jump that's fantastic news

Hi Lal!

artichokes · 12/03/2009 21:43

Yay for GOSH and JJ's friend's baby.

And yay for LadyT and your brilliant advice and amazing resillence. You really are an inspiration after everything you have been through. I am so glad you have lovely DP and DD now.

Eurgh, am so sick of broken computer and reliance on iPhone. I want to have you all as FB friends but I can't access hotmail to work out your real names. How do I request to join the group?

artichokes · 12/03/2009 21:45

Duh, just worked out how to ask to the join the group, Kayz do you recognise my name?

kayzr · 12/03/2009 21:50

artichokes · 12/03/2009 21:53

That is me!

kayzr · 12/03/2009 21:53

YAY!!!!

JamInMyWellies · 12/03/2009 22:07

Jump thats fab news so pleased for your friends.

I have been lurking and trying to keep up but I just dont seem to have enough hours in the day I see a FB group has been set up no idea how that works but will give it a bash.

Veggie and others that have been talking about dry skin its something that we have been really struggling with here DS1 over christmas got awful skin looked like red welts all over his body its in his hair and everything I have taken him to the docs and was prescribed hydrocortisone cream which has sort of cleard it up but its still lingering now poor little Lachie is now got dry patched all over his skin am using non bio washing powder and cremaiing them up all the time went to Boots today to buy Aveeno on your recomendations girls hop eit works.

Verso my love I really feel for you deep breath my lovely.

LadyT you really talk alot of sense so sorry you have had to deal with all that you have. You come across as someone who is very gracious and someone who refuses to get drawn into ugly arguments.

Bisou what a chunk I thought L was a whopeer at near on 15punds at 12wks.

Jeans shopping what it Jolly I have to say I am a sucker for jeans I have around about 20 pairs TBH can only fit in 2 of them at the mo but I have to say go expensive I have some jeans that are around 4yrs old and still look as good as when I bought them citizens of humanity and 7seven are pretty good.

Rosmerta I have been watching my boys right or kleft handedness DS1 is very right handed and always was from a few wks old. DS2 look loke he will be left handed he is being very definate with his left like Archie was with his left. DP is left handed and I am right handed not sure if that makes a difference.

Oh just remembered veggies page 3 antics while snowboarding

WG how cool that your DH is in the sketch tom .

I know thatre was loads more I wnted to say but will try again tom got to go sort out Lachlans dream feed.

OH and am joining all of you on the chocolate eating Dp and I this evening have managed to have a takeaway and eaten a whole big bag of minsterls.

Also breast feeders out there what does it feel like when you get thrush my nipple has a sort of stabby pain in it??

Am sure my spelling and grammer is as shocking as normal just skip over it.

artichokes · 12/03/2009 22:44

I'm loving seeing some of you on FB. However, for those worried about MN/RL cross-over, I have noticed the group name does appear in my list of groups (and will show up in your story feed if you write on the group wall etc). One solution might be to change the group title so there is no mention of MN. However, feel free to ignore me if I am the only one with an all consuming fear of RL/MN colliding .

LadyThompson · 12/03/2009 23:06

Hello everyone! I am not that wise. I was suckered in by Weight Watchers wine in the supermarket and opened it tonight for a 'treat'.

It isn't good

I am on Facebook and am going to have a nose in a minute. For any stalkers out there, the pictures are quite old or are just ones that I have been tagged in I really MUST put some of me, DP and DD on there.

Arti, I share your and Turnip's fear of MN/RL collide so could we change the group title? Merci beaucoup.

Jump, I am SO pleased for your friends....Jam, I too have many pairs of jeans (love 'em) and sadly the only ones that fit me are maternity ones. Ahem.

Right Lal, race talk tomorrow

ps; am going to try some sugar water tonight to see if it will help L to go through. She just had a great feed and I see no reason why (ha ha ha) she can't sleep til 6.30/7. I doubt she will agree with me. Wish me the best of british and irish luck!

DH is in a caravan in Cheltenham - he goes every year with the boys. Sounds so grim. They drink guinness all night and play cards. Apparently the smell in the morning is beyond description.

