Denny185 · 30/04/2009 21:27

Just dropping in to say hello and hope ur all well.

KnitterInTheNW · 30/04/2009 22:21

Hi Denny!

LadyBee · 30/04/2009 22:25

Hello - I'm supposed to be completing a list of email addresses (yawn) but Babybee has just started coughing and DP is up with him so am sneaking on mumsnet to say hello

He's been in fab form in recent days, yesterday we went to swim class - Aquatots run by London Swim School, it was good fun and then after having a quick look around the high street and heading home B was so tired he slept for nearly 3 hours

I made a curry for dinner tonight but it turned out far too hot , DP struggled through it but I can't deal with that sort of thing and just ended up eating the rice and naan. I can already feel myself thinking of something to have with my tea. I'm trying to lose weight at the moment so have no biscuits or anything in the house. I am reduced to toast with honey or cereal.

LadyBee · 30/04/2009 22:26

oh dear, poor B. He's really upset by this coughing.
Should I go up?
Hmmm, think I'll let DP to try some more...

SalLikesCoffee · 30/04/2009 22:29

Oh VS, that is brilliant!!! Haven't heard it until now, love it!

Ladybee, I'm with you on that one - really, figures really isn't that important in the bigger scheme of things, which is why it annoys me even more!

Ellie, how is it going now? Just keep focused on the extra time you'll have with Mol later, it'll carry you through.

Hmm, how exciting all these pregnancy things Scorpio. Really glad for you that at least you've got a scan date now. I want to see the pics once it's done, please, pretty please.

Oh, I have to admit something majorly embarrassing... I had a quick word with my (lovely) boss tonight, and I meant to just say that the hours are a bit mad etc. I ended up blabbering away like some immature idiot, tears running down my face. What an imbecile. Bless the poor man, he was lovely. I don't even know why I said anything, it's going to get a little better from week after next - think I just wanted to get it out of my system. And it was 8pm. Damn.

SalLikesCoffee · 30/04/2009 22:35

Ah damn, just posted a proper post as I cross posted with you, and closed the tab by mistake.

Really just wanted to say best wishes for a decent night for poor B, Ladybee. Hope it's not too rough.

Hi too Denny and Knitter!

TheShipsCat · 01/05/2009 11:21

A started crawling and one because it means we have to do some serious babyproofing now! She's making up for lost time, and now she's got it, she is absolutely everywhere. And trying to master the stairs, which are really dangerous! I don't know how we are going to let her play outside anymore, we have some serious playpen construction to do!

Well done ladybee for letting lordbee do all the night time coughing stuff!
We've started swimming classes too - and it really wears A out. Hence me MNing now, in fact.

Sal - sorry work sounds so hard, your boss sounds sweet though!
And Ellie - tough for you too.
A's going to nursery another day a week from next week, which is great as I am pretty snowed under at work too. And it's totally unimportant stuff, unlike everyone else's!

Denny185 · 01/05/2009 18:48

Going to be an interesting looking boat by the time u have contructed a pen on the deck.

Hi knitter

Ended up leaving work late for the 4rd time this week, I seem to have real time keeping issues since going back. Not sure if it's a loss of the sense of time or the fact that I talk too much

SalLikesCoffee · 01/05/2009 22:18

Hi TSC and Denny. What on earth is going on with all our jobs at the moment?? Gmpf!

IT IS WEEKEND!!!!!!

SalLikesCoffee · 02/05/2009 11:23

Hey, where are everybody when I want to chat about complete random nonsense really important things?

I ordered an Ergo baby carrier for Roelof about 2 weeks ago, wanted it for this weekend. Every day annoyed the hell out of checked with reception if there were no parcel - just to get an e-mail on Thursday saying the company had server problems and my order went astray (don't know how they picked it up again). I'm disappointed, because I can't find any shops stocking them. Officially John Lewis is listed as a supplier, but they don't have any either. Sulk. There's this one place left in Walthamstow that apparently sells them too, so I might try my luck there later today.

For now, R's asleep and dh and I are having a lazy morning, catching up on magazines we've meant to read weeks ago and is just building up. It's lovely. What are everyone else doing this weekend?

ScorpiowithabigS · 02/05/2009 15:22

Sal i will talk crap with you

We have been 7 seater hunting today, and have decided upon this

this

Plenty of room . Now i just need to drive , lol.

