Sazz, enjoy it while it lasts, DD2 has cottoned on to the blame all else apart from herself routine, including those not even in the house

ataraxis · 03/06/2009 21:32

oops , sorry, was so focused on that bloody child ds2 that I didn't read your post properly.

Sorry you have had such a rough time , I hope that things get easier quickly for you.

oopsacoconut · 03/06/2009 21:43

Ataraxis - No worries, I just need to moan away on here as DH doesn't really understand my feelings, although he is trying.

ataraxis · 03/06/2009 21:44

Now I've just had to pull out all the toilet roll I can from the bastard toilet, and the damn thing is still blocked .

and dh is sitting on the beach having a couple of beers with some mates . Good night he picked!

dizzydixies · 03/06/2009 21:45

oops, vent away thats what we're here for

ataraxis · 03/06/2009 21:45

Oops, it is difficult with dh's, I just don't think they can begin to really understand how heartbreaking it is when you can't feed your baby in the way you want to.

Miamla · 03/06/2009 22:12

anyone mind if i have the rum straight up instead of watering it down with the other stuff?

dizzydixies · 03/06/2009 22:14

no objections here, I have a tonne of shot glasses if we're all in?

pertelote · 03/06/2009 22:15

Feeling the stress levels in here tonight. Oops you are doing such a good job - glad tonight was a little easier, I well remember the pain of trying to force DD to drink her one bottle a day of prescription formula (not really the same as your situation I know). They do get the hang of it and drop the accusing looks/howls, I promise.

Hugs to you and everyone else too.

Dizzy that is indeed unreasonable... well I suppose I can see the reasoning but it's very hard to swallow.

Cyteen hope today went well and you are having a lovely cuddly evening...

Miamla what a pain to be beset again, but glad the doc is helpful and sympathetic. Your brother sounds like a great guy to have around!

We went to a lovely city farm today with a couple of NCT chums, it had a sweet cafe which made me think of you Dizzy - homemade cakes and mismatched crockery, very friendly with toys everywhere and healthy food/drinks for kids. As I thought DD was completely uninterested in the animals, it was the same at the zoo last week, she just looks at me as if I am crazy when I try to show her things. Parties of school-aged children on the other hand are an endless fascination... Everyone has back-to-work blues atm. I spoke to mine yesterday, they have approved my request to work two days in the office (for which I have childcare covered by DH and my mum) but they also want me to do one from home... not sure who else I can rope in to help so am thinking about it. A minor problem though compared to many, I know...

dizzydixies · 03/06/2009 22:19

thank you Pertelote, the planning application is online for all to see now and I have another meeting about it tomorrow - the architect sent me an email and is still a bit dubious about how quickly we can get this up and running but still, we're on our way!

pertelote · 03/06/2009 22:20

Sorry for that epic

Hi TS! Yummy mojitos, gracias

hi pertelote, what farm did you go to? sounds lovely

dizz there must be an after school option with someone, surely? if not there's a huge gap in the market!

it took 2 hours to convince DS to sleep tonight. i guess i should be grateful that he's still asleep an hour later

my brother really is lovely. it always amazes me why he's single still. i'm hoping i haven't given him my cold

forgot to share with you about the absolute muppets who work on the reception at the doctors... they sent the referral letters to me! i checked with doc today about whether they were copy letters for me, nope, they're the originals. absolute idiots!
