Shit you even thinking of sex!!!! Hi Ladies, jacobs now 6 weeks old but health visitor got dates wrong so no 6 week check up for another 2 weeks....I got a 3rd degree tear when J born so sex aint happen for awhile yet (too scared still) x

BabyBolat · 19/05/2009 08:20

Well good morning all - we do seem to be getting back to normal a bit!!

WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!

LOL at pubic dye but now I have bad images of you Nutty ala Samantha from Sex and The City and coco the clown!

LaurenLoob - I have been getting those exact pains for a few weeks and I now have back pains so think it may be a kidney infection so going to try and get a drs appt this week.

Nutty, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE smaller boobs - seriously I am hating having these norks - not only are they too big but I know they are going to head south in a saggy formation as soon as he stops bfing!!!

bumpalumb, I had 45 mins of stitching and 2nd degree internal tear and actually sex didn't really hurt (sorry if way TMI) but once you have got the first entrance out the way iykwim all is fine (Although DH now thinks we are back to normal and wants it EVERYDAY - no no - so far one in 4/5 days is about all I can muster!)

My tummy is swollen! OR fat, I can't decide! It seems to have grown since last week! grrr

Now Kara is 6.5 weeks and IT DOES NOT GET EASIER - In fact he seems to have found his lungs even more since reaching that milestone! little begger!

Is it wrong that I don't intend to get dressed today - although I do need to take some parcels to the post office.... maybe I'll get dressed after lunch!

AuldAlliance · 19/05/2009 08:57

Morning,
Gah, I think it is getting worse...
Alex slept last night from 7:30pm-9pm, fed, slept till 1am, then fed for who knows how long while I dozed, then at 3am I woke up, changed him and it was hell from then till 5am. He just wanted to feed all the time, but I was worried he'd make his tummy hurt, so tried to hold off. We collapsed together in the living room, DH came in at 6, and then w/o my knowing it went off to work.

I awoke at 7:45, with half an hour to feed, wind and change Alex, get DS1 up, organise his breakfast, supervise dressing, brush his teeth & hair, pretend to be clean myself, throw on some clothes, hide the sick marks, and rush to school. We did it and I think it may have killed me for the day.

Which is not allowed as I have to take my laptop to the shop as it's not working, get photos developed to stick in birth announcement cards which DH is stressing about because the birth was 5 wks ago, go to DIY shop (BB, where are you??), buy a mixer tap for the bathroom basin and... remove the old one and replace it with the new. I have no idea how to do it and am worried I'll screw up and bugger the whole basin.

Anyway, better get on with these little jobs, interspersed with BFing and the interminable to and fro between house and school.

Have a nice day, all! will catch up soon...

Morning everyone!

RANT ALERT

PISSED OFF because no water in the house - we called a plumber on Sunday night for a leak, he didn't diagnose it properly, did some fiddling and decided that was probably fine. Last night when I went to have a shower water went pouring into the kitchen and had to be turned off at the mains. Now the plumber is back, blaming us, basically throwing all kinds of random accusations around because he is in trouble with his office for not fixing it properly in the first place. I am FURIOUS that we have had the water off all night with a baby in the house and had to battle to get the plumber back before evening. I am FURIOUS that he did not identify the problem properly in the first place, and FURIOUS that when I asked THREE TIMES on Sunday evening "How do you know what caused it in the first place and that it is fixed?" both DP and plumber IGNORED me totally and brushed the question aside and I was knackered and bfing and STUPIDLY let it go.

I desperately want a shower and I feel really horrible about just using wipes to clean up Poo Lake and afraid V is going to get ill through scummy unsanitary parenting. AND I have not been able to wash Bathmat A for ages because of all the vomitty baby clothes that always take priority in the washing machine so the only clean one for use was Bathmat B, which I put out last night for after my shower and NOW ARSEHOLE PLUMBER HAS USED IT TO LAG THE LEAKING PIPE. Fucking arsehole cunt, somehow this has upset me more than the whole thing - the casual assumption with which arsehole cunt plumber and DP assume that I have nothing better to do than tidy up after their crap. I have already tidied up once after this fiasco with a baby under my arm, now I have to do it AGAIN, including scrubbing the bath where for unknown reasons DP dumped out the contents of the u-bend under the sink (VOMIT).

Auld, I feel your pain. Be very careful with the new tap, This whole thing was caused by DP being a have a go hero about a relatively small thing (hence my irritation about all the cleaning up being down to me).

Nutty, none of this is remotely as serious as your pubic crisis. Be strong.

Right sorry that was so long I don't care if no one reads it. Sorry about the swearing too, apologies if anyone is offended

purplemonkeydishwasher · 19/05/2009 11:02

morning!
just popping on to say hi! and i've voted!
off to boob group this morning. hopefully it'll be a bit better than last week and DS will play quietly (ha HA)

hope all is well with everyone.

Nutty - i feel for you babe. i've been finding them for about a year now. very distressing!
i also have one white eyebrow hair. even weirder.

later gators!
xx

gingersarah · 19/05/2009 11:31

WOOOOOO! About to have a shower! Here's hoping it works better than last night.

B52s · 19/05/2009 12:37

Afternoon lovelies.

Ginger - any news? Feel clean and shiny again?

Sam sleeps most of the day and wakes 2 or 3 times each night. He goes back to sleep okay usually, sometimes needs quite a burping session. Occasionally he'll wail and kick and I need to massage his tummy until I can hear 'digestion noises'. Then he'll screw up his face and have a really long fart or go cross eyed (he really does) and fill his nappy. Don't remember DS1 farting quite so much - or putting as much effort into it either.

Breastfeeding is going okay, but fear norks will resemble walnuts in a sock when I'm finished. With DS1 I fed him till he was 14 months old, planning on doing the same with Sam.

My skin is still really bumpy on my face but isn't actually peeling off yet.

Finding it quite hard to catch up with 2 sprogs (DS1 at CM's today), so am v impressed with those who have more.

B52s · 19/05/2009 13:00

oooh isn't it quiet here.

Just hoovered the entire upstairs. Including the bathroom walls. Think I may be nesting now. And Sam slept through the lot of it!!!

Zach (DS1) likes loading the washing machine, saying 'Daddy's socks' 'Mummy's pants' 'Zach's jamas' as he puts things in. Then I sit Sam in his bouncy chair in front of it, which is peaceful until the thing starts banging and jumping round the kitchen.

Sam is still snoring away (gets it from his dad)...

Schulte · 19/05/2009 14:13

Gaaaaaaaaah Puzzle what's that!!! Freak show? Need a new partner???

B52s hello EDD AND actual birth date AND birth weight buddy! LOL at walnuts in a sock. Same here but I am determined that I'll stop bfing before xmas so I can have a bit of a booze up for a change! Haven't been able to drink since... wait... Christmas 2005.

Ginger feeling better? Grade A rant by the way!

B52s · 19/05/2009 14:18

Hi Schulte - do you reckon Sam and Hazel were made for each other?

I've been having the odd beer - find Sam sleeps better after 1 can - or that could just be me. Not been drunk since, ummm, July last year. Doesn't really hold a candle to Christmas 2005. Blimey. After about a year I was only bf-ing in the night if he woke up - good way to shut them up I find.

Schulte · 19/05/2009 14:21

It's true boob is better than dummy for keeping a baby quiet

It's a match made in Heaven! Obviously!

Schulte · 19/05/2009 14:23

Sorry meant haven't been able to drink at Christmas since 2005. I did have a fun night out with the other mums last spring before I got pregnant again. I think we scared the cabbie Four grown-up women behaving like teenage girls!