Had a nice morning. V tired, going for nap in miute. MS horrendous at mo.

KnitterInTheNW · 02/05/2009 15:27

Hi Sal & Scorpio.

That's very pants about your ergo carrier Sal, fingers crossed that they have one for you. Do you have their number to call before you set off?

Nice car, Scorpio.

We went out for a late bday lunch with my odd ILs and it was actually ok! G is having a nap now and I'm sitting with my feet up on the beanbag, knitting and now chatting here. Lovely! I've decided to have a day off from doing house things (well apart from the 2 loads of laundry I've done) and go back to it fresh tomorrow. There's loads of stuff in the spare room still to put away, and I think I'll get more done if I have a break today.

SalLikesCoffee · 02/05/2009 17:10

Hi you two. Sorry, I didn't see your posts earlier.

Scorpio, nice car. You can have loads of more babies to fill that one up, now! Good luck on the MS. I enjoy imagining you pregnant - was such a lovely time - special and exciting etc. I somehow forgot about the tiredness and ms-ness though!

Knitter, I think you deserve this break, so enjoy!!! Well, break with laundry, but that seems to increase by the second, so I guess if you skip one day laundry will take over the world! (in our place anyway)

Good idea about calling ahead. Will do. I was too lazy to go in the end today, so we're still Ergo-less. R just woke up from his nap, so we're on our way to Smyths to buy him a play tunnel and slide for the garden. I'm rather excited myself, if I have to be honest.

KnitterInTheNW · 02/05/2009 17:59

Sal, I thought you worked with numbers... HOW many more babies can Scorpio have before the 7 seater is full?

Totally agree about laundry, there always seems to be baskets full, even if I emptied them the day before! At least today has been nice, load no 2 is very nearly dry on the line now. I might iron them and put them away tonight, I get silly pleasure from havng clothes in the dirty hamper, in the washer, on the line, ironed and put away in a day.

G loves his play tunnel, how's R finding it? have you managed to get him out of it yet?

Which other smilies can I manage to fit into this post?

Hope you had a relaxing nap Scorpio and that the MS passes soon.

ScorpiowithabigS · 02/05/2009 18:02

it's full now, Sal! it's very roomy inside though, but still just 7 seats.

LadyBee · 02/05/2009 19:36

Hi ladies! We had a lovely day today, put the shade tent up in the garden where B was playing and later in the afternoon we walked up to explore some local woods, that I had no idea were there until I got a little lost driving home from swimming the other day
I've joined a bookswap! I've seen these on MN for ages but never been at the right time and place to join and have just managed to squeeze on one by bribing with chocolate. I'm stupidly excited but feel a bit shy with these new people too
Ellie, remind me again when you're coming up to London?
Laundry is the ONLY household chore I get any pleasure out of. The rest I do because I know it needs to be done but clean laundry is delicious and comforting. I even like ironing.

KnitterInTheNW · 02/05/2009 19:59

I like ironing too! I find it very satisfying and stress relieving. I even iron muslin suares and tea towels.

Ellie's on London the weekend where the Saturday is August 22nd, and I think that's the day the meetup is going to be. Is that right, anyone? I can't book train tickets til 12 weeks before, which is the end of this month. They'd better have cheap tickets!

SalLikesCoffee · 02/05/2009 20:32

See, I keep telling you I need a change of career No, it's just that I always imagine there must be cildren hanging out all windows in anything that's not a "normal" car. So I feel you need to have three or so more. And invent double decker baby seats...

Knitter, Roelof loves the tunnel! I first saw him enjoy it at the gym, so when we wanted to buy something for the garden that can pack away small, I thought this would be perfect. In the end we decided not to buy the slide, and bought him [http://www.smythstoys.com/swings---slides/folding-nursery-swing-c08983pd.aspx this]] swing. Will try that out tomorrow.

Oh, and you lot are disgustingly organised and clean . I hate all kinds of house stuff. I do however like painting walls and cleaning the floor guard things with sugarsoap wipes. I suspect I'm weird in that.

SalLikesCoffee · 02/05/2009 20:33

www.smythstoys.com/swings---slides/folding-nursery-swing-c08983pd.aspx sorry, this one

SalLikesCoffee · 02/05/2009 20:34

oh hell, i can't even do pretty links tonight.
