Sibh · 26/04/2009 22:00

Thank God for that.

I forgot to say respeck to No1 for the rapid return thing, and to Cyteen for getting mentioned in the roundup.

And Buckets, that halo was fun to wear but I'm handing it back to the one that brung it if that's ok.

dizzydixies · 26/04/2009 22:02

Sibh how is your health now? I'm hoping no more problems

Steaknife · 26/04/2009 22:02

Just popping in to say "night all"

Marriage counsellor tomorrow AM - wish me and my dodgy French luck. (And I don't mean Mansteak when I say that)

Then round 2 with Dr in the afternoon, am going armed with lots of information from you imaginary t'interweb folk.

Best wishes from here too Steaky. The language thing must make it tricky, but the chance to talk is a good thing.

I'm off to bed here too.
Goodnight all.

lwfh · 26/04/2009 23:48

Hello,

Thoughts for all.

DS asleep (7.45pm here).

I need to sort out the kitchen, make tea, sort out some washing, do some marking.

But I did have a nap this afternoon.

2 wake ups last night. Morning at 6am.

DS and DH got up to buy cake for breakfast and watch the pope on TV.

We get EWTN, which is an Italian religious catholic cable TV channel. It's fab. Apart from the pope early in the morning, at lunchtime it was a young religious brother in a habit interacting with a mouse, frog and rabbit puppet.

Am completely shattered.

Must go and do something useful.

Thoughts for all.

NOTICE
1 DH
FOR SALE

If SAHM were considered a J.O.B. I would have working for THREE 24-hour shifts BACK TO BACK.

DH, home from his GOLF TRIP, claims he's TIRED and failed MISERABLY at attempts to care for the DCs while I fixed dinner. [Side Note: He had take-out.] I have just sat down WITH ME DINNER here beside me after cooking with both DCs under foot, fed Reese and put her to bed during the process. DH is still stationary on the sofa in front of the TV. I've been tempted to hand him back his travel bag and tell him there are NO VACANCIES HERE!!

TwilightSurfer · 27/04/2009 01:52

OH WAIT!
NEWS FLASH
He's off the couch and in the shower!

WTF!!

I would just like to say that at least dinner was pleasing. It is part of my left over GENIUS idea. I made chicken torilla soup today which had LOADS of shedded chicken. I've taken a bit of the chicken and mixed it with rice for dinner (took forever to cook the rice this evening). Tomorrow I'm making chicken enchiladas with cilatro rice (i think...the rice is a new trial/error piece). Makes me feel quite kitcheny.

Forgive me I've not read the thread yet. But I will. I promise.

I interviewed a babysitter last Monday then had her "sit" with the girls on Thursday for two hours while I cleaned the windows outside. I wanted to see the interaction. TOTAL SCORE! She is AWESOME!! Tonight I'm going to go through my schedule to see how I can get her in here at least once a week.

Today I interviewed another babysitter. She's a college student who finished up this week and won't be back until August. She's a good find too. I've got her fall schedule and will be prepping for her return then.

I've also had my financial planner hat on this week. Mortgage rates dropped to an all time low ssssooooooo I popped into the bank and started the process to get our home mortgage refinanced. I go back in tomorrow (Monday) morning to discuss options. I'm planning on going from our current 30 year mortgage at 7% to a 15 year mortgage at maybe 4.62%. I will save $110,000US over the life of the loan. UNREAL!!!!! Thank Goodness for a DIP in the ecomomy (and for good personal financial footing).

Friday I had my yearly women's well check. The nurse practicioner said I had a "shy cervix". I politely responded that next year I would have a few beers beforehand. She also sent me for hormone testing where they took have my blood. GOODNIGHT it HURT!! I'll know what progestrone mixture they plan to offer me in a week or so. Seems I'm the perfect candidate for bio-identical personalized mixtures that I only have to use/take a few days a month. NICE!

Friday was also DD1's second psych interview. The doc is an old classmate. She interviewed all of us together then gave us a few forms to answer and return for the last interview (dd1 & doc alone) on Wednesday. The doc said she clearly wasn't autistic but showed obvious signs of anxiety which more than likely was passed down from HER MOTHER. oh well at least we can start teaching her coping skills now...something I didn't get until much much later in life.

I think that about covers it for me.

I'll try to read through both threads this evening. I'm worried about Steaky and I want to know if OOps has checked in from NY. Did Expectant make it to the UK without problems? Are babies sleeping? Are babies well? Who's gone back to work?

Oh that reminds me Reese is now pulling up and standing every chance she gets. The kid will be walking in 4 weeks.

Wish me luck reading..........

TwilightSurfer · 27/04/2009 02:28

HOLY NAPPIES! Dizzy. Reese did a similar poo for me on Friday during dd1's doctor's visit. I just left her in her carseat and ignored the problem. DH however attempted to fix the problem before I got out the car after the visit. It was YUK.

Buckets you're not helping my mood. You have a husband that shags freely.

Sazzles parts for vehicles are all I give now. It's gotten so bad that the "gift" arrives on the doorstep and it's me who gets to open it all wide-eyed...since I'm the one he hasn't a clue what it is. PLEASE tell MrSazzles Happy Birthday from MrTwilight (whom I am not speaking to at the moment).

Expectant glad all went well for you.

VG you are a heavenly sister.

Cyteen {{{hugs}}}

ALBS pox??

More to do so off for now. Wishing all a good rest this evening.
