TS thanks for the list and some sanity - what was going on with you lot last night!

Miamla hope you managed to get some sleep. {{hugs}} and thanks for the present ideas link most useful. For routines I found this quite helpful - not as regimented as she who must not be named www.babybliss.com.au/Docs/Nine%20to%20Twelve%20months.pdf

Dizzy am a tad worried about the norks too with the bridesmaids dress as heaven only knows what state they'll be in once I give up bfing!

Expectant · 09/06/2009 08:15

Have just put Sam down for his afternoon nap (a bit later than usual - which doesn't bode well for tonight) and it is 31 degrees in his room - yikes!

Expectant · 09/06/2009 08:19

Oh as I'm here on my own I might as well tell you that have managed to impart hidying habits to DS at this early age. I have an Anthea Turner (Perfect Housewife) obsession with baskets. Anyway DS has taken to putting his toys (and anything else he can get hold of) into any of the said baskets or boxes that he finds. He does then empty the baskets but we're working on that one!

Miamla · 09/06/2009 08:29

thanks expectant, quite similar to the drunken one's so we're giving it a go. you're going to be able to set a clock by me today. hmm DS is having breakfast so it must be just after 8

DP brought me up a cup of tea in bed this morning. He very rarely does this. It is a sure sign that he realised how bad last night was! I'm not going to bore you with details but suffice to say, the longest I was in bed for was 1hr and 20mins

dizz did you perchance sit on your fecking cultured crown? it looks a little squashed oh, i forgot MORNING!!!!

ts see, I told them i did, i said wait for TS, she'll sort us out. but did they listen? did they heck! and its plain for all to see the hash we they made of it.
Don't do a special update for me but could i have 'Theo' as Theodore please, thank you

Miamla · 09/06/2009 08:31

I'm here Expectant!
our DSs really are dopples of each other! That's exactly what mine's doing. I spent ages last night looking for my phone, found it in his toy box! And in fact yesterday he got into the toy box himself, still not quite sure how he managed it but i found he proudly standing in it amongst his toys!

Morning Expectant or should that be afternoon

We have had a sleepign baby again she slept from 7.30 to 5.30 fed and slept until 7.45 when the builders woke her up! She is still having revolting nappies but seem fine in herself - I'm wondering if it's the milk?

Dizzy - mmmm cheesecake mmmmm

Miamla hope you have had a reasonably peaceful if not sleepfilled night.

TS - I.m not being funny but do you maybe want to cut down the list slightly? Also can we get your first list removed? It had DD's name in full and it's not a very popular name and I would rather no-one I recommend the site to finds me. [paranoid emoticon]

oopsacoconut · 09/06/2009 08:38

Hi Miamla - x post - sorry your night was so bad {{hugs}}

Hi VG thanks for the bacon cutty stuff but I am being virtuous and having porridge with rhubarb and apple compote!

Miamla · 09/06/2009 08:44

vg yeah, but not sure how many more nights of this i can take. he's making leaps and bounds in his development so i guess its only natural that he wants to be practising and not sleeping but I need sleep even if he doesn't. the good news is that i didn't get as upset or cross with him as i did the night before (looking at the positives and all that!)

oops nappies here take a turn for the worse when he's teething. she's doing amazingly well on her sleep! well done to you, you're obviously doing something very right!

how many times does a child need to hit his head on a table before he realises that he can't just bend over and pick up a toy if its under the table? I'll let you know once he's done!

Miamla · 09/06/2009 08:45

erm, was that meant to be for Dizz? sorry!

Miamla - I am sure the sleeping is related to somthing else but not sure what? I know it will all come crashing down to the many wakeups again soon. Sorry rub in that she is sleeping and DS isn't . DD has also failed to grasp the fact that if you bump your head it hurts then if you do it again it will hurt again!

alittlebitshy · 09/06/2009 09:19

well, we survived our night - but all 4 of us us were being sick last night. Poor little ds He's never been sick apart form milky sick before he was a little koala, just clinging to me.

we all feel weak and wobbly today. dd is ready to have some dry toast, ds will be on the bfs only for most of the day and not sure about dh and i.

we know we got it from a christening on sunday. The party was in a function room at a local pub and was catered by the pub. We know of at least one other person with the same as us so it has to be that.

Miamla · 09/06/2009 09:24

oops don't be silly, you're not rubbing it in at all! i'm pleased that you're getting some sleep!

Miamla · 09/06/2009 09:25

oh no, albs you poor thing. can i do anything to help?

oopsacoconut · 09/06/2009 09:36

ALBS - Hope you ar all feeling better soon.

hotterpotter · 09/06/2009 11:24

ALBS so sorry to hear you are all feeling poorly I hope your mummy is working her magic on you now.

Dizzy I hope you are not also suffering the same symptoms as ALBS after your bottle glass of wine last night

Oops you fibber I'm sure you said the other day that you don't drink! Good to hear that you are human after all

Miamla perhaps if DS hits his head on the table enough times he'll knock himself out and you can all have a good sleep

Am feeling a bit stupid this morning. All set for my driving lesson at 11, but no sign of my instructor. Double check my calendar, driving lesson is at 2. Doh Oh well time to tidy up as the house is a fecking tip and unfortunately no putting-away gene has appeared in either of my DC. Not surprising really considering their parents...

oopsacoconut · 09/06/2009 11:34

HP I don't drink but DH was celebrating a new big job - I am easily led when he promises me things like takeaway. I don't normally like the taste but the fizzy stuff was quite yummy.

PetitFilou1 · 09/06/2009 12:27

Hello
Just dropping in.......I can't get on here as often as I used to.

albs Sorry to hear about the bug - sounds awful (just read first page of thread - or last should that be). Vomiting and childcare not a good combination.

We've had awful nights recently as Toby has about 6 teeth coming at once. One upper canine has now popped out and the other is on its way. On the plus side Tobes now has three 'words' - 'adda' which I take to be Dad, a very distinct 'hello' (which shocked one the mums at toddler group today!) and 'o oh' as in whoops I've dropped something. I'm sure this is early but am pleased as I like a non verbally frustrated child!

Right off to mop floors after reading a bit more.....

PetitFilou1 · 09/06/2009 12:34

Oh and dizzy have missed you too but just trying to keep my feet planted in reality

Have been thinking of you actually as I have bought a load of clothes recently (only cheap but nice and has cheered me up no end)

sazzles am thinking of changing login to 'thelovelypf' - makes me laugh when I see that

btw STILL no period here. Is that a record? My body clearly knows it would not be a good idea to get pregnant at the moment (not that there is much chance of that with the no sex until no condoms we are having atm

TwilightSurfer · 09/06/2009 12:34

Hola!

First list should be removed shortly.

Theo updated to Theodore on future list.

RL getting in the way but should be gone soon.

Hoping to have a better day today.

Wishing the same for everyone here.

No words of wisdom other than BREATH.
