Sazzles you aren't the people with the camel in the back garden that you pass on the motorway up to Brissle are you?

Or is it the one with the big wicker woman in the back field?

Ooo ooo I just remembered my mum lets me go on her car insurance, I might be mobile [completely overexcited emoticon]

LWFH I'd let the lil fella sleep too, hope he feels better soon.

So any orders from French France?

DD now awake, it's wrong if I pick her up, put her down, rock her, sit still, speak to her, leave her with DH, take her from DH etc...... It could be a loooong night!

Ooh ooh I'm up for a meet somewhere between Bristol and Malvern! Shall we see if we can entice PF too?

LoveBuckets · 29/04/2009 22:50

Does anyone know if you can make sushi with risotto rice? Same thing innit? Bought everything else needed but had a tightarse moment and gambled on the arborio I already have. Tea is going to be fun tomorrow (or a total PITA).

I saw State of Play at the cinema today, not my usual cuppa (cannot abide Ben Affleck) but it was v good. Except it was really obvious who the bad guys were because they were the most famous actors. And the guy from the Orange Wednesday ads was in it which was a bit hard to take seriously.

pouring rain here - perfect weather for all the housework I have to do booooooooooooooo

oops sounds like you had a lovely time hope the sleeping settles down

vg healing arnica laced thoughts to Mammy Gargenia AND DP

sibh I feel your frustration re ds except mine is caused by 33yr old DH I blame his facilitating irish mammy

hugs to all who need them, maybe back later if not send in the lifeboats

Steaknife · 30/04/2009 09:32

Morning all. Croissants on me as I had to feed myself up from fasting for 10 hours before my blood test, not even allowed a cuppa this morning.

The question on my mind this morning is - nursing necklaces - anyone use them. As I type I am being pulled down and strangled by DD as she plays with my necklace. So is it a con something useful or not?

I'm very excited with regard to meet up possibilities. I was wondering about suggesting a Briston meet up last night.

ds has had 2 both sided feeds so far this morning.....

Dare i hope we're coming to the end????

no1 am outraged on your behalf. I heard one of the hvs at miamla's clinic say something in a similar vein when i went with her last week. how do they manage to call them selves hvs?! are they paid by the formula companies??????????

oops glad you had a good trip. SOunds like your dd was much better onas LONG flight than my ds was on a 55 min one . .

steaky i was thinking about nursing encklaces a few months ago. Assuming feeding gets back on track i may get one to make ds have something fun as well as my face/ears/glasses/skin to fiddle with. I don;t care if he rips me to shreds right now though as i LOVE him feeding!

Ooh, ooh, ooh. I'm going to be down south in the last two weeks of May too. 1st week, North Dorset, 2nd Guildford.

No1- So sorry your HV upset you so much. I wish they'd realise what emotional subjects bf and our babies are. Surely they should have worked that out??! iirc M was a 10lber. Not all 10lbers turn out to be the biggest people just as the smaller babies don't necessarily turn out to be small (DH was a 5lb baby and is certainly not still at the bottom of the weight charts now ). As others have said, trust your instict. If you feel he's just finding his natural place, I think you'd know that better than a HV.

Morning dizzy . Do you know what tomorrow is?? [excited]

Great to hear what a good hol you had oops. Hope DD settled well last night and you're all feeling more refreshed this morning. Your talk of properly fitted jeans has given me a kick and DH has agreed to look after the girls at the weekend so that I can try to achieve the same (Dundee rather than NY - what do you think my chances are? ).

poppysocks · 30/04/2009 10:01

X-posts there...

Glad things are looking up for your Mum and DS VG and ALBS.

I've never seen those bf necklaces steaky, but that one's nice. I will have to stop next month due to my return to work so no use for me. And there won't be a next time . Anyway, DD2 likes to pinch my boob whilst feeding anyway. [ouch]

dizzydixies · 30/04/2009 10:10

oh Lord Poppy what is tomorrow, have I forgotten something?

dizzydixies · 30/04/2009 10:12

opening of Cairnie?!?! have wracked brains and other than DD1 going to a much anticipated b'day party and I'm finally getting my mess hair done thats all I can come up with

may shy away from being first through the door if the weather doesn't perk up though

poppysocks · 30/04/2009 10:20

Yay dizzy! Yes, not sure I'll be batttering down the doors in this weather but may well be partaking of their cream teas over the weekend.

Miamla · 30/04/2009 10:35

morning all,
lol re poppy's "what's tomorrow?"

ooh have we got a couple of foreigners visiting?? potentially poppy and steaky at the same meetup?! given that i'm a bit of a meetup hussie, let me know when you'll be doing it, DS seems to enjoy being on the train

vg that pendant you linked to is lovely... maybe for next time? I'm putting it down on my "next time" list of wants! pleased your mum's feeling a bit better

albs YAY!!!!! well done H!! so pleased he's had a proper feed this morning! your norks must be feeling pretty grateful!

oops hope DD finally settled for you

Miamla · 30/04/2009 10:36

somehow it seems wrong to describe the boobs of a vicar's wife as "norks" but i've done it now lol

DD settled again at 11 and slept quite well but was very unsettled and seemed sore from something so I gave her some calpol and the rest of the night was just waking for feeds but no screaming. She came in with us at about 5 and woke about 45mins ago. We were going to walk into town but it's raining here!

Sazzles- which dress is it? We can look in our Sainsbugs and send it to you if they have one in stock.

VG - pendants are lovely I have a very long old costume necklace which I sometimes wear when DD's nails need a cut!

Dizzy/Poppy Cairnie looks great esp. the cream teas!

Am going to try and catch up a bit more and put things away.
