I dunno, but I'm bright red and feel sick and shaky. Bleurgh. Have the boiled eyeballs feeling. If anyone gets similar?

Will just mumsnet till it passes

fymmumoftwo · 08/04/2009 21:23

sounds like time to retire to bed .... hope you feel better soon....

Am watching grand designs and falling asleep on the sofa

fymmumoftwo · 08/04/2009 21:23

oh and mumsnetting!

treedelivery · 08/04/2009 21:26

I don't watch grand designs as it makes me feel guilty for not being arsed to hang pictures/paint chipped door frames etc. As these people built castles after work and at weekends.

Am happy in squalid half renovated terrace that leans both to the side and forward.

stripeywoollenhat · 08/04/2009 22:11

we just finally after three and a half years had our bathroom door repaired today - it now closes... grand deesigns it is not

EachPAQUESPearMum · 09/04/2009 00:01

Lenni I think maybe we are twins....

seriously- how is your DD's head now? can you still see the flat bit when her hair is tied up? DD's ears were so out of alignment- and she had one little funny eye where her forehead was all bulgy... makes me tighten up inside thinking about it tbh. Her head wasn't flat... it was trapezium shaped!
We picked up the torticollis at 7 days, which was then sorted through physio, but the paed said her plagio was nothing to worry about and purely cosmetic well thats fine until she wants a cycle helmet, or even needs to wear spectacles....

tree are you okay?

dog do nothing? right.. I suppose you have fairies that care for 3 children day-in, day-out...?

DD is off nursery tomorrow... we're going to shop for her new uniform as she starts her new school after Easter!

treedelivery · 09/04/2009 00:09

hi

tree hope u feel better soon?
any thoughts?
bracken is 12 weeks mon and she is getting to big for moses length and width wise, she sleeps in it in our room.
she will be sharing with dd1 so when she gos in cot will be in together. really want to put her into cot now. was thinking of putting her in after 10:30pm feed

stripeywoollenhat · 09/04/2009 10:44

tink, we are starting to think about the cot too. she is already sleeping in it in the day and it is in our room so not too much of a change. can you put the cot in your room for a few nights so she gets used to it before you move her into another room? (though maybe this isn't necessary, i don't actually know how much they notice really)

tree, hope you are better todaY

treedelivery · 09/04/2009 11:14

Feeling better thanks everyone!

Still wibbly sicky though.

Dd1 has gone off to her nannas and granddads for the day and night - they really look forward to her going. On the other hand she looked a bit sad and I know she would rather be here with me, minus Harriet for big plays. Torn in two

Keep repeating dd2 is not small for long and then I can spread myself more evenly, need to repeeat it daily I think! In some ways I actually can't wait till she is weaned and can go off to roll about on their floor and dd1 and I can have some time out together. Now there's a guilt-o-maker for me.

Tink - our girls will be sharing too! Am quite nevous at the thought as dd2 is just sooooo unsettled. Guess she'll be in our room till she's 10 then

treedelivery · 09/04/2009 12:06

Whoa got the shits again.

Now humming 'here come the piles' to the Boots 'here come the girls' music. Tut.

Postie brought this
this It seems very good.

Also some coordinating dresses for my ladies. Might have to return as bit skint.

Must find softer loo roll

tinkhaseatentoomanyeastereggs · 09/04/2009 12:41

poor u tree

treedelivery · 09/04/2009 14:48

Im good really - just comes and goes. Must do something about these piles though!

Can't be too bad am feeding whilst eating flapjack.

moosemama · 09/04/2009 15:36

Af'ernoon folks

Just a whistle stop as is DS1s birthday tomorrow and have a million and one things I should be doing, but have just sat down for the first time all day (other than feeding dd that is).

Sorry to hear you are poorly Tree hope you're better soon. (Flapjacks are good, oats are good for poorly tummies! )

Finally managed to order DS1s bike last night, nowhere had one to fit him and we were starting to panic, but found one in Halfords at the last minute and can collect it tomorrow evening. Its a black BMX with skull and crossbones on so he is happy.

Have to make his cake this afternoon, he is an absolute chess addict (often beats DH who is a bit as he taught him how to play) so I've bought some cheap plastic chess pieces and am going to do a chess board cake. I've bought a cake decoration sparkler in the shape of a 7 to go on top but feel a bit lazy as I usually do cakes that are much more complicated/impressive.

DS2 has his birthday Saturday after next and he wants a chocolate robot cake! I don't usually mind as I love baking and I always wanted to do celebration cakes for a living (so far the DSs have had a lion complete with shaggy mane, an Easter bunny, an alphabet cake, a retro rocket, a pingu cake, thomas the tank complete with two troublesome trucks filled with chocolate buttons, a triple decker chocolate fudge cake covered in smarties, a lemon shaped lemon drizzle cake, a rainbow cake with rainbow icing and there were more but I can't seem to remember them all!) but I'm just so tired at the moment it seems like extra hard work.

I'm looking forward to doing cakes for DD in the future though, I loved doing cakes for my little sister and did a good line in fairy castles, princesses in ballgowns, horses, my little ponies, four poster beds and even a three tier royal iced cake with a swathe of pink icing roses from top to bottom - at last I get to use pink icing again!

I feel a bit better about it now, after listing all those cakes I've reminded myself how much I enjoy cake decorating. Just remembered some of the cakes I've done for other people as well, including a dungeons and dragons castle with moat for DH's brother, Badjelly the Witch cake for my older sister, ticky time bomb for DH complete with indoor firework for fuse , huge green and purple fire breathing dragon for my older sisters exH, a vw camper for DH and a couple of wedding cakes. The list goes on and yet I don't seem to do many cakes these days as my kitchen isn't really set up for it.

Sorry ignore me rambling on and reminiscing.

moosemama · 09/04/2009 15:37

Whistle stop! Good grief, I don't half waffle on!

Right, really must go and make that cake!
