bronze · 24/05/2009 10:32

and now ds1s being a gobby little and rather than make him realise as he doesnt whatever I say I end up in tears of fedupness

tristalewjac · 24/05/2009 10:40

bloody hell what a morning (((hugs)))
I have same problem with DS1 he's being a wee sh*t lately. Same as auld and a few others, it's like he's reverted back to toddler days.
I can't imagine what it's like with more than one older one playing up though. I admire your strength xxx

tristalewjac · 24/05/2009 10:44

Is there anyone who could take the kids for a bit so you can get out on your own for some breathing space?

bronze · 24/05/2009 10:45

theres about 2 pints of milk on the kitchen floor now too as they didn't listen and tried doing themselves. They couldn't wait 5 minutes til Isaac stopped feeding. So now I don't have enough milk and noway of getting any which means dd will be a nightmare. I'm hoping the do will help me on the cleaning up the floor matter.
I think its all catching up on me. I knew it was going to well and I shouldn't be congratulating myself on coping so well.

bronze · 24/05/2009 10:47

Nah, I'll just send them out into the garden and ignore them for a bit. I liek to think I do free range parenting, I'm sure its properly termed negligence

bronze · 24/05/2009 10:49

oh and to top it off I'm wearing size 16!!!!! trousers.

I was an 8/10 before I started having children. I dont think I look like a 16 but I think I must be in denial. Is that serious being in denial about your weight?

bronze · 24/05/2009 10:50

oh and thanks BB

forgot to say it before having my own personal page on this thread

tristalewjac · 24/05/2009 10:52

yes you bloody well should be congratulating yourself, you're doing really well and it has been going great!!!
Just because it's all crazy today doesn't mean you've been shite up until now. Little steps! The most important thing before you deal with the kids and the mess is to take a minute to regain your strength. Remember you're a great mum, you're in control, you're the boss, and you'll get past today.

tristalewjac · 24/05/2009 10:54

I'm the same with trousers. I was 10/12 before now I'm 16. It's the width of my hips that's changed. I still have a small waist ( I'm 12 for tops, because of huge milk machine norks)
I think I look ok but maybe I'm in denial!

bronze · 24/05/2009 10:58

oh you're exactly the same as me then

I was only congratulating myself the other day how good my stomach is. A bit loose (skin from 4 babies) and very crepey but clothed it looks pretty flat. I guess its just depressing that apart from two pairs of jeans and these 16 cutoffsnothing fits and I cant afford more. Will need to double check my skirts as need stuff for the heat in 3 weeks.

bronze · 24/05/2009 12:17

Feeling better now thanks to you Trista, Isaac letting me put him down, tidying my room (only kitchen to go), the children being outside, the sun shining and my tescos delivery arriving.

SpringySponge · 24/05/2009 12:54

bronze, your DH was totally out of order! I can't believe he dumped everything on you like that & then hung up on you when you pointed it out! I hope you're okay xx

Sorry you're suffering, trista - I don't have any insight, I'm afraid I hope you can get seen before Tuesday, though!

Hello DungunGirl! Congratulations on Aden Lee.

Hmm, full updates. Not a lot to report really. Had a lovely time in Brum with my family being really helpful (& totally smitten with George, obviously!) & managed to spend an afternoon with my ex best friend on Tuesday, as she wanted to meet George. We had a massive falling out over 2 years ago & hadn't spoken since, but she got in touch because she'd seen on Facebook that I'd got married (didn't know about the pregnancy!) & decided that some things weren't worth missing out on. It was lovely - I really missed her. I doubt we'll ever be super close again, but it was nice to be able to chat to her & still know each other so well after all this time.

DH & I went out for a meal together without George on Wednesday (yay for my parents) & had a really long chat about a lot of things. I think we made a lot of progress. He has also admimtted that he has snooped on our threads before, despite many promises that he hadn't. Still, at least he's owned up now.

I realised the other day that I'm not struggling with George anywhere near as much as I was - he is getting easier. I actually manage to get a bit of time to myself & can get around to leaving the flat before the shops are all shut. & we can put him down every so often & he's learning to entertain himself for a few minutes. I'm still avoiding dairy, because it does seem to make things a lot harder when I don't, but it's a fair trade off, I think.

