Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
TheNatty · 13/03/2009 09:49

lol ive had that problem lately jammy!
the other day i had to take nappies for ellen, wipes, wet bag for nappies, spare trousers and pants for tom, travel potty, liners for travel potty, food, drinks, and ellen wanted her doll so of course tom wanted his teddy (which they both discarded about half hour into the day )
i had to take TWO bags.

my god.

and i must admit it was lovely to go downstairs to a clean living room this morning

Ohforfoxsake · 13/03/2009 13:49

Thanks Mr Daisy. Glad Daisy is doing as well as can be expected.

Just time to flick the duster round then...

at at Mr Daisy

LackaDAISYcal · 13/03/2009 14:06

I'm home!

Battered and bruised and a bit sore, and still quite googly eyed from the drugs (morphine rocks...well once I had stopped throwing up that is)

We all survived the night although bumble is poorly again and there was a slight miscommunication about when Mr D was bringing him in to me this morning so queue hysterical phone call from mad drugged woman with bursting boobs which was intercepted by MIL who tried to tell me he had been "to be fair, a little busy" to which I went a bit hyper . Blame the drugs, the hormones from engorged boobs, and the fact that I was missing my little man. Ah well, another thing for her to tut at me about.

My lovely neighbour bought me some flowers and I have a fab home made card from the DC courtesy of DS1.

Food in there looked fab, but I couldn't eat anything as I threw up every time I tried......and carpets in hospital rooms....just felt wrong, a bit like carpet in bathrooms!!!

and I did bring the neutrogena toiletries home with me.....should I start an AIBU thread about it?

Ohforfoxsake · 13/03/2009 14:40

how shit. Someone to finally cook for you and you can't eat it!

Welcome home Daisy. Glad Mr D coped - did he have MIL helping him out then?

Now, you take it easy Mrs. You NEED TO REST.

LackaDAISYcal · 13/03/2009 15:00

pils came to do school run and to look after DD. so yes cheating a bit ...but they have tidied up the front garden and the wee bit at the side of the house and introduced DD to gardening.
my laptop is fucked [saD]. i'm using DH's eepc which is just freakishly small. I'm blaming DH as it was fine when I left it. it's gonna cost £100 to get a data recovery done

and i found out today that there are going to be some job losses at work. fingers crossed my job is one as we have insurance for that eventuality and the mortgage will be covered for a year!!

ahhhhh bless DD. she just let out a huge trump and when i said her name she smiled and said pardon

poor bumble isn't well at all. ears are still sore and doctor is an arse, although he has grudgingly agreed to see him this evening.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/03/2009 15:41

Glad to see you home Daisy . Glad the family survived too. Just make sure you take it easy for a bit [wags finger].

Hectic day swimming and red nose funning with jamlet. We are both worn out. But docs appointment for me at 4.30 so out again in a while.

LittleMissNorty · 13/03/2009 15:45

Glad all is well Daisy....with you anyway . Sorry about Bumble....hope you get some ABs for him.

I took DD to doctors this morning. She had a rash yesterday to which I thought, oh, viral rash, no problem. This morning, fever, rash much worse, refused all food, laid on the sofa with blanket and dummy refusing to lift her head.....OMG....the doctors said "oh sorry, no appointments till Monday"....mmmmm.....needless to say, I had worked myself up by then and they agreed to see her today.....spent 20 seconds in the consulting room.....viral rash he said and then turned away and started typing .....I have a fucking arse of a GP as well Daisy

What's up with the laptop Daisy?

DS has had 3 babygro's on within 30 minutes....no wonder I've got so much bloody washing.

DH out tonight at a works do.....so what sort of take-away do I have......

LittleMissNorty · 13/03/2009 15:48

morphine is good stuff isn't it - I had it after my section. However, after 24 hours its co-codamol.....I begged them for more morphine but they weren't having any of it

Shit, in the space of one post, he's puked again and needs changing AGAIN

Ohforfoxsake · 13/03/2009 16:25

What every you get Norty, get double and have it tomorrow as well.

(We used to do this frequently, it is a serious suggestion BTW!)

Daisy, hint that you may have another baby - that redundancy payment will be yours

LackaDAISYcal · 13/03/2009 16:31

when i switched off on wed it was doing an autmatic update. when dh switched it said it wanted to do a disk scan but he bypassed it to post last night. he said it took three goes of switching on and off before he was able to log in so no idea what was going on. anyway, when i booted it up earlier, it ran the disk scan then i got the log in screen in the normal way. when i tried to log in it is saying that i need to reinstall windows.

and guess who never made recovery disks when she got her new laptop last year?

anyway I've called pcworld and they have said that some windows updates are treated as hostile by any spyware software that's loaded on the pooter and that by bypassing the disk scan process has corrupted the system . It's all greek to me. Anyhoo have to take it into pcworld and hope that i haven't lost all my files and photos......although most of them are backed up and the ones that aren't are still on my camwera.

can't type on this teeny keyboard though.

