Oooh yes we like Tegan, is quite normal down here (Celtic name i think).

KnitterInTheNW · 13/07/2009 17:17

I think it'd go well with R, J and M's names too.

OP posts:
PeachyTheRiverParrettHarlot · 13/07/2009 17:28

Lots of Tegans here too Scorps, so is celtic.... hang on will get celtic baby name book (you want it? I wont be needing again for sure!0....

Yep, Cornish for pretty thing and Welsh for beutiful.

Though I think you should go for Frangag Medb or Oileabhear (there are some nice ones in there too BTW!)

BR next tiome someone if they do) comments about not walking, remember that early pointing is a sign of not having autism so you can scratch that off the list- excellent result

Scorps · 13/07/2009 17:58

Peachy, i simply must call her Frangag Medb and will show DH later (how on earth is that pronounced????)

We shall be having the argument discussion in 3 weeks on a girls name, if indeed it is a girl, which it isn't.

PeachyTheRiverParrettHarlot · 13/07/2009 18:02

sadly frangaf is like fran with a gag (cruel)

dunno abou6t Medb but comes from the drink mead meaning her who makes men drunk

niiiiiiice

Scorps · 13/07/2009 18:03

sounds throughly pleasant

I know someone who deserves that name

Denny185 · 13/07/2009 19:34

There are lots of Caitlan's and Meghan's round here.
1 of the classes I go to the instructor is pregnant and she mentioned today she was of for a scan, I thought it must be her 12 week one but no its 20 week. I swear you could still bounce a coin on her stomach!!

Evening all BTW

KnitterInTheNW · 13/07/2009 20:26

I like Caitlin but it's too much like my name to be able to use it. I like Eloise too.

Evening Denny! Fancy another meetup soon?

OP posts:
Denny185 · 13/07/2009 22:09

Sounds good, June kind of came and went didnt it. Schools break up Thurs so I will potentially have all 3 so somewhere with large fences would be good Ill email Sheds and see if she's free.

EllieG · 14/07/2009 09:02

Eloise gets my vote, but then is Molly's middle name so am a bit biased.

Mornin' all - everyone alright?

bunnyrabbit · 14/07/2009 09:10

OOOhh that's spooky.. one of my nick names is Sheds....

If we had a girl she would have been Heather Marianne... and our boys names are scottish.

Peachy, am on tenterhooks about the pointing thing. A bit worried about regression to be honest. Can't remember if DS1 (ASD) pointed or not but he is AS so probably did as he has no developemnt or learning delay. I know the percentages are not in our favour: two boys first one ASD, mummy and daddy both a bit eccentric (both exhibited ASD traits as children and adults) hence I'm a bit nervous.

What time is everyone meeting on 22nd? Am desperately trying to re-arrnage a family arrangement so I can come up and meet everyone.

BR

PeachyTheRiverParrettHarlot · 14/07/2009 10:13

YOu know, one child wioth ASD may wel;l just (I know, 'just' !!) be a one off genetic aberation; pointing early is a very hood sign you know- referessive asd's are relatively rare overall, and neitehr of mine are great pointers even now (DS1 is as / hfa and still has to be talked through a point at 9.5)

It really is a positive

We think bas is probably AS, definitely not asd unless regresses (point, talking etc) but there's a lack of facial expressions, extreme separation anxiety.... but with 80% odds (even the Paed letter makes it very clear its genetic) we're thinking we're lucky if we get away with AS IYSWIM?

bunnyrabbit · 14/07/2009 10:40

LOL Peachy. Yes I know what you mean.

Not really sure about stats just knew that it could happen so thanks for the reassurance. All DS1's issues started to exhibit behaviourally at about 2+, and, as you know, AS is usually diagnosed later anyway so will no doubt be worrying for at least the next 7 years!!

If DS2 is NT he'll be for ever embarrasseed by his eccentric family!

BR

PeachyTheRiverParrettHarlot · 14/07/2009 10:51
  • I think ds2 is embarassed by us, we're all a little odd PMSL

Though ds2 has been picked up with dyspraxia which he is well chuffed about LOL,thinks EPs are a abdge of honour

Scorps · 14/07/2009 11:42

do you think these are real?

It's only saving £20 off RRP, maybe i should just buy them in the local shop? I have been lusting after them for agggggggggges.

Scorps · 14/07/2009 11:51

think these may be more reliable?

EllieG · 14/07/2009 13:21

Funny little knitted shoes! You'd have to be careful if it rained they might shrink

KnitterInTheNW · 14/07/2009 13:57

Scorps, they couldn't even be bothered to spell 'candy' correctly so I'd give them a wide berth! Unless they really are 'cardy pink' coloured?

OP posts:
Scorps · 14/07/2009 14:00

They are Cardy ugg boots, as in cardigan knitted type description?

Think i will just go to the shop, is more exciting AND near M&S

Scorps · 14/07/2009 14:02

Ellie you sound like my Mum

Have you never seen these before? They do pink, purple, green, grey, black and cream.

PeachyTheRiverParrettHarlot · 14/07/2009 14:04

ooh these young ones with their knitted fashions

you could make that for yourself from a air of daps and a ball or two of wool you know

Scorps · 14/07/2009 14:07
Grin
KnitterInTheNW · 14/07/2009 14:28

Oh god, I'm now and feeling also like an old lady.

I have liked the look of them though since that programme where the ghost, the werewolf and the vampire were living together. Can't remember what it was called now but the ghost wore grey ones.

OP posts:
Scorps · 14/07/2009 14:31

lol @ old lady i love uggs, soooo comfy and i live in the ones i already have (black and tan). Thought pink may be summery ish?

Got mw tomorrow, and mimi is having her MMR, a bit late but due to illness. Measles is doing the rounds here () [do not wish to debate] so the sooner the better for us.

bunnyrabbit · 14/07/2009 14:43

Being Human and I loved it! Although I don't remember the Uggs, but then they're not my thang. (Young fashions etc etc..).

Oooh MW how exciting. Wish I could listen in, brings back fond memories. Hope M's MMR goes ok. 15 months isn't too late really....
