Happy Birthday Molly & Sam & others!!!

Hi Carey i vaguely remember you

Soooooooo tired.

Peachy · 22/04/2009 13:25

Hello carey

Sam, Molly, Eve- happy birthday!

Started baby gym with Bas yesteray, very clingy but starting to like it by the end, will do him good to be more sociable.
Sorted school pick up fiasco (dropping off at the Juniors) and DH at the Uni today looking at options........ things comng abck together LOL

Soph73 · 22/04/2009 14:03

Afternoon all.
Happy Birthday Molly & Eve. Can't believe my baby is a year old.

Went for his check-up today and he's doing really well. He's 8.9kgs & 73cms (I think that's what she said, the book's in the other bag!) Unfortunately he had to have an injection. It's for a vaccine that is separate from all the others that they have. Fortunately I got it at cost from my friend's husband who's a pharmacist.

Pleased you're enjoying your job VS

The radiator in our car decided to blow up on the way home from school yesterday so we've just had to fork out for that. Luckily it didn't go when it was just me & Sam on the motorway. DS1 thought it was great fun waiting for the breakdown lorry

Dad & his girlfriend leave this evening so I'm taking them to the airport & waiting until my mum arrives - yay

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 14:08

Hope Sam is ok now. Chips tomorrow?? I was going to get chippy tonight but felt guilty to baby so am making burgers and wedges avec salad/beans.

Soph73 · 22/04/2009 14:15

Hi Carey

Peachy - pleased things are coming together

Soph73 · 22/04/2009 14:23

Yep, Sam fine & chips tomorrow & my mum's here It seems like ages ago when I lasted shouted chip day to the world LOL at you not wanting to give bump any chips, I'm sure he/she wouldn't be too miffed if you only had a few

Peachy · 22/04/2009 15:49

here

bas likes chips (BLW desperation with non gluten non dairy baby PMSL)

KnitterInTheNW · 22/04/2009 15:52

George doesn't like chips. I may have to disown him.

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 15:54

Mimi likes fish from the chippy

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 17:48

oh btw Mimi does have a little hernia. they said to leave it, but monitor.

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 18:12

It's GP tomorrow for new pregnancy and scan begging.

KnitterInTheNW · 22/04/2009 18:22

Happy birthday to Mol, Sam and Sal!

KnitterInTheNW · 22/04/2009 19:17

Fingers crossed that the begging works, Scorpio. I was looking at the pic from my 9 week scan earlier and George was just a kidney bean shaped blob!

EllieG · 22/04/2009 19:36

Happay birthday Sam and Eve!

We've had a lovely day - Molly loved her trike and sang all the time she was on it, like 'da dad da dad oooooooooo egg duck'

DH's family all forgot was her birthday
They never forget DSD - I don't think my lovely babe is as important to them. But stuff 'em, I say

Happy birthday Sal!

Yey! For knitter coming to London

And YEY for peachy's DH!!!!!!

See you later drinking wine and Mum's now x

TheShipsCat · 22/04/2009 19:43

Wow - loads of news!
Scorpio - Congratulations! . I am so pleased for you. Hope you're feeling not too tired. And I didn't get sore boobs with dd2, if that helps

Peachy - also great news about DH. Sounds like you needed something good to happen. Hope life's not too stressful.

Soph - so sorry that Sam was ill, must have been horrible. Glad he's better, and well enough to be having you on about coughing!

And happy birthday to all the birthday babies! Got A's present today - crayons as she's really into drawing scribbling.
I had a little bit of shit news. We are planning to move back to London for the winter, so DH doesn't have to commute and I get to see my friends, but this place that sounded prefect just fell through. Oh well, I'll just have to keep trying.

I should add that we live on a boat. There. I've said it now. (DH insists we aren't hippies, as he talks to our plants, rollie in mouth, mad hair in his eyes.) But it's really difficult to find places to moor in London. So I'll keep looking.

SalLikesCoffee · 22/04/2009 20:43

Happy birthday Molly, Sam (so sorry I missed you earlier, Soph - morning a bit chaotic at work) and Eve!

Ellie, you just made me burst out laughing with Molly's ".....egg duck" I somehow imagined her saying it in a "Tazmanian Devil" accent, hahaha. I want to see pics of her on her new trike! And yes, stuff the inlaws - only so much love one little girl can take before exploding anyway!

Hello Carey!