LackaDAISYcal · 13/03/2009 16:36

lol norty at the babygros....DH thinks, after a day of looking after bumble, paper suits for babies are the way forward.

We got some bipistuff bandana bibs which catch most of the puke and limit the frequency of changes. They're a bit pricey but wirth it for the saving on laundry and look reallly cute.

LittleMissNorty · 13/03/2009 16:36

I used to do that with an Indian....buy loads and have some the next night.....can't eat curry atm cos of my gall bladder....

could get a huge pizza and have enough for lunch for everyone tomorrow....mmmmm

Been through 2 more sets of clothes since last post

Ohh we have comic relief emoticons

LittleMissNorty · 13/03/2009 16:39

Oh they are lovely bibs....going to have to get a couple of those!

we get through muslins galore here....I've changed twice today already as well....I have given up now and will sit in puke covered clothes.

He was in the bath at 6.45 this morning as well as he'd had a massive poo and it was all down his legs ...

Men eh....never had all this with DD

LackaDAISYcal · 13/03/2009 16:47

oh norty, I hope you can get your op soon. i'm having a celebratory chinese tonight (and had buttery tost earlier and a bag of minstrels) and feeling guilty now

DS1 is wearing the massage stocking things I had on in the hospital.....fab things that self inflated and deflated to keep my circulation moving. He thinks they are robot legs

LittleMissNorty · 13/03/2009 16:58

I haven't even been back to GP to re-refer myself yet...so will be a while....a proper curry is the only thing I really miss though. I do eat most things except that and cream of any description. But my stones aren't quite as acute as yours. They are sludgy I think so pain is less frequent and stones don't take as long to pass.....still fucking painful though.

Glad its been done and you obviously feel pretty good! Just take it easy. Enjoy the Chinese.

DS is asleep....he can't puke in his sleep surely!

LackaDAISYcal · 13/03/2009 17:02

DH has gone out to docs with bumble and DD is playing up. I think she senses that I'm helpless to stop her running amok. she is having a huge tantrum as I won't let her have the ear thermometer.

ah well.....

Ohforfoxsake · 13/03/2009 19:53

Comic Relief is looking up ....

not been a massive David Tennant fan before

LittleMissNorty · 13/03/2009 19:55

Evening ....DH is out, DD in bed asleep, DS in swing puking happily, I'm waiting for my pizza to be delivered and the dog is sitting by the front door wining for his daddy

David Tennant is not bad....bit skinny for me

TheNatty · 13/03/2009 20:38

ive not caught up.

anyone about?
my scan was not brill i have to go back in three weeks, too much waters

Ohforfoxsake · 13/03/2009 20:41

aw Natty, I saw on FB you were going today.

What does that mean for you? What are the implications?

TheNatty · 13/03/2009 20:49

that i could have gestantional diabetes, that the baby could have a heart defect or someting like downs or edwards syndrome.

or it could be nothing.

ive got to go back in three weeks, if its still high then they will look into it.

but if its still high i could go into labour early, i will have to have a section in case the pressure of the extra water makes my scar rupture.

basically, i wanted an uninterferred with pregnancy and labour

fat bloody chance now!

Ohforfoxsake · 13/03/2009 20:51

Would it be reassuring to start a thread on this? I'd bet money on there being 1001 stories of a positive outcome.

Consultants ARE scary.

I won't say try not to worry, because I've been there, but I'd say try to hold onto the positives. All of it are 'could's and 'if's.

What happens next?

LackaDAISYcal · 13/03/2009 20:57

I love DT, but comic relief is dullsville itself so far. The outnumbered segment was a bit forced and not very funny I thought.....but maybe I'm just humourless tonight.

bumble has a viral thing apparently. We've got his temp down with a combo of paracetomol and nurofen and he now has really squitty nappies.

DH is losing his voice and doing that pathetic "I'm iller than you" man thing, sighing theatrically when he has to pick the baby up for me or change a nappy. I love my DH and he is more hands on than lots of dads, but wtf is it with the illness thing? Whenever I have something wrong, he has something else that's worse....i just want to slap him

TheNatty · 13/03/2009 20:59

scan in three weeks. then tests for diabetes. if that negative im going for amnio.
if there is a problem i need to know.

Ohforfoxsake · 13/03/2009 21:00

what about a CVS now?
