Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
keepingitRia · 05/03/2009 08:49

and I might have some of DS2s shoes squirrelled away somewhere that would fit DS?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/03/2009 08:50

Morning all. Sorry for your [anger] Ria, I know how you feel (I didn't go to bed early the other night and we had the row.)

Well it's not yet 9 o'clock and I've folded dry washing, hung up wet washing, put another load on, done the dishwasher, cleaned the kitchen, swept the floors and tidied the dining room. And jamlet is now waking up from her nap, so just as well. How can it still be so early though?

keepingitRia · 05/03/2009 08:57

goodness knows Jammy.
DH brought baggins down and ... went back to bed. PAH! If he is not up by 9.30 I will start banging doors/hoovering/hammering/drilling, or something
thanks for reminding me I need to turn the washer on - I keep forgetting with it being pulled out and stuck in the middle of the kitchen

TheNatty · 05/03/2009 09:04

ria thats really kind i will check the sizes, i think tom is an 8 and ellen might be a 6?
but i will check!
im off out now tho, tom has his SN group in crystal palace wont be back till dinner probally. have a good day all

LittleMissNorty · 05/03/2009 09:15

Morning

Blimey Jammy ...I'm still trying to motivate myself to do anything. Have fed both DCs and thats it! DD watching Balamory before her nap.

Natty, I'm sitting here in front of my new tax credit notice and at the bottom it says "If your payments have gone down and this means you cannot mean your essential living expenses, please contact us as we may be able to make extra payments". Worth a go?

I love Crystal Palace park.....used to live pretty close to there.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/03/2009 09:16

morning all. Not much change her painwise and I'm hungry but too scared to eat as everytime I do it steps up a gear again.

But, was asleep by 10 last night and bumble slept till 3.30 so I had a good night relatively speaking, even though he was up every hour and a hlaf after that and was awake at 6.30 singing. Praise be, he has found his voice . tis quite cute actually, just not at 6.30am.

JAmmy, have you been to the doc about your mega period? That sounds exhausting. Make sure you are taking some fybogel or something to keep your iron/energys level up.

sean bean is on breakfast news this morning....my god he looks rough!

DH did the school run again, but I suspect he is getting a bit fed up with me. We have a bit of competitive illness going on as his gonads are still sore bless him. He is taking the martyr line tough, with lots of sighing and wincing and limping around and if I ask if he is OK I get a "not really" and if I ask has he taken painkillers, "no". Ah well, no bloody sympathy then!

LittleMissNorty · 05/03/2009 09:20

My husband is a martyr to pain as well Daisy ....If I'm in pain like that, he always says to me (especially atm ) "I've got a cure for that"....perhaps you should ask him if he fancies a shag?

You've obviously got another stone passing through....you poor thing. Hope you get on with consultant today and get a date very soon.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/03/2009 09:23

I have an appointment next Friday, Daisy. The doctor I normally see is really popular and busy, so it'll be 3.5 weeks between making the appointment and going to see her, but I think it's worth the wait to see a doctor I know and trust, and it happened to be at a time that was convenient and didn't interrupt the things we normally do. I'm sure it's because of the mini-pill I'm taking. Just been reading up on it and it seems there are a few reasons I shouldn't be on it anyway (It was originally prescribed by a diiferent doctor ). So am considering stopping it and going back to the diaphragm?

TheNatty · 05/03/2009 09:25

fuckin hell

they have just rang me to tell me that they have moved the location (crystal palace, one bus) to croydon which takes me three hours to get to by public transport. the group is at 12. they rang me at 9.10.

arseholes, tom is devistated

LackaDAISYcal · 05/03/2009 09:34

have you thought about a coil jammy? mirena coil ususally means no period!

lol norty. The very thought of anything like that at the minute leaves me cold. I keep offering to perform DH's favourite sex act though......storing up my offers so that he can't say I never do

My weight loss is going apace though; another five pounds off this week

LackaDAISYcal · 05/03/2009 09:35

poor tom. Is there nothing closer to you natty?

LackaDAISYcal · 05/03/2009 09:36

or can you set off now and accept you will be a wee bit late?

LittleMissNorty · 05/03/2009 09:37

Think I'm going to go for the coil.....

If I made offers like that, he'd take me up on it.......regardless

All that weight loss can't be any good for bf'ing can it Daisy

LackaDAISYcal · 05/03/2009 09:46

Everything I've read says that your body needs to be on the verge of starvation before it adversely affects your milk norty, as the body will use up it's reserves first (and let's be honest, I have reserves aplenty )....but I certainly feel that my supply isn't as good as it was before all this started, and bumble feeding every two hours through each attack kind of backs it up. Not sure what I can do about it though.

farking kids are driving me bonkers. bumble crying and unsettled, DD into everything she shouldn't be and then whinging. I just want to sit on the sofa and be ill dammit.

keepingitRia · 05/03/2009 14:12

would you like to borrow some of my excess weight daisy? I can spare some... I'm would think if 3rd World mothers can BF you'll be ok for a bit? I think my DH would have to be unconscious to not want to do anything like that.

