miamla nah you're just feeling guilty as you missed me off your list (have mopped all floors - that need doing anyway so allowed a break)

dizzydixies · 09/06/2009 13:04

good grief, can you lot not talk in anything other than loud roars !?!??!?

thanks for drugs/water and bacon butty VG was surprisingly fine this morning after all that wine culture, fed Dylan just after 6am and the DH got up with them all for brekkie so I had a lie in till 8am

DH away with DD2 to buy petrol for his strimmer and I'm here obsessingovertheplanning feeding Dylan OR should I say picking up stuff off the floor - does anyone know how many calories are involved with picking things up 40times at lunch?!

ALBS wishing you all a speedy recovery, Nux Vom is very good for sickness/nausea if you can get some

TS great list but would chop it right down to those of us still here and a few stragglers

miamla hope the wee man is doing ok today and my inanedrivel hints are helping

right am off but before I go apologies for the half cut scottish drunken pap last night - I shouldn't be allowed out on a school night

PetitFilou1 · 09/06/2009 13:18

awwww dizzy I think I had better turn my music down

Glad I have company in the body not getting back to normal stakes. You wouldn't think my dh was a doctor as he suggested I go to the GP as not having a period for 18 months was unusual ..... cue me 'you don't tend to get one while you are pregnant' and face. dh did look a bit sheepish....

back later

Miamla · 09/06/2009 13:54

lol re pf's dr dh!
oh, i see you spotted my liitle ommission...sorry

dizz your drivel tips and expectant's link have shaped our day so far. i'm not counting chickens just yet but he napped for an hour this morning!

Expectant · 09/06/2009 14:33

Miamla yay go T. Fingers crossed for the rest of the day and more importantly the night!

Miamla · 09/06/2009 14:53

i'm amazed so far... the whole day has been filled with eating and napping. when's playtime??!
on a serious note, have I been starving him? although i guess all i've been doing today is little and often instead of 3 main events.ok, ignore me

;[/
2nd nap of the day = 1hr 45! unheard of!

cyteen · 09/06/2009 14:59

Go Miamlad!

Hi pf, good to hear from you again Still no periods here either, it is great

Oh, I hear waking boy...back in a bit (hopefully).

pertelote · 09/06/2009 15:18

Sounds good, Miamla - fingers crossed for tonight.

ALBS hope you are beginning to feel better [optimistic!] - how grim to all be ill at once. Are you going to tell the pub?

Lovely to see PF, hullo! Had 3 or 4 periods here . Going back on the pill is definitely on my list of 'pros' for when BFing stops...

Dizzy you did make me laugh last night! I am allergic to bookclubs but if it's just an excuse for cake and wine perhaps I should rethink!

DH and I are going out tonight - first time leaving Marianne in the evening (we went to the theatre once but MIL pushed her round the foyer ). No idea whether she'll settle, we'll be back quite early so not too bad if she doesn't! But wish us luck...

Hey PF Good to see you, are things in RL perking up for you? Was thinking about you as I'm waiting to see an endocrinologist about possible underactive thyroid - wondered if you'd been tested as iirc you were feeling fat, tired and depressed - all of which are symptoms.

Pert Surely there are pills you can go on whilst BFing? You're not relying on that are you?

Talking of which must remind DH to chase up his sperm results - has been nearly 6m since the snip! I'm still waiting til Xmas before going 100% condom-free though, will keep using them around ovulation just in case.

Really tired here today and my neighbour just knocked with my keys which I had left in the car door this avo( but not so at the moment.) Still managed to make a delish but utterly unclassy porky pea-y pasta in cheesey mustardy sauce.

Am in that 'f*ck em' mood tonight, feel like whizzing out for fags, chocolate and booze as soon as DH gets home. But he revealed he is at least 2 stone overweight the other day which really shocked me, so maybe I'll just stick to the fags. I still have 10lbs to lose so it's time to start working together on it.

TwilightSurfer · 09/06/2009 17:55

Buckets you just remind me about what I need to be checking up on too. Will admit to not being as careful as you though. And with AF being late a week this time I'm wondering if O will be late or did it just happen..... Geez now I have a headache.

The LIST.....
Here's what I'll do: I'll research who on the list, that's NOT a regular, is STILL MNing (within the last 6months say)....keeping and removing based on the findings. Good for ya'll?

