Well done to thing1 tallulah! Ds used to escape from the Bumbo. It was very amusing to watch him! He would pop one leg out, flip himself over, end up face down on the floor with one leg still stuck in and then pop that one out! Have you seen the Bumbo vids on You Tube? Some of them are really funny!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 28/05/2009 16:04

I can't remember the address of the Duplo thing, I haven't done it either ! I'll find it out and get back to you later.

TALLULAHBELLE · 28/05/2009 16:08

Have no idea how she did it - obviously I wasn't supervising too closely .

How mad about the shoes - am off to search my wardrobe/knicker drawer/laundry basket for boggin old gear.

LittleMissNorty · 28/05/2009 17:08

bugger. Didn't get any e-mails this year

Website for feedback is here

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 28/05/2009 17:10

I don't think the non big things emails have been sent out yet (nappies, small toys etc.) so you may still be lucky. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for the link too.

TALLULAHBELLE · 28/05/2009 18:25

so do we just add a comment or is there a feedback form or something. Couldn't find any instructions.

LittleMissNorty · 28/05/2009 19:07

Go down to the bottom where it says "Reviews", click on "comments", go down to the bottom and add yours.

Arse....our bath is broken! There is a crack around the plughole which is leaking to the underside. Arse Arse Arse. Mind you, it is a horrible ancient avocado thing and I wanted a new bathroom, but we can't fecking afford it.

How many knickers will I need to sell to fund a new fecking bath?

HellHathNoFury · 29/05/2009 07:34

I'm about to go swimming.

Please can someone notify greenpeace in case they try to rush to my aid?

LackaDAISYcal · 29/05/2009 08:08

my fecking stoopid rather silly DH thinks we can replace the bath, but not retile the bathroom or redecorate. Arse. The tiles are green water splash effect with palm trees and blackened mouldy grout with a huge patch that is stuck on with mastic and a placky bag covering a missing tile. FFS, twunt. But, redecorating the bathroom means we live in a 1980s nursing home front room for another couple of years . I'm beginning to HATE this house.

not heard any reports on the news of new greenpeace activity fury; I think you're safe

We done our bathroom first Daisy....and a decent shower was such a luxury.

Sputnik · 29/05/2009 11:32

Daisy, just hang on a couple more years and your bathroom decor will be due for a revival! As for the grouting and plastic bag, have you never heard of shabby chic?
Can you not maybe do some cheap quick fixes to the living room to make it nicer meanwhile?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 29/05/2009 12:13

Oh yes, shabby chic. My whole house is shabby chic, 'tis v stylish dontcha know! I especially like my mouldy grout, cracked basin and lifting floor tiles in the bathroom and the glorious dusty dusky pink carpet in the living room! We had the same problem as you with our bath daisy. My dad came round and cut the plughole out, glued the crack with some sort of sealy stuff and replaced the plughole with a new one. He has also glued our toilet cistern at the back where it cracked. I love my house !

LackaDAISYcal · 29/05/2009 12:43

shhhhhh holly, don't tell him it can be repaired! It'll be with us forever if he finds that out!

I am hopefully selling the powertwin soon which will pay for most of the suite....it's just the replastering and retiling and flooring that will cost the most.

Thankfully our shower is newish and is fine. a working shower is no1 priority in this house.

LittleMissNorty · 29/05/2009 13:23

Oh sounds good. Can I recommend underfloor heating....its fab. The mat costs about £100 off e-bay and fits under the tiles. Its lovely in the winter.

I had a "hotel shower" fitted when my bathroom was done with a huge overhead flower and controls in the wall so to speak. Prior to that, I had to stand in the bath pressed up against the wall for a pathetic dribble of sometimes hot water from an ancient electric shower!

Its bloody hot here today....I considered the paddling pool....then decided not....am I mean? Do I tell the 6 littlies that are coming tomorrow to bring their cossies or am I asking for trouble?

Sputnik · 29/05/2009 13:32

Set up the pool Norty, it'll keep them happy for ages, giving you time to relax with a cool drink.

Well in theory anyhow.

HellHathNoFury · 29/05/2009 13:43

I would LOVE to get out our paddling pool.
It was a gift from my sister.

Except it is the size of our garden and in the shape of a massive pirate ship, complete with hats, flags and water cannons.

Shame that it is sitting, rotting in the shed, but a £4 tesco jobby would have done. Think I shall purchase a normal sized one tomorrow.

LackaDAISYcal · 29/05/2009 13:48

I'm not sure our 50 year old wiring will stand it norty, although it does sound lush!

get the pool out norty, you know you want to!

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 29/05/2009 14:21

Well, I've text them all to tell them to bring cossies.....oh god, what have I done.....is my house going to get full of wet kids and water everywhere?????

LittleMissNorty · 29/05/2009 14:24

Fury....ours is a princess castle pool.....may nip to Asda and get a normal one

LackaDAISYcal · 29/05/2009 14:29

I'm going to get the pool out I think.

We have a helicopter one that DS had as a ball pool when little. We also have a mahooosive great thing with a slide in it that sprays water if you connect the hose, but it takes about four hours to fill! the best one is the £4 tesco jobby though!

LittleMissNorty · 29/05/2009 16:25

DD is having a tantruming day.....and its sending me fucking MAD.....just as well I haven't got the pool out!

She is sitting on the naughty step for the second time atm for pulling the dogs tail...thank god we have a Labrador...anything else would've bitten her by now.

Its very sweet when she says "orry" to the dog though and grabs his face for a kiss

LittleMissNorty · 29/05/2009 16:26

She's now crying "duddle, duddle mummy"....mean aren't I?

LackaDAISYcal · 29/05/2009 20:27

Like everything else involving my children....the idea of the paddling pool was far far nicer and less stressful than the reality ; DS1 kept jumping about and splashing bumble, DD was pulling up weeds from the patio and collecting stones to make some sort of soup, and bumble just sat and sobbed. He did cheer up a bit after I had added six kettles of boiling water though as it was definately a bit nippy at first.

Mine torment the cat Norty; and no amount of telling them makes them stop it. DD has been scratched more than once but she never learns. Her tantrums invariable involve a lot of her telling me "me's crying mummy"; like I can't hear her.

she fell asleep at the table tonight, but when I took her up she rallied and it took her two hours to go to sleep. She was almost dead on her feet, but still going . I found her curled up on the floor under her bed eventually.

DH has gone fishing; I'm bored.
