Jenwa - My ds comes home with arm-fulls of crap from the MILs. It really pisses us both off. Our house is cluttered enough without shite from her house too! I have learned that when your messages are long, there is often reference to your MIL. That reminds me......she got ds a crap Christmas present with the promise of taking him to Toys R Us for his proper present.... 6 months later and still nothing. He's not a materialistic lad, but she has badly let him down there I think.

Rachie - DH has had a lovely day. Pancakes for breakfast, pint with his dad, dinner at my mums lots of time with his lovely babies and now a big bonfire in the garden and some wine. M has been a good daddy's girl today and has been saying 'daddy' loads. Oh, hang on, you were about 20 mins from me today! Glad you had a lovely day.

Myjob - Love your new pictures on FB. N is looking so grown up now, they're growing too fast aren't they? I know what you mean about this age. M is lovely (although she has just woken up and is screaming the house down) too.

Marthasmama · 21/06/2009 20:57

Rachie - I doubt it really has been him all along but how cool would that be?!

RachieW · 21/06/2009 21:09

MM- I did think you might be somewhere near to Leeds Castle as you'd said about Medway Hosp. Glad dh enjoyed his day and hope M goes back to sleep soon.

Dh and I are now debating who is the Stig, is it Shuie or not. I think you're right and he isn't. I'd love to be the Stig, or do that 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' but I'd have to be a star first. I think maybe I have a speed demon inside me waiting to be released...

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/06/2009 21:10

We forgot about top gear (watching more House) - have they really said who the stig is? Who? I thought there was more than 1 stig anyway.

RachieW · 21/06/2009 21:12

CSWS- I bet there are lots of Stigs. Just told Dh I'd like to race a car and now we are going to Brands Hatch to do it...apparently I bet he forgets.

aubergenie · 21/06/2009 21:16

Evening ladies! Back from long weekend away. I haven't had a chance to catch up but just marking my place. Will catch up soon. Hope you're all well.

I'm fed up now. DH said that he wouldn't do any work tonight and would spend some time with me instead. However, when M woke up about an hour ago, he went up to settle her and fell asleep on the bed. So, I'm sat here on my own again. I tried to wake him up but I'll probably end up waking M if I try too hard.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/06/2009 21:54

At least M is settled though MM. No such luck here. 1 min til I go back up.

Ordered new carrier myjob. At least is reduced a little in their sale.

MM- Pinch him. This is how I wake dh up when he snores Dh is watching James May going into space or pretend space or something..yawn. It could be because I'm glued to the laptop though.

mm you made me chickle re my long threads but you are soo right, my only time I really whinge re MIL

God my dog stinks, Dh been waffting her with a pillow and called me in other room purely for me to smell her now she has followed me in here and all I can smell is dog fart! she has been at MIL for a week so think she is slowly releasing what ever they gave her!

I think it was bull about the stig, he would never do that unless he was paid mega bucks, that was for tv viewing me thinks I bet he is a complete car geek!

rachie he he I bet you felt good knowing you do know best

csws shame you had to buy a new carrier and never managed to find yours

mm bless that Dh asleep too. More MN time

myjob poor N and yes hope its teeth although not nice for her but at least you can control it (hopefully ) with meds then.

jenwa · 21/06/2009 22:05

Just seen this and although its for boys I think DD would love it

RachieW · 21/06/2009 22:09

Jenwa I think it looks cool and don't understand why it's marketed as a boys tent. When I was little my cousin's and I all loved playing A-Team and we were all girls

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/06/2009 22:20

Ds asleep again, but goodness knows how long for .

Apparently we have recorded top gear, so going to watch some of it now, though will need bed part way through.

Have glass of wine and flies keep diving into it and drowning .

OP posts:
jenwa · 21/06/2009 22:26

yuk at flies csws mind you they have good taste to want the wine I drank mine too quickly for any flies to get in

Honeymoonmummy · 21/06/2009 22:26

Hi all, I missed Top Gear, can't believe they said who the Stig was??!?

DH loved his fathers day pressies, he said the canvas was the best present he'd ever had

Just had chinese takeaway mmmmm! It's not gonna take long before I put this stone back on, I will start eating sensibly again soon I promise!

I'm off to bed anyway, sooo tired (story of my life)

Oh and by the way, I think the AD tablets are starting to work, my knees haven't been aching nearly as much yay!

Night all!

RachieW · 22/06/2009 07:36

J is on the move! I've just sat on the floor near him with my laptop and all of a sudden he is dragging himself across the floor on his belly to get his hands on it. He was so quick... I'm so proud! Well better start changing my house round now, putting everything up high and go and buy a fire guard quick!

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/06/2009 08:35

Do you have open fires in summer Rachie? We only use ours in winter, so won't put the fire guard up til then. We just have rubber corners on the hearth, and leave the rest for him to get used to.

OP posts:
jenwa · 22/06/2009 08:54

hm glad your Dh loved his pressie and glad the ADs are helping

rachie yeh, well done J although scary too I am sort of wanting it to happen but also know when it does it will me mad!

Marthasmama · 22/06/2009 09:09

Rachie - M is on the move too, in a sort of dragging rolling, dry-land swimming type of way. She is very fast though! I popped to the loo leaving her with some of her toys and came back to find her under the telly! I have no fenced an area off to prevent her from going into the 'danger' zones. We did this with DS too and it made life so much less stressful. I will re-configure the zone once I have the time as it is a bit restrictive at the moment, poor M. DH made me feel guilty about it, but in the end it's for her safety. I can't take her to the loo with me.....

Hm - Hurrah!!! So glad you feel the ADs are working. Isn't the human body strange eh? Who would have known that depression could cause aching joints? Also glad DH liked his present. My DH insisted that I didn't buy him anything for Father's Day so, I got the family the Leon cookbook. He was over the moon!!! We were going to have Chinese before my mum suggested roast. I wanted Chinese!