HP on the top of houses from yesterday, Tennessee has a nice housing market if you move from other areas. The house in the link would run you in the millions in California for example. I'd be happy to set up a few viewings for you if you and your family would like to relocate.....I have those kind of connections.

Sazzles, well done on getting those windows scheduled. Does seem like it's taken ages. What colors will you be painting in the rooms??

Just thought you all would be please to know that I "think" Reese passed what she chocked on yesterday. I've had the lovely pleasure of going through poop for the past 24 hours (3 diapers so far) and moments ago I unearthed a knotted up string. It was long enough to start going down easily but knotted up in such a way to get that gag reflux going. Don't worry. I did wash my hands TWICE before typing this post.

update from albs
she's in her bed, with her husband but not doing anything naughty

lwfh · 09/06/2009 18:10

Hello everyone, thanks for the messages, and hope that the sleep stuff goes well tonight Miamla.

WRT when do you play as DS is always sleeping or napping - here the definite time for the park is after the second nap - and he will often have his tea as a picnic if we aren't going to be home. More so in the summer, as it is really too hot to go out before 4pm.

I have a friend with 2 DC and she said that most of her day is filled with one or other of them eating or sleeping.

Was it hp who said that if her DC woke up crying she tried to get them back to sleep - I usually take the same approach.

Yesterday was rubbish, with very poor naps, but today I went out on my own (for some blood tests, but there have been cases of swine flu at the hospital so I didn't want to take DS). I don't think that I have been ALONE for that long since before DS came along. Before I got married I spent lots of time alone. It's really funny how different things are.

Re: the new one, everything going OK so far I think. I'm still shattered and a bit pukey feeling. Re names: well, I think that it was the LadyofWaffle who said that she couldn't name a boy James to go with Tom as it would be too much like Thomas the Tank Engine. Now, I just think that this is really cool! Unfortunately the Spanish for James is Jaime or Santiago. I don't like Jaime (would be pronounced Hi-Meh) and I quite like Santiago but it would be shortened to Santi, which I don't like at all. DH fairly adament that we will have Spanish spellings so I think that I am losing the battle here. Maybe Ignacio for a boy, with Nacho or Jed as a nickname (Jed because we are still watching teh West Wing, but I am not sure this is the best reason for naming a child). We still have Isabel saved up for a girl. DHs surname is A T so any names starting with E or F are completely out I think, which means no Eduardo or Francisco, which we both quite like.

Re: double buggies - do they generally go through doorways or not?

PS another vote here for thelovelypf as a name

lwfh · 09/06/2009 18:14

oooh, lots of x-posts - hello TS (and eugh re: poo) and Miamla. hope ALBS recovers. D & V is horrid.

and Buckets - I like humous on toast when I want to eat rubbish food but am feeling too virtuous for chocolate

lwfh · 09/06/2009 18:17

oh and low-calorie beer

TwilightSurfer · 09/06/2009 18:27

Longway you sound like you are doing so so so well with no2 on the way. I just can't tell you how happy I am for you. On the double buggie topic, mine's a JOOVY. It's like a single stroller width-wise. The double part is the tandem seat in the rear (with it's own "lock down" straps. T might not be old enough for it though....but then it might. It's made for the mobile (busy body) child. Google Joovy Tandem to see the different styles.

so far we know of 27 people from Sunday's party who are ill - and that is only people related to church - there were other rellies and friends of the christening family who we haven't a clue about .

TwilightSurfer · 09/06/2009 18:33

LWFH this is my Joovy style. I just noticed when I googled they make a double seat with tandem...good for THREE dcs.

ALBS WOW! 27 people. What on earth did they feed you all? {{{hugs}}}}

I didn;t mentuion thatb we were both playing solitaire on our ohones .

it was a cold buffet - sandwiches, sausages, bits of chicken etc etc. My guesds is someone doing the food preparation (was provided by the pub) had a bug. if was food poisoning it would have come out sooner i think.. .

The night of sickness reminded me that i NEVER want to be pregnant again lol.

Our tv broek the other day and today the washing machine has started to leak. I think that's our 3 things for now, eh?

Miamla · 09/06/2009 18:50
