Well, just back from the osteo.
Apparently I'm ready for the scrapheap
My pelvis is shot, it should expand and it's completely seized up or something
My neck is locked up as is the base of my skull, and this spreads to my chest.
Oh and I have a slightly arthritic knee.
Otherwise I'm great

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/03/2009 20:49

Yay for Naomi gaining, even if it was only a little.

jenwa - I get notifications when someone writes on my wall, but not on the group's wall.

MM - are you confessing just because I did yesterday?! Ds had a single cooked carrot stick today too, and a bite of banana this evening. If you're starting now then I would say to try and be relaxed about it, and just offer an odd bit now and then, rather than rushing her to have 3 meals or large quantities. To my mind it's about introducing tastes rather than nutrition.
Myjob - that all applies to you too .

Honeymoon - never mind what's wrong with you - what did you wear?
But seriously, the important thing is can he fix you?

Thin leggings that I used to go running in a lifetime ago I didn't mind taking my top off but it was quite thin so he said leave it on. So I worried about nothing

He thinks there's a lot he can do to help. I'm glad I didn't take the docs advice now and sit it out till 6 months after birth!

Honeymoonmummy · 06/03/2009 21:32

Is scampi dairy-free??

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/03/2009 21:48

Depends on brand.

I've had them twice this week eating out.

Honeymoonmummy · 06/03/2009 22:19

There was nothing else on the menu either time that I thought might be ok.

No CSWS I didn't see you'd confessed until this evening, but I feel better knowing you did! I think that the slow approach is best, she hasn't seemed intersted today so I've left it. I checked her tounge thrust and that seems to have gone. She can nearly sit on her own but is much more interested in stand so tend to try to push herself to standing all the time.

HMM - good to hear you're fixable and I sill can't get into pre-pregnancy clothes. [whale emoticon] Don't be afraid of asking what on the menu is dairy free. I got special treatment at my friend's wedding as I was avoiding wheat and dairy. They cooked me my own meal!

Myjob- oh dear yes, horrible nappies. It's enough to put you off weaning. And yay on Ns weight gain, especially as you were so concerned.

Aubergenie - I plan to start baby signing lessons in the summer as there are a few local classes. The sooner I can work out what she wants the better!

Ronshar - We have a Stokke so that will keep us going for a while. I don't recommend it though. It's clumbersome and doesn't really fold down! It also gets more comments than lovely DD because it's weird looking.

Ekka - Poor DS with his eczema. Infant eczema does get better. My DS is all clear now and had it badly on his cheeks at around this age.

I've had a lovely sleep this evening as DH is back.

jenwa · 06/03/2009 22:35

Dd has had horrible nappies since day 1! BF gave her stinky loose ones and then Aptimal formula did too but the HVS said if she happy and content then no worries and she is, just everyday or every other she has a massive explosive one and it goes up her back or down her legs and its a change of clothes required!

Honeymoonmummy · 06/03/2009 22:38

Whale emoticon. Ha!

They are VERY stretchy leggings

Marthasmama · 06/03/2009 22:41

Yes Jenwa - It's the same here too with the pooing, same timing and everything. The Bumbo seems to make her poo and it usually comes out of the bottom of her trousers! I am constantly washing! I think maybe the Bumbo causing her to poo is a good sign for the future, after all it does look like a potty!

Honeymoonmummy · 06/03/2009 22:42

Poppy has staarted to refuse her gaviscon quite a lot (mixed with water). As I can't express much am thinking of mixing it with formula so just talking 3 x 30ml per day - what do u all think and which formula?? The alternative is a syringe but ot would be quite a lot.

KSal · 06/03/2009 22:53

its sooo good to hear that others are having the same BF/Aptamil poo issues that i am (sorry that i am revelling in your poo related pain!)

i can't believe how fast this thread moves. Have also joined the FB group

myjob my HV told me to start at 24 weeks so emma has been trying finger food for a couple of days... but i am on the verge of chickening out of the BLW and have spent the evening puree-ing veg!

HMM if you were going to try formula, I would try Aptamil if i were in your position. It seems to approximate breast milk quite well. I base that on the fact that when i moved emma over to aptamil from breast milk her poo did not change one iota. Not very scientific I know!

Honeymoonmummy · 07/03/2009 06:59

Yes the gaviscon constipates her enough as it is...thanks. Managed to get it down her this morning. I'm reeeeally aching!! Thought osteo's supposed to make you feel better?

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/03/2009 07:14

just a quickie to say nooooooooo to formula hmm - it's dairy so will totally mess up your df experiment!

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 07/03/2009 08:32

Just re-read your post hmm. Why 30ml? You're supposed to mix the double sachet with 15ml, not 30. Can you not express 45ml a day, even with practice?

Pistaschio ? I was laughing about everybody?s weaning confessions too! Ds seems to think that me eating is really hilarious, but that?s about it so far.

Ekka ? I feel so sorry for ds with his excema.

Myjob ? your cloth nappies sound good. I?ve been experimenting with various ones on loan from friends with mixed results. Which ones are you using?

Sorry to hear you?re ready for the scrapheap HMM. Are you beyond help?

I went to school yesterday and the head has agreed to me going p/t. I?m so relieved!

Honeymoonmummy · 07/03/2009 11:30

Hopefully not Aubergenie!

CSWS we used to mix the single dose with 15ml so when double dose we doubled water - I think we confirmed this with the doc?? Will re-check Mon.
Of course, forgot about the DF, baby brain!! I really don't know how I'm gonna cope when I go back to work!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/03/2009 11:36

The sachets themselves have the instructions on hmm .
If df makes a diff then when you go back to work you can ask for a prescription for Nutramigen.

I found the other confessions amusing too. I think that everyone else was afraid of me lecturing them to wait, so when I confessed first they all breathed a sigh of relief!
