ray - really glad you had such a nice birthday - and pizza is always good we are all mac in this house, fine machines

tree, sorry to hear that poor harriet is having such a miserable time with her innards, i know it's really hard to bear them being upset in any way. we have had a bit of an evening with c, all my fault as i had several coffee refills at brunch with some friends today and the poor baba wound up completely wired. [bad mother emoticon]

elkie, i think c is probably around 11.5lbs now and she's out of the 0-3 months, more or less. she is suddenly 61cm long! (was 51cm at birth)

stripeywoollenhat · 11/04/2009 21:25

tree, your daughters are beautiful

moosemama · 11/04/2009 23:15

Tree your little girls are gorgeous, they have such beautiful complexions and those eyes - absolute stunners, both of them!

I think the book is fantastic, so lovely to have a record of things, as its really easy to forget. I am a bad bad Mummy who, despite being anal in organising most things, has never managed to sort out all our photos which are still stored under the date they were downloaded rather than in any logical way, making retrieval almost impossible without hours of trawling through them all every time.

Am wasted now after spending hours perusing ebay for a nice shabby chic wardrobe for DDs room. Watched a gorgeous one for 2 weeks, only 2 other bidders and was very hopeful then the bidding price jumped from 50 to 250 pounds in one bid. Have seen hundreds now but none that seem quite right. Any ideas? We currently have an original Lloyd Loom set consisting of a beautiful 1920s chair, matching bedside table and ottomon and an oak cot from Mamas and Papas which my sil gave us last week. I have some pretty cream, pink and green curtains, which were actually my bedroom curtains when I was a lass and am thinking of a mini chandelier for the central light. Don't mind painting/renovating the wardrobe if its got the right look about it, but need to find the right one first. Maybe I'm just too picky.

tree i can't seem to see your book... the link just goes to the home page.

chefswife · 12/04/2009 05:16

tree ah, i saw this time. great litle book. your family is lovely.

missjackson · 12/04/2009 09:08

tree great book - lovely to have pregnancy pics in there too!

Welcome to the macbook club ray! What a great present. We are all mac here too, and have macbooks and a big imac which we also use to watch downloaded movies sometimes. There is such a lot you can do with them, but they are also lovely if you just want to use the net and iphoto (which to be honest is all I do really!)

LOL at your tipsy post dog, glad you had a great time!

stripey I have stopped drinking coffee as I was worried it was stopping Nye sleeping during the day - but doesn't seem to make any difference! My Mum said I was the same as a baby, by one year old I had given up all daytime naps! Really hope Nye isn't that bad... he does usually have 3 naps a day, roughly morning, lunch and afternoon, but sometimes they only last 15 minutes - but sometimes a couple of hours at lunch if I'm lucky. My only rule is that if it's after 3pm, he is only allowed half an hour. I always slightly dread the time between 5 and 6.30pm as I am trying to keep him awake but he's usually grouchy by then - at 6.30pm his daddy gives him his bath which he loves, and then it's bed.

We are moving again! (Only moved in here in Dec). Just 1/4 mile away to the other side of the valley, to a barn conversion that gets a lot more sun than we do on this side. Nicer flatter garden too. We can see the barn from our house. Moving date May 9th, am dreading it really as OH will be very busy by then; I am roping my family in to help with packing etc. What a hassle... but will be worth it for long sunny evenings.

happy easter to everybody

missj - i usually drink a little coffee in the morning but it was really noticeable with c yesterday - she was tired but her eyes didn't go all droopy as usual and she wanted to play far later than normal... that you have the energy to move again! we moved into our house about four years ago and i am NEVER moving again... but i think i may be unusually wussy about such things...

dog - really glad you had a good time

we are having my mum and brother around for lunch today. and easter eggs, of course

treedelivery · 12/04/2009 10:36

Hi all - Hhappy Easter

Thanks for looking at the book people - wasn't fishing for compliments, I just think you should all do one [yeah right ] I did one called first 2 years with Jess, it's really nice. Just pics of her big developmental stagesa dn parties, holidays and days out. Really nice.
Photobook £22 - photobox do them, but Boots and loads of places do similar. Photobox have lots of templates so is fun.

I get our pics printed there, they deliver very quickly. Having said that up loading can be a pita if you do it in batches of 200 like me!
Had a rough rough night with poor Harriet in colic land - even made nighttime postin gto mn for moral support.
Hope you all lovely days with family and visitors, me and Hats are off to bed!

Hearty chortles at thedog hope the hangover passes by swiftly!

MissJ - sounds amazing! [green] Very Happy for you! Mutter mutter....[green]

Ray - fabbo pressi's for you, brill. Good luck with the il's.

EachPAQUESPearMum · 12/04/2009 10:39

Will read later- off to Botanical Gardens again for easter egg hunt....

moosemama · 12/04/2009 10:56

Morning, Happy Easter!

Happy Birthday Dog! Love the tipsy typing - you made me giggle!

I've been quite spoiled myself this morning - DH gave me a huge toblerone egg, DS1 gave me a bag of my favourite dark chocolate caramels and DS2 gave me a huge bar of galaxy!

Did I tell you all I won a 20 pound prepaid credit card with the code on my magnum stick the other day - I was really chuffed as I never usually win anything. They are running a draw to win 10, 20 50 or 1,000 pounds every hour at the moment and its free to enter online.

Right, I suppose I should get moving, off to Mum's first for her to give the boys Easter eggs/sweets (always a problem as DS1 hates chocolate, he can't even stand the smell of it), then on to the ILs for lunch and we are all still in PJs!

Anticipating trouble at the ILs actually, as MIL has gone to all the trouble of buying a plastic haribo egg for DS1 and he has recently discovered that haribo contain gelatin (another veggie kid at school told him). We will have to have a word with him before we go, or he will tell her so in no uncertain terms. I'm afraid I've always turned a blind eye to the gelatin thing where the boys are concerned, unless someone specifically asks me what they should buy - otherwise they miss out on all the party bag sweets and sweets given out on birthdays at school and end up getting upset. Now DS1 is old enough he has made his own choice - which is great - but he does tend to bang on about it, not a good reaction when someone has been kind enough to buy you a gift!

moosemama · 12/04/2009 11:02

tree you should refer anyone that wants to do a book, then you'll get 50 free prints when they place their first order. I will let you know when I get round to doing mine and you can refer me.
