I heard something about bonjela on the radio. We've got the dentenox (??sp) gel which I'm assuming is fine.

Am very sad that David T is leaving Dr Who- he is lush.

ronshar · 24/04/2009 10:44

I think so, it is the Salts in big Bonjela, they act like aspirin. So no good for babies & children.

Yes Mr Tennet is fine indeed. Did you see him on comic relief?

RachieW · 24/04/2009 10:49

Yes when he snogged Davina? Was so

RachieW · 24/04/2009 10:51

Thanks for the bonjela bit too. It's amazing all of the things that you have to watch out for.

Ds has now been asleep for nearly 2 hours, he looks so cute but I'm also wishing he'd done this earlier this morning so I could be asleep for 2hrs as well. Still have had lots of time to get on MN

Marthasmama · 24/04/2009 10:53

Yes I did and I wanted to kill Davina (more than usual). He was so full of energy and oooo just lovely!!! I have loved him since Casanova! I think we've got the teething one but I'll double check before giving it to her. I'm sure I used the regular one with DS - scary Is the teething one the banana flavour one. Urgh!

KSal · 24/04/2009 10:59

loving the saucy men discussions. I surprise myself by having a great big crush on dr mark sloane from grey's anatomy.

ronshar · 24/04/2009 11:02

I will throw into the pot DCI Gene Hunt. For the bit of rough in our lives

Marthasmama · 24/04/2009 11:04

Ksal - I nearly oassed out with shock there. I thought you meant Dr Mark Sloan from Diagnosis Murder Ha ha ha!

RachieW · 24/04/2009 11:04

Me too Ksal- I think I'm getting worse as I get older. I decided over Christmas that I Gary Barlow was quite tasty, now I liked Take That as a child and thought he was hideous. Maybe it was hormones...

I've never watched Greys but it's one of those progs that I see the advert for and wish I had.

MM- I know banana flavour teething gel- urgh. That's why I went for dentinox, it tastes like real bonjela. Having said all this I am about to go mash a banana to try ds with for lunch today

Honeymoonmummy · 24/04/2009 11:06

I love scottish accents.

Just had a discussion with the doc and he was not happy about the idea of Poppy being DF. He's really nice and was nice about it and will do the referral to the paed dietician but will also refer me to a paed because he wants their opinion on whether she should be DF. I mentioned she had been worse on the lactulose and teething gel. He said that her improving could be due to her age or the meds. I said yes but it doesn't explain the times when she'd got worse due to the lactulose or the teething gel. He was really pleasant but I have butterflies in my tummy now. The old HMM wouldn't have batted an eyelid at that conversation I just can't stand any confrontation at the moment, I'm turning into a wimp.

He's doing a prescription for soya formula CSWS, is rice milk better? Is it proven to be OK for babies? By now you know I bow to your superior knowledge but I do worry about these things.

Was gonna have a kip while DH out with Poppy but I feel too wound up now. I'll go and repaint my toenails see about tidying the house.

RachieW · 24/04/2009 11:06

Oooh yes Gene Hunt, you want to hate him but you can't. Have recorded monday's Ashes to Ashes but haven't watched it yet.

Hahaha- to Mark Sloan...am so sad have started watching Diagnosis Murder since being on mat leave.

Honeymoonmummy · 24/04/2009 11:08

You can still use the infant bonjela can't you?

Marthasmama · 24/04/2009 11:11

Yes I believe so hmm, not that I am talking to you because you seem to think I'm older than 37 .

RachieW · 24/04/2009 11:12

HMM- According to the news the infant teething gel is safe for babies.
uk.news.yahoo.com/4/20090423/tuk-warning-over-bonjela-products-dba1618.html

ronshar · 24/04/2009 11:12

HMM, GP's generally dont know much about babies. They def dont know anything about allergies. I can say that several of the gp's I have seen know fuck all about allergies. One told me not to get DD1 tested for nut allergy because you can get false positives. I am letting the dust settle before I go back and shout.
I struggled for years with allergy related sinus problems. A doctor told me to clean my house more often!!!
Anyway. carry on as you are and wait ofr paed ref and talk to dietian. At the very least you will lose some weight by being DF.

Honeymoonmummy · 24/04/2009 11:21

MM I can assure you the comment was not a reflection on your lovely fair skin but rather on the fact that he doesn't appear to need to shave yet... I certainly don't think you look older than 37. I would have put you closer to 36

Honeymoonmummy · 24/04/2009 11:21

Thanks Ronshar x

Marthasmama · 24/04/2009 11:26
  • Whahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! Hrumph.
KSal · 24/04/2009 11:47

oh my god RachieW i thought the same thing about Gary Barlow during comic relief - i was very upset about it but have decided its because he has aged very well and has nothing to do with me developing dubious taste in my 30s!

just google diagnosis murder - very funny.
no the one i am on about looks like leonardo dicaprio with a beard... odd choice admittedly!

ronshar · 24/04/2009 12:31

But surely MM you will need a mouth hole as well[evil laugh]

aubergenie · 24/04/2009 12:38

Oi MM. There's nothing wrong with being older than 37!!!

Marthasmama · 24/04/2009 12:44

No Aubergenie there isn't, unless you're not older than 37 yet. Actually Ronshar, the lack of a mouth hole would probably very good for me.

aubergenie · 24/04/2009 12:52

Fair enough. I'm just jealous.

The weather here is absolutely gorgeous - We've just been in the park and it's full of people sunbathing. I hope Myjob's got all this sunshine for her holiday.

Marthasmama · 24/04/2009 12:57

It's a very pretty time of year, especially when the sun is shining. Alas the sun and I are not friends. The sun likes buring me, even with factor 25 in. Stupid pasty white/blue skin. It's strange. DH is half Scottish and he tans beautifully, I have Italian blood and I'm a milky blue colour. Aubergenie - I find it very hard to come to terms with the fact that I won't ever be 20 something again. I want another go! I want my old pre-baby tummy back.

star6 · 24/04/2009 13:37

Q is going to crawl soon
