herbgarden · 15/03/2009 13:13

That is truly horrible - I don't like the "c" word anyway [prudish emoticon needed here]...but to say it to a baby - poor little thing - no 'ope eh!

The HV was telling me about a family she'd been to see just before me where the partner was saying to the toddler that he'd "beat him up" if he didn't do as he was told .

MrsY can you send Meredith round to have a little chat with DD???....that's a lovely long stretch. What a poppet !

Am very full up on roast dinner but am laid on sofa with Sunday papers and laptop (as is DH) and DS is watching sky +'d Charlie & Lola - an absolute herbhouse favourite (altho' DS is also mad on Peppa Pig)...am still considering planting up the seeds...maybe later .

Ciao for now

mumoverseas · 15/03/2009 13:54

afternoon all, what a nasty man, if my DH ever did that it would be the last thing he ever did.

spotty, sorry DH was being an arse and hope his behaviour soon improves. If not maybe drop subtle hints that one of the MNers is a divorce lawyer!

H has been a little rat today. He has been awake pretty much constantly from around 4am and then finally fell asleep in the buggy at around 12.30pm when we went to get DD from nursery. Think he is having wind/tummy problems poor little thing. what is the best thing for that? Is it infracol? DH in UK til Wednesday am so will have to send him to a chemist as we can't get stuff like that our here.

A bit of excitement in Saudi today, we had royalty on our compound! The school DS 1 goes to (about half an hour from our compound) had its new 6th form building officially opened today by Prince Andrew who then popped along to our compound to have a look and visited our coffee shop/cafe. Think it was supposed to be very low key but you know how us girlies talk and I think he was pretty surprised to see so many mums, tots and babies when he walked in with his possee.

PinkTulips · 15/03/2009 13:55

marking for later as keep losing my place.

shitty day. dp and i are splitting up i think

elkiedee · 15/03/2009 13:56

Shocked at your dhs' selfishness - dp isn't perfect but he's much better than these guys. He cooks our meals and washes up, and looks after ds1 while I deal with the milk monster. I tend to do more laundry and general tidying up.

swampster · 15/03/2009 14:09

Oh crap, PT . I don't know what to say. How are you feeling?

PinkTulips · 15/03/2009 14:16

too tired to care at this point.

things he's said can't ever be taken back or made right.

his loss, i'll still have my 3 gorgeous babies... he'll be the sad fucker who's lost his family, and there isn't any woman as stupid as me to put up with him so he'll be lonely for a long time.

swampster · 15/03/2009 14:18
Sad
Calico1 · 15/03/2009 14:32

Seems like there are lots of crappy DPs and DHs out there at the moment, mine included.

DCs are both asleep and I am savouring a rare moment to myself with MN and a cuppa - DH has just come in and moaned about how filthy the house is (it isn't) and suggested that I have a clean up whilst the children are asleep......I have been awake since 4am, whereas he had a lie in (again). I am absolutely not moving from the sofa......

PT you ok?

MarkStretch · 15/03/2009 14:34

PT are you ok my lovely?

We're all here for you.

Calico1 · 15/03/2009 14:35

PT - sounds awful - just concentrate your thoughts and energy on your lovely little ones.....

mumoverseas · 15/03/2009 15:09

PT, huge hugs, I do hope its just a hormonal thing (you and or him) and that things are ok. You know we are all here for you though xxx

spottypushedherbabyout · 15/03/2009 15:17

PT We love you sweetie xxx

SomeMightSay · 15/03/2009 15:47

Thanx swampy for playdough tip, will try in the microwave. Didn't do itoday because we've driven over to my dads.
MrsY That's great that M is sleeping through that long. i am soooo jealous! Enjoy it. x
PT How awful. Hope you're ok. Like MS and MoS say, you know we are all here for youl, so sorry. x

littlesez · 15/03/2009 16:14

just a quick skim missed a few pages. Couldn't watch comic relief, far too emotional.

re; men. Mine was banished to the couch last night with only a throw and couple of cushions whilst i had king size bed and 7 pillows! kept waking me in between being woken to feed babs with his drunken self, I was so angry

crying baby got to go ..........

