Hi All - doing filing so back later.

dizzydixies · 09/06/2009 21:05

Please can I have the user-upper-of-left-overs genius crown?
From yesterday's roast chicken and spaghetti I made stock, chicken pie and chicken noodle soup and from the left-over pastry from the pie I made cherry-plait. Pie and plait were yummy, clean plates all round.

DH is watching Patriot Games on TV, but Sean Bean and Harrison Ford sound all wrong in French.

oh and Sazz you're a muppet! why would i want to kill TS for spelling his name correctly? i think that cancels out your request for me to write lines quite nicely

Hello lovely ladies

Can't remember when I last posted but I've fallen off the 'threads I'm on'. Spent all day saturday vomiting, then all day sunday dying whilst trying to look after both ds's - sadly I passed the bug onto dh so he spent all day Sunday in bed or on the loo. Ewww. tmi.

All better now though. Ds1 was only sick once - sadly there was gallons of it. all over my bed. Whilst I was in it. At 8pm on saturday night, just as I was putting him to sleep. Ds2 survived bug free (I secretly suspect him of giving it too us).

Since then work is manic, the house is a frigging MESS and I've ended up yelling at both ds's and dh this evening. Way to go girl!!! Dh seems to think he only has to get himself up and out in the morning, and if he does deign to take one of the kids to drop off then I have to get them dressed and ready! . And I have to do all the frigging laundry from washing to ironing to putting away. Otherwise they get left in a pile, sometimes for weeks at a time I kid you not. THEN, as I'm putting both ds's to bed he has the cheek to come in to our bedroom and ask if I intend to clear the dressing table of 'my shit' . If I'd had my hands free I'd have twisted his knackers whilst punching him in the face with the other hand. So, finallly both boys asleep and I come downstairs to load the dishwasher. DS2 wakes again and won't settle so I end up dumping him back in his cot and asking dh to see to him. To which he gets angry and says 'well what do you expect me to do?'!!!!!!!And breathe...

and now ds2 is awake again!! aaarrrghghghghahghoaihgo;o;u

What is it with DH's and laundry? DH managed to miss a black sock in a colour wash and DD now has a greyey pink towel and sleeping bag. Despite this, which isn't the end of the world, DH informed me that he was better at laundry than me because he got everything done.
I didn't point out that he was only washing his things for 3 weeks and there was still the towels at the bottom of the laundry pail and it was obv the sheets hadn't been donw.
I just wander off to read a book and leave him ranting away to himself.

Miamla · 09/06/2009 21:30

sounds like DH needs a gentle punch!

oopsacoconut · 09/06/2009 21:31

What is it with men tonight? Mine has just claimed that he does the filing done better than me and took over - he said it had been far to long since I did it last and I should get my thumb out For the record I do it at the begining of every month but we have been busy/I have not been well! Steaky I have the same washing comments the majority of DD lovely white vests have gone grey in the last few washes.

Miamla · 09/06/2009 21:35

my DP is spectacually good at washing red things with white things. He now has some beautiful lilac pants

CaptainCaveman · 09/06/2009 21:37

I think a large oversized FUCKSTICKS wouldn't go amiss.

Thank you for the wine, pillow and hair stroking though. Very much appreciated .

At least dh has the common sense not to tell me he can do laundry etc better because when he did that with the cooking....well lets say I've rarely cooked a meal since then!! I'm not knocking him for that, just saying that that is ALL he does

Actually, to make you laugh - I left him to get ds1 dressed for school last week as I had to be out early. I got a panicked phone message at 8.45 saying "Where do you keep ds1's jumpers" and another 2 minutes later "where is his school coat". I missed both calls and picked them up at 9.30. Luckily ds managed to get into school WITH a school uniform AND a coat to boot

Steaknife · 09/06/2009 21:37

oops I do the washing in this house, I actually enjoy doing it - odd that I am. Should DH try he is now trained to only wash his things. I didn't tell him that Izzy's new jeans ran in the wash while we were away and several of her things are now lilacy. It didn't help that my dad put them in the drier so I think the dye is fixed now.

DH been having a daily rant at me since we got back. I am not best pleased. But trying to let it pass.

Steaknife · 09/06/2009 21:39

sazzles even my DH wouldn't claim that. He is bow legged and would look shocking in a frock.

Miamla · 09/06/2009 21:40

hi steaky, good to see you back here. there must be something in the air, what with thelovelypf's return too

all we need now is a bit of S&M
and i mean sausages and mash for the benefit of all you filthy minded ones!
