My grandma's sister was called Nancy.

I like Emily too but DH and especially his dad pronounce it 'Em-ly'. Bugs me! They say 'mem-ry' for memory too. Pronounce all the letters dagnammit!

I find girls names quite hard. My friend has an Isla. Also know a couple of lillies. I tend to like nicknamey names iyswim. Boys names are easier!! If this baby is a girl I like Lacey. That's it lol. Dh doesn't. I will also be looking for girls names if needed! If it's a boy we shall him Dexter.

Yes have come out in rl and mostly postive just a couple of contraception comments and lots of you're mads.

SuperSoph73 · 23/06/2009 10:31

Morning all. Forgot to bring camera into work so will have to try and remember on Thurs so you can all have a look at "the hair" It's a holiday tomorrow and I doubt I'll get onto the computer at home, so you'll all have to wait.

KnitterInTheNW · 23/06/2009 12:57

We had a massive list of girls names before G's 20 week scan, and only about 3 boys names that we liked. George wasn't even one of them! He's so a George though, can't imagine him being anything alse! If next one is a boy, I'm liking Fred atm. Not planning on needing another name at all for another 18 months or so anyway though so plenty of time for mind changing! Will def be another granny/grandad name though I think.

Soph, you're such a tease, we all want to seeeee!

I can't hear the name Dexter without swooning a little. Dexter Fletcher, yum!

When I was pregnant with Sam there was only one girls name that I actually liked. DH had all sorts of weird and wonderful names that I absolutely hated. Fortunately we didn't end up arguing about it as we both liked Sam for a boy

Knitter - I know, have been trying to find someone at school with a camera or camera phone. Plently of people have them, just none of them have the leads with them so I can download a piccie. Plus the ICT guy has just taken away my hard-drive as it decided to give up completely

KnitterInTheNW · 23/06/2009 13:06

Could they not email it to you from their phone?

OP posts:
SuperSoph73 · 23/06/2009 13:19

Knitter - didn't think of that. Will go and ask.

SuperSoph73 · 23/06/2009 13:26

All the phones have bluetooth not bogstandard e-mail & the computers in the Library don't have bluetooth. Sorry ladies, you're just gonna have to wait till Thurs.

bunnyrabbit · 23/06/2009 14:05

Picture text!!

SuperSoph73 · 23/06/2009 14:42

BR, I have no idea what that means. I did find someone who took the photo and she said she was going to send it but I keep checking the email and nothing so far. I am trying honestly I don't think she wrote the address down properly. Sorry!

bunnyrabbit · 23/06/2009 14:46

LOL you can send pictures as txt messages, although not all people can view them.

SuperSoph73 · 23/06/2009 14:59

BR ... oh, I see I really need to get more uptodate ... ho hum!

SuperSoph73 · 23/06/2009 15:09

Well, sorry ladies. Have got to go and still no sign of the piccie. Please try and control yourselves until Thurs Have fun, see you soon.

madameovary · 24/06/2009 09:53

Nuchal fold and blood measurements came back low risk this week, oh and 20 week scan (and gender finding!!) 7th August. I think boy, DH wants a girl.

Feeling really faint lately, have eaten lots and drunk lots of water, etc, but its not going.

madameovary · 24/06/2009 14:51

The heat wont be helping I imagine! Glad those results look good Scorps

EllieG · 24/06/2009 16:11

Sit down and have a nice cuppa scorps, will help. And if doesn't go away speak to doc, don't want you fading away young lady.

paranoidmummy · 25/06/2009 10:46

Thanks for names, I have written them all down! I quite like the Amelie/Emma/Amy type names but I'm an emily so it could be a bit confusing and look a bit like I am trying to create a clone! I'm hoping the name will hit me when she's born.

BR - yes it was cochlear implant surgery that he had. Touch wood he is recovering amazingly. Still signing lots too but is EXTREMELY loud as he has no hearing at the moment so evidently hinks if he can't hear himself then neither can we! He's going to be in for one hell of a shock at switch on! Getting quite impatient waiting for that, I leave work for mat leave just before on same day as summer hols start and also we are moving house in the same week - yayyyyyyyyy to doing everything at once

Glad the results came back low risk scorpio. Will this one be your last? Do you have any preference over gender? I'm quite nervous about a girl after living in a boy mad house for 6 years but nervous in a nice way Could it be your bp making you feel faint? I get really low blood pressure when preg which has made me pass out before. Sitting down with an ice lolly always helps me! Strange but true. You could try it.

Hope everyone else is well

bunnyrabbit · 26/06/2009 08:37

LOL pm. It's probably because he can 'feel' that he's making a sound, but doesn't know idea about volume control. Sort of sensory input but not aural if that makes sense.

Has anyone suggested Amelia?

Do be honest, if you like the names then go for it. My two are Alexander and Alasdair. People are always confused but they're the only boys names we liked so tough!!

BR

KnitterInTheNW · 26/06/2009 09:15

Agree, if you like the names then go for it... you'll be 'mummy' not Emily most of the time anyway won't you! Amelia v pretty.

Wow to doing everything all at once pm, if you can manage all that you can do anything!

OP posts:
Scorps · 26/06/2009 10:45

I also like Emily/Amelia type names, i do love Emmeline, can nn her Emmy for day to day.

I don't know what on earth to call this baby if its a girl.

Scorps · 26/06/2009 10:46

I like Amy/Aimee. DH doesn't.
