dizzydixies · 09/06/2009 19:55

very of the baby naming but approve whole heartedly of Isabel

dizzydixies · 09/06/2009 19:56

Armand I love Armand

my ovaries are aching will all this talk of babies

PetitFilou1 · 09/06/2009 19:58

lwfh Missed that you were pg with no2! Congratulations! I remember being in the same position with dcs 1 and 2 - ds was 10 months old when I got pregnant again. But you already know the sex so I guess you are further along - that is one small gap. Good luck with it! And you can't seriously call the lo 'Nacho' for short - that made me lol.

I'm with cyteen (waves and waves to everyone else who has said hello) I like Eduardo.

Some double buggies go through standard doorways - such as the classic Maclaren double (but it is HEAVY and the seats are narrow so no good if you have a larger toddler). Most people where I used to live used the Phil and Ted E3 or whatever it is called - which being baby underneath, toddler on top will obv go through doors. If you don't need to go in shops etc (and have the money) I recommend the mountain double buggy or similar. There are pros and cons to all of them as no-one has found the perfect solution yet imo! I had single buggy with dd in sling, then the maclaren for 5 months and then switched back to my old bugaboo with buggyboard and then later to ds on like a bike and dd in buggy.

pertelote - I second the 'you are not relying on bf as contraception are you' comment!

buckets I'm much much better thanks. Yes I do feel fat but actually I'm only a stone heavier than I used to be and don't drop it until I stop bfing anyway - so sadly I am sure it is just depression and anxiety rearing their heads again as they sometimes do. It runs in the family tbh, my Granny, my dad and one of my sisters all suffer from time to time. How are you feeling if you are being tested for that?

PetitFilou1 · 09/06/2009 20:02

I am eating all my dcs sweets - so far I have had a small packet of lovehearts, two drumstick lollies and a refresher chew thing. It is like being 10 again but I really should leave them some shouldn't I

what'd i miss? who is miamla going to kill??

LWFH Diego Diego Diego!!! Having had so much success with slings this time around (I can still wear my 24lb boy twixt car and shop in my ringsling) I'd be tempted to avoid a double buggy if I suddenly discovered I was pg now. DD was walking loads with reins from 2yrs and as long as I had that nice pocket-sized baby that Kurt was supposed to be I could imagine wearing it for well over a year. But then I guess slings get pretty hot where you are? Phil & Teds surely weighs more than the Mclaren? It's just the kerb-climbing is easier with bigger wheels.

PF I seem to have an un-me apathy rather than depression (tell that to the locum GP though), short term memory loss, pins and needles in my hands every morning, overweight, fatigue plummets, irritability and tension fits, always cold in bed, heavier periods, migraines, family history of thryoid probs and it all started about 5m after having a baby which is another common thing. It's the scattiness that gets me most, I worry what I'm going to do (or not do) next. All in all, if I felt the slightest bit sick I would think I was 3m pg!

I have a date with Dustin Hoffman and some sushi tomorrow, that should cheer me up.

cyteen · 09/06/2009 20:48

I still think Aug 08 has the best baby names

Steaknife · 09/06/2009 20:51

Evenin all

TS for your list, Izzy is 30th Aug - so no need to re-jig the order, just add the date.

Miamla Izzy is pretty much a nap-free zone, so I feel for you. Mind you she does do well at nights. Before we went to England she was sleeping through, but since we were co-sleeping at my dad's and then she had a cot in my room at my mum's place she was waking several times a night.
She isn't back to sleeping through yet but is much more settled now she is home.

I've run out of ideas for naps, am giving it a week of putting her down awake and leaving her and if she doesn't get the hang of it I will go back to wheeling her up and down the terrace.

Our routine is changing again as DH now comes home for lunch. I've given up trying to pursuade him to do earlier bedtimes as DD is sleeping 11-12 hours so can't complain. Now the daft so and so has suggested going later - I really do wonder sometimes!

DD has finally got her appetite going - she lost it the first week at my dads. Now DH can see her shovelling the food in he isn't so worried that she is starving by letting her self-feed.

Still no crawling or rolling to speak of - though she does do a good downward-dog. She much prefers standing and is starting to pull herself up to standing.

She has tons of energy - some if it nervous - and is very tiring. My mum agreed, so glad to know it isn't just me being a crap mum.

Right better let someone else post something...

dizzydixies · 09/06/2009 20:51