WG I agree with your comment on Denise van O they wouldn't even consider interviewing someone who had lost a child so recently. Dreadful. So heartbreaking. Fair play to Fearne Cotton however. and all of them.

Turniphead1 · 12/03/2009 23:50

durrr. just reread and saw you said it isn't good. thought as much!

Veggiemummy · 12/03/2009 23:54

Wow I go away for a couple of hours and you lot are up two pages. Loving our FB group thanks Kayz, happy to change the name, though no idea to what, maybe with Turnips blessing it could have a Nanny Anne theme? Or is that also a connection.

WG very exciting to be able to watch your DH tomorrow will look out I love Mitchell & Webb. And your NCT don't know what they are missing I would love to live close enough to do stuff with you.

Jam I love really good jeans too a big fan of pepe diesel and miss sixty for jeans but don't want to buy jeans that will last 4 years as I intend to not fit them by this time next year (I'm hoping that they will be too big not too small). When I am down to a size 12 I'm going to treat myself to 2 pairs of really good jeans and some intense clothes shopping!!! Oh where should I go.

Ds1 is left handed but there is no one on dh side who is left handed and only relative I have who is is my step father and that's only by marriage! We seem to have a few lefty LOs then. Must be something in the water.

Veggiemummy · 12/03/2009 23:55

Oh and JJ if it uncomfortable turn her around to face forward.

LadyThompson · 13/03/2009 00:02

Just put a couple of pics up on Facebook. Night y'all.

Veggiemummy · 13/03/2009 00:08

Oh and with left right preference to other things I'm right handed to write but do a lot of other things with my left or both. I hold ds' on my left side (apparently a sign of PND) and I snowboard surf and skate goofy. I'm not sure how the dominant hemisphere effects other areas of the body so not sure if where she looks can predict which hand she will use. Might just be more comfortable for her. Will be interesting to see whether she is left or right handed though.

Hi nice to see you back Turnip that is nice about you and your SIL (and happy that there was at least some crazy MIL action for you to bring back to us)

Agree about the insensitivity WG, they aren't some alien race they are effected by loss like the rest of the world and should have this bereavement respected the same as any mother in Britain. But also put into perspective our silly little worries about routines and when to wean or whether to BF or FF when they have to be concerned with whether their precious LOs will make it to 5.

kmp1 · 13/03/2009 00:10

Just a quicky... gosh - went out to dinner and now in bed reading here and wow I can't keep up!! Got as far as the face Book post though so have request to join - will catch up in the morning... B in bed at 930pm tonight - I'm thrilled so will either update with a normal 7am feed or earlier ???? Hope not fingers x ed....

Veggiemummy · 13/03/2009 00:10

Oh and great news JJ. Poor little thing in ICU I have been to that ICU it's a grim place so many machines and beeps. The machines are bigger than the kids, it makes them look so small.

kmp1 · 13/03/2009 00:11

oh PS - LT WW wine - awful yes - tried it (the white) when it first surfaced!

kmp1 · 13/03/2009 00:13

oh yes also great news JJ - hope the time flies in ICU and he is home soon

Wow! I've found so many of you on Facebook. Have friend requested abbymeg, Cat, Jam, Katie, Kayz, Kimberley, Kmp, majormoo, mibbes, pixsix, poisondwarf, rosmerta, Simmo, Summerlightning, Sybil, TheInvisibleHand, Turnip, and Zoe. Anyone else I've missed you'll have to find me by searching with my RL name from the email list (not the email address though as I use a different one for Facebook). Or the group - I've now requested to join it Kayz.

Actually a few of the people I've just friend requested haven't been on here for a while - I hope they don't think I'm stalking them!

kayzr · 13/03/2009 06:57

Morning.

I have changed it to just December 2008 Mums. That way it doesn't show up as being to do with MN.

We got the Bumbo down last night for DS2 to try. He looked a bit surprised in it. But DS1 has just got up and of course sat in it and got stuck!!!

Hope you all had good nights sleep.
