Peachy · 11/06/2009 16:09

Soph- thanks, am staying but have cut down threads I can vie dramatically (though gave in and added AIBU back in )

School winding me up atm, just got back the referral form after begging for ASD help with ds1 for years- states we need parenting advice. twats how unhelpful

SuperSoph73 · 11/06/2009 16:24

Oh poor you, hope you get things sorted though.

Right, got to go as DS1 back from swimming and has to get on the CBeebies website now. Bless his little cottons

See you tomorrow.

Peachy · 11/06/2009 16:27

God no, not poor us- we'll sort it

Hoe ds enjoys c beebies

Scorps · 11/06/2009 19:45

Well i was 15 when i met DH, he was my then 'p's friend. me and p had ds1 (i was 17). Then i left him at 18 and ten days later got with DH baby (ds2) after 10 months. Then got pregnant with Millie 2.5 years after ds2 birth, got married at 23. Now 24 and pg with dc4. I always knew i had to have him

I have an announcement.

I am going to a SPA, yes, a spa tomorrow for the WHOLE weekend.

Peachy i didn't know you have been divorced (the best man won )

Scorps · 11/06/2009 19:47

Oh and i think my Sky HD is broken. Some channels have sound; others don't

Peachy · 11/06/2009 19:49

Not divorced Scorps; moonlight pre wedding flit LOL- actually a few months but all booked , I took tiara and dress to charity shop

'Poor' ex btw was a lazy tosser, and now very happy with someone far more suited to him I beleive.

Scorps · 11/06/2009 19:51

LOL snap here Peachy, mine and exs wedding all paid for for the August, i left him in May

Best thing i ever did. He is a waster and my life would be 1000 times poorer in all ways.

Scorps · 11/06/2009 19:51

I ebayed my dress!

Peachy · 11/06/2009 19:54

Ah would have ebayed if we had it then LOL

lazy isn't riht word in truth- he was, I now know, fairly amrkedly HFA. He wouldn't tal for days at a time, for example, and was massive on sensory things and routines.

Tosser is right though- all through my degree I ahd him telling me I was too think in my head, and the snobbery was incredible (he was from a family that was big on family history, Grandad's OBE, private education etc).

I missed his Mum for a while, but even she warned e not to do it in case he turned out like his dad- after we split she left his Dad also.

Scorps · 11/06/2009 20:04

You sound better off away from them and their silver spoons

Any ideas on my telly??

SalLikesCoffee · 11/06/2009 22:53

Hello everybody! Sorry for being so quiet.

Good to hear all's going well, and love your stories of love and lust.

Peachy, I've got no idea about your other thread, but no no no no, of course you can't go, you're actually part of mumsnet, it'll just be wrong without you!

Scorpio, have a fabulous time at the spa!

We're going to Peru in just over a week (next Saturday), and have a mountain of things to do before then. Can't wait though.

EllieG · 12/06/2009 10:08

Hey all!

peachy, had no idea your past was so checkered

I also had my babe out of wedlock - hence lots of lovely pics of Molly at Mum and Dad's wedding! We were planning on getting married first but I wanted a baby MAHOOOSIVELY and therefore couldn't wait and jumped DH on holiday when I knew I was ovulating - poor man never stood a chance. And tbh, I had been married before and was freshly divorced, so was not quite as excited about marriage as DH anyway, and preferred to spend money on having baby. Has been an eventful few years all in all - within 3 years was out of one relationship, into another, divorced, baby and married again. Am planning on no drama for the next decade!

Hey sal

bunnyrabbit · 12/06/2009 10:43

Blimey. My name is BunnyRabbit and I have led a sad boring life...

All this talk of love and lust and cancelled weddings. How wonderfully romantic. I didn't realise how incredibly mundane my life has been.

Perhaps I could argue with DH or somthing. But I can't give him back. His mum said no sale or return.

I think I need to get a tattoo, or something pierced.....

Scorps have a fabulous time!!

Peachy, whadi miss?? No don't go anywhere. I think you've been on here longer than me!!

Hi[waves to] sal

Soph did you find the certificate?

BR

KnitterInTheNW · 12/06/2009 11:47

Boring here too BR...

