OH WAIT!
NEWS FLASH
He's off the couch and in the shower!
WTF!!
I would just like to say that at least dinner was pleasing. It is part of my left over GENIUS idea. I made chicken torilla soup today which had LOADS of shedded chicken. I've taken a bit of the chicken and mixed it with rice for dinner (took forever to cook the rice this evening). Tomorrow I'm making chicken enchiladas with cilatro rice (i think...the rice is a new trial/error piece). Makes me feel quite kitcheny.
Forgive me I've not read the thread yet. But I will. I promise.
I interviewed a babysitter last Monday then had her "sit" with the girls on Thursday for two hours while I cleaned the windows outside. I wanted to see the interaction. TOTAL SCORE! She is AWESOME!! Tonight I'm going to go through my schedule to see how I can get her in here at least once a week.
Today I interviewed another babysitter. She's a college student who finished up this week and won't be back until August. She's a good find too. I've got her fall schedule and will be prepping for her return then.
I've also had my financial planner hat on this week. Mortgage rates dropped to an all time low ssssooooooo I popped into the bank and started the process to get our home mortgage refinanced. I go back in tomorrow (Monday) morning to discuss options. I'm planning on going from our current 30 year mortgage at 7% to a 15 year mortgage at maybe 4.62%. I will save $110,000US over the life of the loan. UNREAL!!!!! Thank Goodness for a DIP in the ecomomy (and for good personal financial footing).
Friday I had my yearly women's well check. The nurse practicioner said I had a "shy cervix". I politely responded that next year I would have a few beers beforehand. She also sent me for hormone testing where they took have my blood. GOODNIGHT it HURT!! I'll know what progestrone mixture they plan to offer me in a week or so. Seems I'm the perfect candidate for bio-identical personalized mixtures that I only have to use/take a few days a month. NICE!
Friday was also DD1's second psych interview. The doc is an old classmate. She interviewed all of us together then gave us a few forms to answer and return for the last interview (dd1 & doc alone) on Wednesday. The doc said she clearly wasn't autistic but showed obvious signs of anxiety which more than likely was passed down from HER MOTHER. oh well at least we can start teaching her coping skills now...something I didn't get until much much later in life.
I think that about covers it for me.
I'll try to read through both threads this evening. I'm worried about Steaky and I want to know if OOps has checked in from NY. Did Expectant make it to the UK without problems? Are babies sleeping? Are babies well? Who's gone back to work?
Oh that reminds me Reese is now pulling up and standing every chance she gets. The kid will be walking in 4 weeks.
Wish me luck reading..........
