I may be able to make Bristol in the last week of May too steaky. We'll be closer to London by then, but DD1's godmother is in Bristol and had a baby last week so due a visit. Therefore could combine?

Steaknife · 02/05/2009 22:27

Right so I've driven you all away. So that will be me sitting in the cafe at the Arnolfini drinking coffee and trying to stop Izzy from being used in a site-specific art project.

I'm ALONE!
I'm ALONE!
I am ALL ALONE IN MY HOUSE!!!

DH loaded Reese up in the jogger and dd1 is on her big wheel and they are making their way around the neighborhood.

SO I AM ALONE IN MY HOUSE!!!!!!

CHOCOLATE? Found this site while checking on things for Oops. They deliver OVERSEAS without the hoopla.

TwilightSurfer · 02/05/2009 23:46

alone and an hour late to the MN party.

TwilightSurfer · 02/05/2009 23:46

night.
off to watch beach travel shows.....

hotterpotter · 02/05/2009 23:55

for your southern meetup

No1 we will have to do a Yorkshire one. Or would Cyteen and CC be up for one, Sheffield? Birmingham??

Have been meaning to say for ages Steaky that we have both lived in Wakey and also Bristol (I was there 1987-1991) so I am looking forward to further copying and going to live in France for a while

Am drunk and off to bed, hope to be back soon for proper chat but before I go my fave boy names are:

Toby but can't have because of DD (Tabby)
Jack but can't have because every bugger else has it
Milo but DH refused because of Tweenies

Fave girl names are:

Felix (short for Felicity, have liked this since I was a girl)
Celeste
Serena
There were loads more but my mind has gone blank. DS would have been Sadie had he been a girl, think I'm glad he isn't after all.

Night-night

hotterpotter · 03/05/2009 00:00

Also meant to say No1 do you like Weezer? We love them in our house

Really must be off now, x-posted with you TS, hope you are enjoying the peace and quiet of a DC-free house

TwilightSurfer · 03/05/2009 01:59

HP I completely missed you.

I am about to go to bed with my head still hurting. I'm sure it's air pressure related since nothing seems to be removing it. So move on foul weather so I can be without pain.

TS I hope you got some sleep and your headache is gone

My head is aching today but unfortunately it is a self-inflicted hangover as the wine I was drinking was so nice I got nearer to the bottom of the bottle than my shandy tolerance will allow. And of course, after two nights of DS sleeping through till 6.30 or 7 () normal service was resumed and he was awake at 5 this morning. Bleurgh. Better get a cuppa, anyone want one?

oopsacoconut · 03/05/2009 08:26

Morning All

morning HP, tea and big greasy fry up?

DD decided today was the day to get over her jetlag - only 1 wakeup in the night but normal service of 7am wake up was resumed. I was hoping for a lie in as per the last few days. But tis better than being awake for hours in the night.

Looks like a good day here so I think we will be off for a picnic in the park.

Miamla · 03/05/2009 08:33

lol hotpot, i'm feeling a bit delicate too! At least with my DS i know he's not going to sleep so when he does its a nice surprise as opposed to the other way round!

I woke DS this morning at 7.30!!!! DP pottered round with him while I had a luxuriously long shower! And when I came downstairs there was a cup of tea waiting for me

DP out again today so i'm wondering what to do today....

hotterpotter · 03/05/2009 08:57

No thanks to the grease Oops, sausages cooking in the oven to be accompanied with boiled eggs [semi virtuous]. Your picnic idea sounds good; won't be too long until you can have a picnic on your new lawn

Miamla glad it's not just me . Yay for your 'lie in' till 7.30 though, and a cup of tea . Still in jamas here, DH's turn for a lie-in today so no chance for a wash yet. We are off to MILs for the afternoon, it's her birthday. I do love her but she is soooo boring!

cyteen · 03/05/2009 09:00

Hey all, back from wedding and had a brilliant time. Joe coped amazingly well despite obviously finding it a bit overwhelming. Ceremony was lovely and most amusing - the whole congregation sang "Is This Love?" while the register was being signed, and just after the groom had made his declaration to wed the bride, into the solemn silence dropped a clearly audible "uh oh" from one of the small guests Was hilarious.

Will try and catch up later, just marking my place for now as we're starting the tedious process of house move [yawn] and so I am supposed to be being useful Hope all well in Aug 08 Mumworld.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 03/05/2009 09:03

Morning bit delicate here but not too bad.
So I decided to go to bed then get dh to wake me for boxing.
Dh has been very attentive this past week and wouldnt let me go to bed.
So finally in bad at 2am then I was up at 4 to watch the fight.
I was up with ds 4 times in this time. Watched fight huge letdown then went to bed at 5am.

hoter I am up for a meetup whenever cyteen and cc are not too far iirc.
I love weezer dont you find though that they have to be played really loud???

miaml how nice to have a cuppa waiting for you, my dh is in bed after saying I could have a lie in

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 03/05/2009 09:09

xpost cyteen glad you had a good time and ds coped well. Sounds like a funky ceremony

oops enjoy your picnic its lovely here too. Think my dsis wants me togo look at huge tents with her today, as she wants me and kids to camping with her this year to wales maybe.
tmi alert feel free to skip

Me and dh had the baby conversation last night, he said he really really didnt want anymore. and I would never be able to talk him round He also said this is why he has been scared to come near me so pertelote you were right......
Then after several beers, bottle of wine later he keeps me up all night
lets hope I am not in my fertile week then eh

CaptainCaveman · 03/05/2009 09:29

Oh No1 I have had the same conversation with my dh. In fact after he agreed to no2 he made me promise I wouldn't pester him for anymore! I would love to have a 3rd but this doesn't look likely. Still, you never know.
You are right, myself and cyteen are residing in the glamour that is the East Midlands . I'm definately up for a meet up - Fridays are good for me but I can always book a holiday from work to make it another day. Shall we take a trip to America to surprise ts?

cyteen when/where are you moving? We move in 5 days and are surrounded by boxes atm. Good luck with yours!

Have refused to feed O for past 4 nights. He wakes at 4am and has been up for anything up to 1.5 hours crying/fussing. I'm hoping that soon he will get the message and not bother waking up!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 03/05/2009 09:33

cc fridays good for me too, in fact any day
Good luck in talking him round
Tis a challenge.
Not long for move now then, are you all sorted??
I am getting fed up of these random night wakings, ds just seems to be suckling for comfort Im sure.

TwilightSurfer · 03/05/2009 14:33

Morning.

Will be counting days now. No1 will need to test in 10 or 12, right?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 03/05/2009 19:17

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.
Both dcs been in bed an hour. Ds now has a rash/spots, but only on his front and back atm, he has had hardly any milk in last 3 days. He is refusing a bottle again.prob only had 3 bf.
Appetite a little better for solids today so must be feeling a bit better.
lol ts