Met DH at a party in London that neither of us should have been at. Spent the next 3 years upping and downing between London and Warrington at weekends, then moved up here 6ish months before we got married. George was a couple of months old on our 1st wedding anniversary

But I do have piercings so is that exciting?

MommyHasaHeadache · 12/06/2009 11:56

Hi all. Well chicken pox baby is still chicken pox baby, as well as teething and a cold! Poor thing! Wish she would get better now.

Still looking for work , although tbh, I've had to put the breaks on that while Gigi is ill. Suze, I am a PA, and looking for a 9am - 5pm job near a mainline station (so I can get back home quicker!) If you know of anything going, I would be most grateful! Thanks for your offer of help!

DH and I met via the house share I used to live in when I 1st got here. He was dating the cousin of the guys I was living with, and was friends with another guy in my house who I was friends with. He broke up with the cousin, and started hanging out with us a bit more, and well, one thing lead to another, and here we are nearly 10 years later, married with a baby! Oh and the cousin has always had a chip on her shoulder about this ever since!

SuperSoph73 · 12/06/2009 11:57

Afternoon all.

Floozies the lot of you - I'm only jealous

BR - thankfully yes I did find the certificate after frantically running round like a headless chicken this morning. It wasn't in the folder with all his other stuff so that made it worse for a while. But I did admit to DH that I couldn't find it and he helped me look

Scorps - you lucky thing you ... I could really do with something like that at this stage of the term. Just want to murder the little buggers darlings! We were going to go to the pool tomorrow but it's clouded over, it's drizzling and the temperature has dropped significantly so probably not now

Have you sorted out your telly?

Sal -

SuperSoph73 · 12/06/2009 12:01

MHaH - poor thing, hope she gets better soon.

DH & I met on my brother's 18th birthday (my baby bro will be 30 this year ). DH was my brother's assistant housemaster at the boarding school he went to. I had recently come out of a really bad relationship & had no intention of starting anything new. I'd moved in with Mum and StepDad and DH kept phoning the house to speak to me & StepDad never took messages and I never realised. DH tried for 3 weeks on and off and was just on the verge of giving up (cos he thought I was ignoring his calls) when StepDad remembered I'd had a call .... cue a frantic phone call to my brother to get DH's number

TheShipsCat · 12/06/2009 12:20

Its lovely hearing your stories...

Scorpio - hope you have a fab time at the Spa!
Sal - how exciting!!
Soph - glad you found you form
MHAH - poor little thing..

I've just booked tickets for Latitude

SuperSoph73 · 12/06/2009 12:24

Hi TSC ... as I'm not in the UK can I be really dumb (no change there then) and ask what Latitude is????

KnitterInTheNW · 12/06/2009 12:32

Tis a festival, Soph

OP posts:
SuperSoph73 · 12/06/2009 12:34

Thanks for that Knitter

TheShipsCat · 12/06/2009 12:42

Sorry Soph! I was just a bit excited...we missed it last year and were gutted. I forgot to book tickets in all that I've-just-had-a-baby-and-can't-even-remember-my-own-name stage of life...

SuperSoph73 · 12/06/2009 13:41

TSC

Well the Library is shutting at 2.15pm this afternoon as there is an exam on in here so I can spend a relaxing hour with no children, reading a book The Head has also graciously allowed me to attend DS1's concert next Thursday & go to the water park on Tues 30th. All in all a good day I think .... although there were olives in my vegetable paella .... yuk, pleugh!

bunnyrabbit · 12/06/2009 14:53

Yeach to Olives.

I would love to go to Latitude. We go to Southwold camping all the time and it's only round the corner. Very .

SalLikesCoffee · 12/06/2009 15:09

Ooh, cool TSC!

I join the boring gang on the love front: I've known my dh since I was three! (yep, years old)

Mind you, we weren't matched from birth or anything, and the weekend just before I realised I actually fancied him (when I was 22 years old!), I remember sitting on the beach with him, laughing, saying I really don't think this boyfriend thing is for me... That was after a disastrous break-up with an idiot ex, so I planned on being happily single for years!

Well, 9 years, of which 5 married, later, and we've got the little drooler to prove boyfriend's aren't all useless after all, hehehe.