PinkTulips · 15/03/2009 16:23

dd's friends mother just collected her to go to soft play, last thing i heard wafting up the drive was 'she can have fizzy drinks can't she?'.... so on top of all this i'm going to have dd back in on top of me in a couple of hours possessed by the coca cola demon.

aaron hasn't slept since 7.30 am, he keeps dozing off and then waking up 3/4 mins later because of his snotty nose.

i really just want to curl up in front of the telly with my bodyweight in chocolate and ignore everyone

MrsY · 15/03/2009 16:28

PT we're here for you. hope things are as well as they can be...

spottypushedherbabyout · 15/03/2009 16:34

I'm in

I've just had a massive gush of blood that soaked through my trousers and everything and is still coming. I rang the labour ward as thought they still bothered with you for 4 weeks post birth only to be told "Erm it sounds like your period love"

I had my baby 2 weeks ago, I'm breastfeeding, is it really going to be my period She didn't ask anything about my birth, previous section, even my name. I have been dismissed with a - "and if you're really worried go to your GP"

thehouseofmirth · 15/03/2009 16:40

Blast, MIL gone home. I could really get used to having a live-in housekeeper. Should be dealing wth washing, unloading dishwasher and thinking about DS1's tea but instead am Mumsnetting with a glass of Pinot Grigio and a huge plate of hot cross buns...

PT sorry you're having a crap time. FWIW I've said some truly apalling things to DH in the past which I didn't really mean, or perhaps did, but shouldn't have said, but I'm glad we're still together. It's really easy for it all to escalate without you really meaning it to, just because you're angry. Whatever you want to happen, I hope you can work it out.

thehouseofmirth · 15/03/2009 16:42

Spotty that doesn't sound right, not a gush. I'd ring them back and try again.

PinkTulips · 15/03/2009 16:54

spotty, i had the same thing afer ds1, bleeding died off and then about 2/3 weeks post birth i stood up and gushed blood.

bleeding picked up for a few days and then died down again

when i mentioned my bleeding had slowed right down to my PHN she warned me it's common for it to pick up again and a gush of blood when you stand up is normal.

TinkerBellesMumandFiFi2 · 15/03/2009 17:32

Thanks Spotty. I love my hair; while I like it long I like that it has a style! It is odd though when it?s at the front and looks really short! WRT the hospital, I?d complain about that response, it wouldn?t be your period if you were bottle-feeding!

Pempe it?s normal, pretty much anything is with a baby, they like their milk! It will ease off soon, usually after the 6 week growth spurt.

Rosie, it?s nothing to do with MAM and FSIDS. The study doesn?t say what they said it does, you just have to read it through to see that but most people read the headings ? I did till I was told. The MAM and FSIDS problem is that they?re misrepresenting the study they make money out of.

SMS, I agree. Tink?s passport still has her as a 3 month old baby, I could take any 2½yo and no one would know.

MrsY, that?s awful, I agree TBD wouldn?t need to go to the GP, I?d do it for him (followed by my mum and his step-dad )

We can?t possibly have anyone left can we? This should be the last week because anyone left is over 42 weeks. We have lovely names and I don?t think there?s a Top Ten in there!

Aww PT [hug] are you alright? Don?t make any decisions yet, your hormones and everything that is happening right now will affect how you?re thinking and feeling.

I had to lol about your daughter it reminded me of Tink coming back from her cousin?s birthday saying ?I don?t like coke? which I?ve been telling her for ages as she doesn?t remember having it before. Her aunt is a CM and doesn?t let her 10yo drink tea!

I spent yesterday in bed with a tummy bug and massive headache, TBD was in London, Dad was at work and Mum is away. We asked Tink?s nan to have her this weekend but she couldn?t, so I had to look after her on my own when I could barely get out of bed.

I?ve just spent an hour in Solihull with the girls, on my own! I?m never doing that again!! I am going to Shop Mobility when I get a chance and signing up. I needed to go in as it?s Tink?s godmother?s birthday. Tink got her a bunch of wooden roses and she carried them until Dad picked us up. She held these flowers in front of her at arms length and ran everywhere! She just stopped short of running into Alison (BB and This Morning) who commented on her lovely flowers

herbgarden · 15/03/2009 17:53

A friend of mine had the blood gushing after the (vaginal) birth of her daughter- unfortunately it happened through a pair of white trousers at Waterloo Station - however I'm not sure she (or doc) ever worked out what it was.....have you called NHS direct or your out of hours surgery? I found the latter to be really helpful the other saturday night when my wound was red and swollen.

PT sorry you're having a miserable Sunday and really hope that you can either work it out between you or work something out. It's all a bit much on top of a newborn baby and two other small children to deal with isn't it. Keep chatting to us on here, you know you'll get lots of support from the Fab Febbers...

Dh gone off to play golf for a few hours (why did he need to do this round tea/bath ??)

Anyway, I did manage to sow my seeds in the trays - with DS "help" - we have more soil on the patio than in the trays but he was a very sweet helper. DD lay in her buggy outside snoozing so it was a nice hour or so pottering outside in the mild weather tbh. Clocks must go forward next weekend musn't they? Lose an hour although I suspect it's neither here nor there for most of us - we're hardly getting enough sleep as it is !