Oh, and TSC, I am of you living on a boat! How cool is that! Man, just being able to say "we are planning to move back to London for the winter" is fabulous! Dh not persuadable (I've tried, and this was pre-R!), but out of interest / nosiness - is it not difficult with a baby? You need to tell me it's horrendous and you hate every second, as the jealousy is threatening to consume me...

Thanks too for the birthday wishes. I had a great day - worked to 1, then dh took me to this lovely restaurant, where we had a 3 (!!!) hour lunch and spent our inheritance on wine. Was fabulous!

LadyBee · 22/04/2009 22:35

wow, fancy schmancy Sal Happy Birthday to you!!

And Happy Birthday to Molly too!!

And Happy Birthday to Isabel, daughter of the one of my lovely RL postnatal group friends in whose honour we made a 2nd visit to Aquarium today - I totally recommend this place to those coming into London. You can get 2for1 tickets if you get a national rail ticket (not hard, it's closest to Waterlook station), and it's brilliant for babies, they're mesmerised by the fish-ish-ish-ishhhhhey-fish-fish.

SalLikesCoffee · 22/04/2009 23:42

Thanks, Ladybee!

Your day sounds lovely! Is the Aquarium now "done"? We went at the beginning of the year, and they were still busy working then. I'd love to return if it's finished now.

LadyBee · 22/04/2009 23:47

yes, it's all finished and looks great - I hadn't been before the renovations were done but friends who had said it's much improved.

KnitterInTheNW · 23/04/2009 07:31

That's good to hear. I went to the London Aquarium a lot during my years of London nannying, it was always great but sounds even better now!

Travelodge are having a £9 a room sale starting at 6am, and the site's crashed! We're keeping trying to see if we can get a London room later in the year, so that we can visit friends and do stuff like go to the aquarium too. That's if they have any rooms left by the time we get on!

TheShipsCat · 23/04/2009 09:33

Sal - that sounds wonderful - happy birthday! Now I'm at Gordon Ramsey. Mmm.

Yes, it is hard on a boat with two LOs. You really have to keep tabs on where they are, as its a very tidal river and quite dangerous. But I wouldn't change it, can't see us moving back to a flat/ house ever really. I love it -except winter is tough. There's also always a ton of maintenance to do, we spend all weekend working on it.

Aquarium sounds great, I've never been. We're going to the zoo for A's birthday.

KnitterInTheNW · 23/04/2009 10:03

Do you have a pic of your boat, TSC? I'm very excited about you living on one!

MommyHasaHeadache · 23/04/2009 10:10

Happy Birthday Emilia, SushiMama's Baby, Eve, Sam, Molly and Zoe!!!

AND Happy Birthday Sal!!! Very envious of your lunch time outing - sounds divine! Lucky girl!!

We are taking Gigi to the Aquarium on her birthday! DH has the day off and we are going to spend the day with our little Princess! Then on the Saturday, we are having a little party at home with family and friends. It's going to be a butterfly theme and I've got Gigi a little butterfly fairy outfit to wear! lol Overboard, much?!

Hey - I also want to come to the meetup!! Would be so fab to meet you Ellie! And to hopefully meet Knitter, Scorpio and VS! I'll probably be working by then, so will be easy!

TSC - wow! On a boat! It's funny, in all the times you have spoken about your home, I never imagined it to be a boat! You have a cat too don't you? Jeez - hats off to you trying to keep tabs on 2 DC and a cat!

We had Gigi's 8 - 12 month check the other day. All is well and she is progressing as she should be. 79cm and 9.45kg and a cheeky little monkey! She is fighting me already - my mom just laughed when I told her and said - oh my - she is JUST like you! She fights when I try put her in her car seat/high chair/activity center/change mat. You name it, if it ain't where she wants to go, she will fight it!! Feisty!

I had my copper coil (finally) put in the other day, and if it wasn't for that, I would swear I was pregnant. SOOOOOOOOOOO tired the whole time. Moody and tearful. But I'm def not - done 4!! preg tests - the 1st 3 failed and the last one was a neg! And I've had my period... Does anyone else have a coil? Is this how it makes you feel?

Waves hello at Carey! Hello chickie!! Long time!

TheShipsCat · 23/04/2009 10:41

Ooh, I was going to have a coil fitted, but that doesn't sound nice...is that what it is?

The butterfly theme sounds great, really sweet!

the cat didn't make it. Down to Davey Jones' locker, and all that.