Yesterday we spent the whole day sorting out the flat. The nursery has been used as a storage room since we moved in, but we're getting closer to it being an actual room now. It's still not clear of stuff yet & there is furniture to be built, but hopefully we'll be able to move all of the changing stuff out of the living room soon, for example. & it's nice to be able to throw away several bin bags of rubbish. It's kind of liberating - & so good that I can do it because I'm not pregnant!

Nutty - yay for sex! Especially good sex! & I'm glad that you had a nice time at the zoo - you needed that. Which you needed more, I'm not sure

Thanks for the lemon cake, WFH. You may have inspired me to bake this afternoon (I told you I'm managing better with this whole baby thing! I'm considering baking!)

The awards! Ooh! Most prolific poster runner up? Seriously? I'm not even close! Argh! I'm scrolling down & my name keeps coming up! & I was reading them out to DH when I got to the worse MIL award To be fair though, I definitely can't claim that - just look at Nutty's! But I am very touched that my name came up so much - I feel very special

Cute soundtrack, too - I think I'll be making myself a playlist!

Thanks for doing the awards, BB - lovely

bronze Glad you're feeling a bit better. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you with so many small ones. As for clothes sizes, my hips are at least 2 sizes bigger than they were, even though I look fine.

PuzzleRocks · 24/05/2009 16:02

Poxy MN, just lost a massive post.

Trista - How are you coping. I just saw your post. Are the painkillers helping?

Dungun - Congrats. Is DS1 enjoying his new brother?

bronze I'm glad you're feeling better. Well done for lifting yourself up from a shitty morning and staying on top of things. Hope you've had a better afternoon.

puzzle I'm feeling ok thanks. I'm still in a load of pain but the painkillers are keeping it at a bearable level til I see HV on tuesday. So far I'm ok to wait. It is f*cking sore though.

springy it's great that you and DH managed to have some quality time, and that you managed to talk a load of things through. Shame he lied originally about snooping but great that he's finally managed to open up to you about it. Hopefully you two can get things back on track again now.
Great that things are getting easier with George too. Enjoy the tiny baby stage while it lasts, I really miss it when they're out of it, but still love the stages to come.

Lewin started smiling yesterday. Just a couple every now and then, like he's trying it on for size. It's such a cute wee smile though. He looks beautiful.

ExDP just left. He was here to see Lewin for the day. It was fine, we got on great and I wasn't sad when he left.
I still get the urge to jump him and shag his brains out, but thankfully it's diminishing. So is the urge to beg him to come back to us. I'm quite chuffed at myself for that.
Still really needing a shag though, unfortunately. But I'd rather be sexually frustrated than shag my ex, that would be too silly, and I'm certainly not in any way looking for sex elsewhere. Yuk.
So I'll just have to be frustrated.
All you ladies who are able to, go forth and get some!!

Northernlurker · 24/05/2009 16:19

Yay I won an award

PuzzleRocks · 24/05/2009 16:29

Nutty - Good work girl. My fridge is stocked with expresed milk and champagne. Tonight I am going for it!

WFH - Am I too late? I will eat anything moomin shaped. Fantastic.

BB - Thanks so much for doing the awards. DH is terribly proud of me for the smutty runner up accolade. I'm delighted with my stats win. Stiff competition there eh?
And i'm actually humbled by the nomination for thread adviser. It's honestly very nice to know I don't just talk crap all the time.

Bronze - Hit the gin, I say! Seriously, you are incredible to cope the way you do. I cannot imagine having another one, let alone two to contend with. And a flat stomach! WTF!!!!! I doff my cap to you.

It should really be 11. Best thread crasher:
WINNER: Norhternlurker (like there could be another!)
RUNNER UP: Marthasmama

Schulte · 24/05/2009 17:56

Hey hey

Thanks for the award although I'd rather not have won in this particular category!

Far too hot today. H has been very thirsty and I feel like I've done nothing all day but feed her. DD1 has been a darling though playing for hours in the garden watering the flowers, herself and everything else, picking all the blossoms of my marguerite and breaking a deck chair.

Bronze, I feel for you, I've got one toddler who never listens, can't imagine what it's like with 3!
