Ooh yeah. With egg.

AuldAlliance · 19/05/2009 19:40

I had forgotten how knackering this baby malarky is...

bronze · 19/05/2009 19:45

when Matthew is 18 I will be 40
When Isaac is 18 I will be 46

It feels old but when my sils eldest is 18 she will be 50 so its not really so bad

mathshoneybunny27 · 19/05/2009 19:51

Schulte · 19/05/2009 21:08

Ahem, girl, can you all stop talking about how young you are... H will only be 15 when I celebrate my 50th... But I DID enjoy my childless twenties and early thirties

Schulte · 19/05/2009 21:09

girls not girl obviously

Schulte · 19/05/2009 21:09

Is Amelia okay Maths?

tristalewjac · 19/05/2009 22:40

Hi ladies
I had common drunken sex last July on my birthday and it resulted in a gorgeous little man flying out of my fanjo in April
So..... can I join your group?
I've brought food

tristalewjac · 19/05/2009 22:42

Loved the fantastic ending to last thread juw, it was funny and lovely. Liked your thread-filling rambling too.

mrsgboring · 19/05/2009 22:49

Marking my place - DS1 is at nursery tomorrow, so I hope to have time to respond to BabyBolat's request that I introduce myself. DS1 and DH were both home today, so I got no time to myself (bless him, DH is very helpful in a very full on, non-restful way....)

tristalewjac · 19/05/2009 23:02

It's very quiet in here, so I'll talk about me for a minute.

I'm feeling loads better now. I've accepted DP has left and I am quite happy with it. I do better on my own, I enjoy being a mummy more, for some reason. It's ok if I don't look presentable, and it's ok if I spend £34 on a Moby wrap etc etc.
I don't have to rush through the bedtime story to get back to DP. I can take as long as I like. If DS1 has a sore ear I can say, "right come and snuggle with mummy in the big bed" and not worry about DP not giving us any room.
I like being completely independant. It suits me as I'm a total control freak.

Lewin's doing really well, feeding well too. He's gorgeous and I love him to pieces.

BFing is going great. My nipples have totally healed although HV reckons I have deep rooted thrush, so might have to get something for that, it's bloody sore.

DS1 is still not well, poor wee thing. Last Sunday he had croup, and he's not been right since. He has a nasty cough, had a high temp all night on Wed, then last night was up loads during the night with a sore ear. Poor thing it's awful seeing little ones in pain.
Anyway took him to doc today, his ear is red and tonsils were swollen too so he's got the good old banana medicine. I remember it when I was a kid, it's the same!
Hopefully he'll be better real soon.

Hey wait a minute, almost forgot I have news!!!

I have a house!!!!

The one I looked at a few weeks ago, the 3 bed flat. We move in on 1st June.
Woooooohoooooooo!!!!!!

You're all invited to the housewarming!!!

Ok think that's all my news

tristalewjac · 19/05/2009 23:04

Hmmm sorry that was such a 'me' post

tristalewjac · 19/05/2009 23:06

Anyway I've caught up now so I'm off to bed and will hopefully manage back tomorrow to talk with you all properly again at last.
Night guys xxx

BabyBolat · 19/05/2009 23:20

oooh Trista that is great news (not about DS1) but the house and the fabulous independent mummy! yay for you! Yay for 1st June (but boo too as that's K's immunisation day

frekkles · 20/05/2009 08:54

hey there! fekkles reporting in! doing ok i think! harris seems like he's still assessing who and what i am, and has had his challenging moments, due to wind and sore bottom (bad mummy not changing cloth nappies enough!) , But he has gained 5 oz on his birth weight and continues to obsess and melt his mum and dad.

i'm ok too, feeling pretty fit! can't believe i feel so normal again. now i've ditched the evil iron tablets, had sex too and was so happy that all is well down below and hurrah!

can't quite connect it all emotionally still tho. still feel a bit disconnected and as though it's all a dream. don't quite feel like harris is my son. very odd. hope it's normal

love to you all x

gingersarah · 20/05/2009 09:07

Trista - congratulations on your new home - but more importantly, your new happiness. Well done, you are a great example and a wonderful mother. Don't apologise - thanks for the great post!

where is Boff? Did she say she was going somewhere? Hope she is ok.

Little V slept in her big cot last night (a bit). She looks so tiny in it.

Good luck for today BB. I don't know how I would cope without V for that long, and every day when DP comes back from work he makes a very intent bee line straight for her. Last night we were out when he came home, when we got back he was tearing her out of the car seat before I had the handbrake on the top ratchet!

I hate the evenings. I hit a real dark place between 6 and 10. I think I need to find some kind of pick me up for those hours. Yesterday I was up and about all day and the evening squalling hit me like a train - bizarrely dealing with 4 am fussiness did not seem so bad. DP is great in the evenings but I am really conscious I just want to hand him the baby and go upstairs and put my head under the pillow, and this is not on when he has been at work all day.

Anyway - good weather forecast for 3 days so time to hit the mountain of tiny vomitty garments and sheets. Have a good day all fanjo warriors!

LoobyLaBoobs · 20/05/2009 09:29

morning anyone thats about went doctors yesterday and do have a bad kidney infection. got rip roaring temperature with it too, fluish symptoms, freezing cold then sweating when painkillers kick in. spent all day in bed yesterday mum and nan came round to help, i just couldnt move dr put me on amoxycillin, BB i really think you should go docs soon and get antibiotics before you feel as crap as me!!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 20/05/2009 09:29

morning everyone! just checking in! poor wee Clement has a cold! Didn't think a 5 week old exclusively bf baby would catch it it off me! I think I've got a bit of a sinus infection now and Benjamin (2yo) has it too - so far husband and 3yo daughter are fine. But me & two little boys are both a bit poorly - while on holiday! In addition to Clement's heat rash. Oh well, hope we're all better soon. At least it's nothing too serious!

hope everyone has a lovely day! xx

BabyBolat · 20/05/2009 09:42

Morning all

Frekkles - completely normal

BabyBolat · 20/05/2009 09:43

Oh Rachel - K had a cold a couple of weeks ago and he is exclusively bfd and It took AGES to go - still has sniffles now!

gingersarah · 20/05/2009 09:50

Looby - sorry to hear about the infection - get well soon.

Frekkles - yes, this is a strangely unreal time. The oddest thing is when V cries for no reason and stops when she is curled up on my chest / tummy - she squirms and arches her back in pleasure and it feels like when she was inside, all curled up on my front like that - and then I am like OMG WTF I HAD A BABY

BB - are you exclusively on cloth nappies? V. impressive. My sister gave me some but they need wraps and I haven't done anything about it. Just keeping on filling the landfill. I don't know if I can face it with all the vomit as well... also I couldn't focus when my sister was telling me how they work and what I need to get so I have no idea how to use them.