I am going out tonight. serves me right for taking the piss Dsis has had a couple of people cancel at her "WAGS" do, so she asked me. SO long as I keep my gob shut I should get through it without embarrassing her. Bugger knows what I'm going to wear though... have done a quick local charity shop trawl this morning and bought some brand new black linen trousers with embroidery and sequins round the ankles. Sadly no tops at all in my size, not even tasteless ones, so will have to do with something out of my wardrobe.

bugger for your trek across London Natty.

Hi norty. Baggins likes balamory & that bloody smiley woman. And Mr Tumble

TheNatty · 05/03/2009 16:19

well i took him to cystal palace park anyway and we went in the playground and had a picnic.
there was no way i would have made it to croydon we werent even dressed when she rang as i hadnt needed to leave until 10.30

oh well tom was happy enough as i left ellen at home (with DH of course) and we had a "special mummy and tom day" to make up for the lack of group.
three weeks he hasnt gone now, and he is playing me up no end for it.

oh well another week of hell! what the hey!

sorry you feeling rough daisy and ur DC and being naughty, when are you off out or have you already gone?

hope everyone else is ok

off to cook order dinner

LackaDAISYcal · 05/03/2009 17:31

bloody hell, what a difference an insurance policy makes! Saw the consultant, who talked me through the operation with pictures and everything, explained all the risks etc, had a prod around and said he would get his secretary to call me tomorrow with a date, and will tell her it's a priority as I'm very symptomatic, then......

.....gave me his mobile number and said if I have another bad attack to call him and he will arrange to get me in immediately, get my pain under control and then operate the same day . You don't get service like that on the NHS!

He said they would prefer to keep me in overnight, and you know thinking about it in the PO queue, I'm coming round to the idea of being in swanky private hospital overnight all on my tod and getting some decent rest rather than being up and down to bumble all night, especially post operatively. OK, formula not ideal, but it's not like I'm giving it cos I fancy the night off. We'll see what they say.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/03/2009 17:50

trousers sound nice Ria....enjoy your evening, and just be yourself as you are lovely . If your sister is embarrased by you, then it's her problem!!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/03/2009 18:09

I've no idea why I've just remembered (while watching ITNG) but I had a dream last night with Ria in it!

Enjoy your evening Ria

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/03/2009 18:14

Well fingers crossed that you get treated v soon Daisy. And a night in will prob do you good. I'm sure Bumble will cope with formula for a night. Sometimes with the best will in the world, other things just have to take priority.

Ohforfoxsake · 05/03/2009 18:27

Good to hear things are happening Daisy.

Have a nice night Ria.

At least things turned out OK and you got time with Tom Natty. Enjoy your take-out - did you get some money sorted then? Sounds like a pretty good day after all.

Hi Jammy.

Am being 'patted' by LO to put ITNG on the pc so am off

TheNatty · 05/03/2009 18:54

no we ordered it using DH's Cheque guarentee card... naughty as no money in it till he gets his bonus at the end of the month, but both me and dh shattered, and bugger all in the cupboards.

daisy that sounds fantastic, so pleased for you.
and one night wont mean much, bumble wont remember, and its not like your out on the razz or anything

let us know when your going in

Bumperslucious · 05/03/2009 19:13

Hello

Good news about the hospital daisy, what a relief. Can you express for bumble?

Hope you have a fab night out Ria.

I am being crucified on an AIBU thread, I shouldn't have started one I know, but I can't take it back now It's the neighbours laying carpets one if you want to see a floored woman being knocked down.

Ohforfoxsake · 05/03/2009 19:27

Oh shit bumper. You can't go out there you know. Its not safe.

Natty, you gotta do what you gotta do! Its crap now shops don't take cheques anymore. The only way I could survive was knowing cheques took 3 days to clear. There are people out there doing far worse than anticipating their salary Enjoy!

I'll go on your thread and shout at the nasty people. I'm in the mood for a scrap and DP is on his way home....

FrazzledFairyFay · 05/03/2009 19:43

Daisy, imho you should stay over-night. Surgery is a big deal and you need to get at least one night's proper sleep to recover. Getting up and down all night to bumble will not give you that recovery time. A night of formula/ebm will not hurt.

My lovely Dh is home for three days next week and has told me he thinks I need a break from the DCs so wants me to go away. I was going to go to London for 3 nightd and go to some museums, meet a friend for dinner, read magazines, sleep, etc..... but now he's suggested I go away and had found a reasonably priced 4 night break to Tenerife that he's suggested I book. Pre-children I travelled extensively on my own with no qualms at all, but the thought of this is making me feel all nervous. Am I being silly?
