I think I'll set up our travel cot downstairs so I can put one of them in it if I need to while dealing with the other. I know she's only just starting to walk, a few steps at a time, so hopefully won't protest too much at being confined for a few mins.

I think we still have one of our slings, I did get rid of a couple but I think might have one more substantial one, will dig it out. I know she's lighter than B was at that age.

Am watching Slumdog Millionaire. I should concentrate on it

KnitterInTheNW · 27/07/2009 08:31

Good luck for today LadyBee, you'll be shattered by the end of it but you'll have had good fun!

Slumdog Miillionaire is something I really want to watch, but don't know when I'll ever get round to it!

EllieG · 27/07/2009 09:27

I want to watch that but DH says it's full of singing and dancing and he refuses, bah.

Was our wedding anniversary yesterday and DSD was off with a friend all day and so me, DH and DD went out for lunch and then walked down to beach and chilled out, was so lovely. DD is being all gorgeous at the moment, my Mum offered to have her for a couple of hours while we had lunch, but I didn't want her to go! I am missing her at the moment, really looking forward to holiday (go on sat!) so can have 2 weeks of her.

So is 11 o clock at giraffe. Sal, will email you. And knitter, BR and MHAH and ladybee, will you email someone so we have your mob no's too?

bunnyrabbit · 27/07/2009 09:32

Sorry I missed this. Too late to pitch in now I suppose, but it's all down to the Preperation. Whenever I have both kids I always prep for lunch so that if we go out, or have an unexpected visitor/mishap/phone call I'm not rushing around when they're hungry. I also try and prep dinner after lunch when the little one is a sleep and the big one otherwise engaged (book/telly/playing with toys).

Travel cot is a good idea as if someone comes to the door you might have to prevent them trying to escape, which can be difficult if you're signing for a parcel! I have always had a changing station downstairs and also leave some spare clothes downstairs in case of leakages!!

Make sure you have enough beakers/plates/cutlery clean so you don't have to wash anything up at all during the day. Make sure you have any DVDs you might use out and ready use. Place tissues and wipes at strategic points around the house.

Hope you're enjoying the day!!

We had a fantastic time at the festival. Next year we're going to go for the whole weekend and camp.

Ok, search for a mumsnetgroup on fb. there's a thread on it saying what everyone's mn names are. I'm on page 10.

If that doesn't work we'll work something out without giving too much away on here!

One last try at linking to it... www.facebook.com/inbox/readmessage.php?t=1027899273447&f=1&e=0#topic_top

Just putting this on my threads again.

Horrid headache again today, took 1 paracetemol though and it went. DH on holiday (here) this week which is nice, a bit of help for me.

He was a total arse y'day. A TOTAL one. It was fights on Sunday that we went to watch (DH not fighting), so we were in audience.

First of all, moments before we left, that woman text him AGAIN asking where he was, how he was etc. I was worried she was going to be there, but she wasn't. So DH said he didnt want to go after show party incase she was (backstage hanger on, you see). But later he said he wanted to go out, but would be home for sure at 1130pm as he wasnt up for all night, etc. Are you sure, says me, Yes, says he, for sure. 230am the bastard falls in the hall. Not even a text. He was puking in the morning yesterday, was a bag of shit all fucking day. He was and still is extremely sorry. I havent been this mad for a long long time.

Anyway i text woman a lovely (but dignified, no swearing or name calling, apart from calling her a 'desperate backstage hanger on' ) message, she claims she wil ldelete his number, but he has now changed his. I am pissed off beyond belief that i still have to go through this, 10 fucking bastarding months later. And although it sounds like it, i dont blame her (well 2% for pursuing, the rest is his)

I have banned him from fighting in the town where he met her (tough really IMO).
And breathe

Apart from this drama (just for a change involving DH & women)everything is good!
