BabyBolat · 03/06/2009 15:47

Oh lulu once a month is the minimum recommendation apparently! Although my dr is quite strict I think!

Bleuravin · 03/06/2009 15:51

mmm clusters... a diet is whatever you choose to eat...

Bleuravin · 03/06/2009 15:57

dh is working in Bristol, not a ton of pay, but for some people who really need his expertise and know it so are at least treating him nice.

still haven't cracked no pain feedings, but, its not as horrible anymore, and we manage. By the time the breasts are achey and nearly unbarealbe I get to go to bed for 5 or 6 hours... and Meg's jumped from the 25th-50th percentile into the 75th-90th in the weight category so things are good with that.

PuzzleRocks · 03/06/2009 16:16

Aarrrrrgh. I need to borrow a Boffin boy so I can have a bath in peace rather than installments.

Nutty - I hope you doctor has some sway. Shame about the bloody infection.

Surprise - Mine looked like that and then all of a sudden the last bit seemed to knit together.
I hope you get some sleep tonight.

MrsG - Hooray for Edmunds weight gain.

Bleu - Great to hear from you. Congrats on DH getting a job. And still breastfeeding, i'm delighted for you.

Dieting, what the hell is that?

Bleuravin · 03/06/2009 16:22

We're really too disorganised in this household to bottle feed... I can hardly keep up with my own dishes, washing and sterlising bottles would push me over the edge...

Off for a shower. Will you girls watch Meg for me? ...I'll sit her in front the the screen here... holler if she falls over.

Juwesm · 03/06/2009 17:53

Stomp, stomp, stomp!

Sob, wail, waaaaaaah

NO weight gained at all this week.

What am I going to dooooooo???

BoffinMum · 03/06/2009 18:01

Juwes, stop weighing. Simple. That's da Boff's approach. Eldest has only ever been weighed at clinics twice - once when she was born and once at our single baby clinic visit. We stopped going and GASP she still grew to a strapping 5'11''. Would you ever believe that???

Boffin boys are available at reasonable rates. All you need to give them is a coca cola and they will do anything for you.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 03/06/2009 18:02

hi everyone,

just popping in for a quick 'hello!' as my parents arrived on sunday and we've been out and about a lot. it's been quite nice having them here other than the fact that they have been on the webcam with my bitch sister TWICE already. WTF is up with that???
oh ane when were out on monday and i popped the ol' boob out to feed isla and my mom goes: you didn't need that hooter hider at all did you?" ummmmm nope!

Juwe - i;m so sorry you are having probs with Hugo;s wieght. haven't been on in ages so not sure of the whole story but sending you lots of {{hugs}}

Boff - LOVED what you said about being a primate. that is totally TRUE!!

BB - forgot to say last week taht the day i went to the city i spent the whole day half looking for your black dress!!

OH! and went to the garden show on saturday. it was brill! Isla was a star in the sling even though it was boiling out!

right must be off. hope everyone is well. I miss you all!!

xx

Juwesm · 03/06/2009 18:32

Boff - that is my inclincation. I only went this week as I was pretty confident that he must have reached his birth weight by now, and seeing it on the scales would have made me feel much better. Now I really don't want to go back. But, what if there really is something wrong, and I fail to act because I've not realised how much weight he's lot/ failed to gain?? I'm sure that were there anything wrong he would seem unwell in some way. My overall feeling is that if no-one knew about his weight, other than seeming like a bit of a skinny beanpole, he would be judged to be a healthy baby. But because we have the stupid numbers, we're being labelled somehow.

Anyway. His 8 week check is next Weds, so will speak to GP about it then. If he thinks there is a problem, but has no advice other than 'give formula', will ask for referral to a paed.

On the plus side, he is still sleeping really well.

Hi Purple! at lack of Hidden Hooters!

Good to see you Bleu. Hooray for improved nips

MrsG - don't think I responded - I have a Calin Bleu gauze. The main problem I have with it at the moment is that I can't be doing with getting him in and out every time he wants a feed, as I generally have to half un-tie and then re-tie. I've tried a couple of feeding holds, but his long skinny legs get in the way! I am very very tempted to buy another different wrap, just to try (and also because some of them are gorgeous), but can't afford it (especially as I am slowly giving into my Onbag temptation). The nearest sling library I can find is a bit of a way away, and I would have to get the train. I'm not ready for taking the buggy on the train yet!

I would like some cake please.

I forgot to take changing bag out with us today
What with that, and the blubbing, I bet the HV thinks I am mental. Had to borrow a nappy from a friend, as he did a big poo just before we were due to go in!

On the nappy note, I'd just like to say that I still really love the New Baby Pampers and their poo absorbency. The one I borrowed was an eco-disposable one, and when he did a large runny poo it just leaked right up his back. Unimpressed.

Are we finishing this one off though?

Saw a Hooter Hider yesterday, at the surgery! The lady who owned it used it as a kind of curtain for her pushchair so the baby was in the dark. Not sure if she uses it for its intended purpose too Hideous design it was, too.

Bleu hellooooo! Glad bfing is getting a bit better if still difficult. At least you get some decent sleep.

Juw sorry to hear about Hugo - hope GP can help. xxx

Well, I can't believe it but both girls are sound asleep in their beds... better catch some sleep myself now! Nighty night.

Juwesm · 03/06/2009 20:38

Schulte - congrats on sleep!
