Have a lovely time Jammy and Happy birthday to DD for tomorrow.

LittleMissNorty · 12/06/2009 22:05

Ahh that's lovely saying Bye ...once they start they don't stop!!

LackaDAISYcal · 12/06/2009 22:15

Norrty, we used to use one of those trolleys realised he could get hold of DD's hair!

sounds like a good day Jammy and yay for Jamlet saying bye to her guests.

DD said I love you mummy for the first time without any promnpting...it made me all gooey and gushy and soppy.

apols for yping I'm sitting in the dark and my keybpard has crumbs under it again as it keeps sticking!

nbaksy exhibition looks good.....wish I lived in the big city sometimes; it's a bit of a cultural vaccuum here, although we do have Henry Moore as one of Leeds favourite sons.

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 12/06/2009 22:27

Is Leeds not a big city then?

It'll be quite good when DS can get his own back on DD. She spends a lot of time poking his belly button, pointing at his willy and generally leaning over him being a PITA! She holds his hands in a death grip in the shopping trolley...one day she'll have his arm out of its socket!

Where's Ria today?

Right off to bed for me...DS had me up at 5am and it was a bit of shock to the system!

Night all

LackaDAISYcal · 12/06/2009 22:45

Leeds is a village Norty....if I go into town I can guarantee I'll meet at least one person that I know.....and I don't know that many people here!

It joins up with Bradford which makes it very sprawly from east to west, but we live in the burbs of NE Leeds and are only fifteen minutes from the city centre and ten minutes into open country.

Ria posted earlier saying they were having people over.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 12/06/2009 23:21

There are lots of orange ladies in Leeds city centre. That's what I noticed anyhoo!

Evening all!

Hello trace if you are still around and happy birthday to chloe. Sorry you had a hospital trip on holiday, but hope you had a nice time any way. Hope you get some answers about chloe soon.

Happy birthday to jamlet for tomorrow.

I would love to go to the Banksy exhibition, it looks really cool. I bet my bro is going, he is a bit of a graffiti arteeest. He used to get paid by the council to decorate the underpasses!

My two are terrible in the supermarket. We were in waitrose the other day and ds escaped from the pushchair and legged it out the door on to the street before I could get him. I had to run after him and yell at dd to stay still and hold onto the pushchair! It would have been very embarrassing if I actually gave a shit!!

Daisy, have you had any of your "articles" delivered yet?

LackaDAISYcal · 12/06/2009 23:30

pmsl holly.....and i'm sure it's the only place where the Baby K clothes from mothercare sell well

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 12/06/2009 23:32

not yet holly......one coming next wednesday, not sure about the other two.

had the email from J today though....you know, the scary one about social networking sites

guess I'm not getting anything else this year.

TheNatty · 13/06/2009 09:15

lol i got that one too.. she is watching us!!

got a party to go to today, and am tackling the thing i have put of most this year... getting rid of the dummies.
we are posting them to the dummy fairy (the postman will phsl when he finds the envelope in the post box) and there will be presents awaiting them on their pillows come bedtime.

decided to do it cos tom woke me up three times and ellen twice to look for the damn things in the middle of the night!

glad jammys partywent well

HellHathNoFury · 13/06/2009 09:26

I got one of these the other day, bloody excellent and I would highly recommend.
I am generally not a kitchen gadget freak but my morphy richards slow cooker caught fire and I bought this as a replacement, it's brilliant!

Rialentless · 13/06/2009 11:29

morning all, very tired and ever so slightly hungover am really cross with myself, because I stuck really well to the food part of my diet but blew it on the drink (and my friend is a terrible drunk, and a teensy bit not very nice with it) I did have a nice evening, but I didn't IYKWIM.

hi trace, sorry to hear about DD.

Jammy, glad the party went well. yay jamlet for saying bye. My friend thought it was funny that baggins said drink last night, she was trying to get him to shout girls and feck too he wasn't impressed.

Dsis has ducked out of our planned outing tomorrow, and I've told my parents not to rush back off their holiday cos I was sorted for tomrrow, so i'm going have to take the boys into the back-end of East Yorkshire by myself.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 13/06/2009 12:19

at the Baby K clothes. Some of them are truly hideous, worn only by the babies with earrings and these!

That looks good fury, I do love a slow cooker. I can just tip a load of meat and veggies in it without even touching the dead animal! Genius! It is also good for when people come round as it makes me look like a domestic goddess with my home cooking smelling house!

I don't think we are on the radar. I think it was more the threads on Bounty and Askamum, the Bounty one especially was quite obvious. It has been removed now though. I have received 2 of my articles with 3 more to come! My garage is going to be full!

Good luck with the dummies natty. Dd took ages to give hers up. Ds wasn't really interested, he prefers his human dummy!

HellHathNoFury · 13/06/2009 13:36

wtf is baby k?
wtf is radar and askamum?

Rialentless · 13/06/2009 16:29

babyK

we used to have a lot of orange women in our village, but the tanning shop went out of business so they look slightly more normal now.

