Jan 09' Dribbling, swaying and babbling...thats just the mamas....

What do you think?

moosemama · 09/04/2009 17:52

Dog DC4! You brave soul you!

Tree like the title.

Cake is baked, just the icing to do now and that'll have to wait till he's in bed.

stripeywoollenhat · 09/04/2009 19:30

mmmm, cake...

stripeywoollenhat · 09/04/2009 19:39

also, dribbling, swaying and babbling sounds about right to me...

EachPAQUESPearMum · 09/04/2009 20:33

I thought the mousey one was too girly! Love the stripes though...
moose cakes sound amazing!

tink am quite nervous of putting my 2 in together- ds has been in cotbed for past month in our room anyway.... but dd is such a nightmare to put to bed, goodness knows how she'd cope with ds in there- he goes to bed after her too....eek

We bought dd's uniform today, which she quite enjoyed. Was so odd seeing her in it though.

The dress was the smallest they had... and it is sooo long! It is massive on her but she looked so grown up! She needed an age 4 coat though sizes are all completely different... I didn't know you could get jumpers in 22" chest

Hi everyone and Happy Easter -

Haven't had time yet to catch up on the thread so apologies, but stripey have looked at your pics of C, what a cutie! How do you pronounce your name btw? Sorry, you must get asked that all the time!

chef Violet is gorgeous too and looks so grown up next to all the jan babies.

Had a lovely time in Derbyshire; we were staying with friends who have a smallholding so were treated to home bred organic roast pork and smoked sausages. The best part was when Nye slept from 8pm until 6am without waking up once!!! Amazing. Unfortunately no repeat performance the next night though!

tink good luck with your photo session.

tree great title but can we add 'drooling' too?!

stripeywoollenhat · 10/04/2009 15:57

thanks missj - i am a bit biased, i know, but i can't believe she is related to me, she is so cute... it has to be said that nye is a bit of stunner too .

my name is pronounced row (as in 'row a boat') sheen (it can also be pronounced roh (the o is like the start of orange) sheen but that's a northern pronunciation and i'm from the south of ireland - though i was born in the north... are you confused yet...?)

happy easter to all of you. hope there are easter eggs all round

treedelivery · 10/04/2009 18:39

Moose - as in those barbie cakes are easy, not your amazing projects!

MissJ - at your meal! You realise your profile has you childless?? So why the drooling?

Stripey - my family from Clare

dd1 start scool in sept - it's the thought of her having to manage at luch time. Getting a tray and finding a seat. Oh my.

Tink - glad 1st night together a success. We're a long way from Harriet joining Jess. She was up every 2 hours last night for a good hour of cuddles. So I'm with you Peach with the nerves!

Clothes sizes all bonkers. got these JojoMamanBebe outfits for them for special days - the 3-6 months dress fits Hats now and she is 11 weeks!

She's here screaming with wind bless her. Nothing I can do but sway and reassure her.

missjackson · 10/04/2009 19:00

Thanks tree, have updated my profile! Hope you manage to settle Harriet soon, poor little mite.

Lovely name stripey.

Did anyone else get a 'Health in Pregnancy' grant? I totally missed it! Apparently it's £190 no questions asked, free to anyone who is 25 weeks pregnant or more. I could have bought even more impractical clothes for him not to wear! Am bummed out now...

Lovely day at the farm; we went up to see the new foal who was born a few days ago (there's a v cute pic of it on facebook!), watched a lamb being born, and sat outside in the sun - but despite all the fresh air, Nye has been awake since about 11am - seems like this boy just doesn't like wasting the day sleeping! Fingers crossed he will sleep tonight.

rrrayray · 10/04/2009 19:26

missJ i knew there was some kind of grant, but i thought it was for those on very very low/ no income? Wow- Nye is VERY awake. Esme never is awake for more than 2 hours at a time. She takes a nap for about 40 mins at 9am, has about 2 hours from 12 noon and another 40 mins about 4.30 before her bedtime at 7pm.

Afraid havent time to catch up on everyones posts, only got as far as the one above me by miss j and have to run and put dinner on.

Wont see OH v. much for my birthday tomo. Off to friends house its her hen do.. we'll be sitting in garden with nibbles all day (weather permitting!)

treedelivery · 10/04/2009 19:31

The grant came in this year - I think we all miss it. BUMMER!!!

EachPAQUESPearMum · 10/04/2009 20:46

Universal maternity grant started for those with EDD 01/04/09 and after.... grrr. Its a decent amount too!

For some reason DS has decided to have an extra night feed on a regular basis now- am propping my eyes open with chocolate matchsticks....

tree/missj why is it that the bit I was about was the food too!

tink great news on the room sharing we stress, and fret, but they come through for us, don't they?

dog I think she's beautiful... but I'm kind of biased! Your brood is gorgeous too though I can never believe how young and lovely you are you are so 'together', and capable.... don't know how you wrangle 3 of them!
And yes, she is v excited about it, though a bit apprehensive too, naturally.

missjackson · 10/04/2009 20:47

Oh that explains it tree.

Wow ray am envious of lovely Esme who likes to sleep! After a long but fun day I'm pleased to report that Nye is finally asleep, and his mama has poured herself a nice glass of wine.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow ray, sounds like a lovely day you've got planned, and hope you get spoiled with lots of nice prezzies.

stripeywoollenhat · 10/04/2009 20:59

missj - c would have a complete meltdown if she stayed awake that long, even though she is quite resistant to going to bed... she has more or less worked out a routine of her own in the last week - 45 min to 1 hour in the am, 1-2 hours at lunchtime and about an hour in the afternoon before bed at seven - and if we don't comply with her sleep needs she gets downright shouty... she does need darkness and white noise (a recording of a hairdryer) to manage the sleeping, though...

tree, we are getting to in-between stage with the clothes; it's nuts that they have 3-6 month clothes really, the difference between the beginning and the end is so vast... i somehow thought you might be irish(at least ish), though i really couldn't possibly say why. possibly something linguistic that i didn't consciously register...?

no grants here for the pregnant, and it seems as though all of the child related payments are on their way out . typical, eh? stupid effing recession...

ray, happy birthday tomorrow, hope your do is fun

treedelivery · 10/04/2009 21:27

The Irish can smell esch other. Very odd. Big tribe of red heads in profile a give away, I look Irish. So do my Mum and Nan.

Shall we jump threads now or later?? I get nervoud at the end of the line!

Happy Birthday Ray - although I'm sure I'll post on Sat too.

stripeywoollenhat · 10/04/2009 21:36

must be quite a stench if it can travel across the interweb...

i reckon it's time for a new thread, complete with drooling - who'd like to do the honours, then?