TheNatty · 13/06/2009 20:11

dummy removal day has been ok so far, we took them out all day so they are knackered and watching charlie and lola dvds in bed now.
ellen cried for it a few times, and tom asked for it before bed, but i just acted like its not my fault cos the dummy fairy took them away, and would they like a nice toy tomorrow when they wake up?

god im tired now tho, not looking forward to the middle of the night "where is my dummy" but it has to been done.

this new baby has two dummys and once they have been lost (prob a few weeks in) im not buying any more, they are more trouble then they are worth!!!

how was everyone elses days?

LackaDAISYcal · 14/06/2009 08:35

I hope the dummy removal went OK last night Natty!

We try to only use bumble's if he is really whingy or fighting sleep......DH has a habit of popping it in if he is passing, and I just take it out again!

had a horrible night last night; went to bed way too late; bumble hadn't fed well in the day yesterday so wanted to feed all night. And I promised Mr Daisy a lie in this morning

and my day started by having to rake through the bins for a receipt for Boots as they forgot to take the security tag off the trousers I bought for bumble yesterday. Thankfully I found it.

More sun sun sunshine here today....back in the garden for us and maybe get the paddling pool out later.

LittleMissNorty · 14/06/2009 09:15

I need to do dummy removal with DD...its a nightmare. She only has it at night now...but now she's in the big bed, if she can't find it, she just reaches over and grabs another from the bedside table!

I've never managed to get one into DS...just not a sucky baby I spose....I'll be grateful for it in months to come.....

DS started waking for a feed again at night having slept through for a while now ....2.30am this morning .....he's only 19 weeks so don't want to wean just yet (although I weaned DD at 21 weeks). Don't know what to do.

We're off to a fun fair today....bet DD will be too scardy-cat to go on anything!

Rialentless · 14/06/2009 09:28

morning, DS2 had his dummy til after he started nursery, I need to do mummys-finger-removal with baggins, he wouldn't entertain a dummy, but will still happily suck a finger (bad BF habit)

gorgeous day here. 2 kids bathed and dressed, picnic made, DH still in bed. we are off to Pocklington to watch DS1 play tennis.

LittleMissNorty · 14/06/2009 10:33

Sounds a lovely day Ria. Have fun

I've just put DDs cot on e-bay ....where have the last two years gone?

TheNatty · 14/06/2009 11:30

not the paddling pool daisy dont do it!!
sounds like everyone has good days planned, im going to try not to lose my marbles!

well, the night went fine but this morning has been hell on earth.
both kids screaming and crying in church AND on the way home, have put ellen in bed now as she is driving me insane and im going to end up smacking her at this rate.

thomas has been told unless he goes outside to play for a while im going to kill him

im havin a bad mummy morning

oh and madam got me up at 6am.. so im tired as well.

LackaDAISYcal · 14/06/2009 14:58

norty, can you try and get an extra milk feed in during the day? or increase the volume he is taking or try the hungry baby stuff?

I've had to send DH back to bed! He had an infected insect bite last week and was taking ABs all week. It has flared up again and he has a really really nasty case of cellulitis now (his whole elbow is swollen with the redness going up and down his arm either side, but I practically had to drive him to the doctors myself; he is such a fecking martyr. He has been really tired and woozy, but saying he was fine and carrying on with gardening. Anyhoo he went to the walk in centre and has got more, industrial strength, ABs and Anti-histamines and steroid cream and was apologising for feeling like shit and leaving me to deal with the littlies. I sent him to bed. The doctor drew a line round it and if it hasn't started to respond in 12 hours he has to go to A&E for IV ABs.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 14/06/2009 15:24

OMG...bumble has just bum shuffled about a foot across the floor to get to DD's toy bucket ......but ; I'll need eyes in the side of my head as well as the back now!!

OP posts:
Rialentless · 14/06/2009 16:59

BIL had that daisy and he now has an epi-pen. DH has to just go to A&E and get injected with something if he gets stuck (wasps only I think) so he should probably get one too.

Well, we have had the Sunday from hell! We only chose a laybay for our picnic that seems to be the top men-only dogging spot in those parts (all the nice picnic areas being near water or on the other road - we found loads on the way home!) DS1s team lost 7-1, and if I had had the nerver I would have dragged DS off the court - he kept falling over and rolling on the floor, and letting go of his raquet when he swung for the ball. I could kill him. Instead I am withdrawing payment for his tennis lessons. If he wants to keep playing then he can damn well earn it (and buck his ideas up).

Off to feed the kids then visit my parents. DH out, hopefully sorting out the missing wages and doing some work (and telling them he no longer works at 2 hours notice)

Rialentless · 14/06/2009 17:14

baggins is nodding off on the sofa next to me, he has had 2 sleeps in the car. Hope he's OK.

I have won Rosie and Jim on ebay for less than £10. I am a happy bunny and can't wait til they come. Hope they're here for Friday. (only ittle ones, not big freaky life-sized!)

Must go "prepare" cold chicken and cous cous...

LackaDAISYcal · 14/06/2009 20:39

Sorry for your day Ria, but the top dogging men only layby has got to be worth a mention in the top tourist spots of E Yorks

DH has gone to A&E. He slept all afternoon and when he woke up the infection has spread further and he looks (and feels) like shite.

Of course he took the car, but what if they keep him in? If he needs IV antibiotics will they do that? I want to have some wine but might need to go and pick up his car!!
