When you look at someone's page, there is a white box near the top. just type in there.

madmouse · 28/02/2009 21:05

LaT 'home' has bits and pieces from your friends as a news feed so you can see what is going on with them.

'profile' is where you live, like your home page.

But if someone writes on your wall and you reply it ends up on theirs too.

If you write on the wall of someone who is not my friend I can only see their reply, as it is on your wall, I cannot see theirs as I cannot see their wall

if you comment on a photo everyone else who sees that photo sees your comment, ditto if you comment on someone's status.

if you want to write something private always use message facility under inbox

(reminds me I need to send you one, I had a dream about my mother, weird)

Now tell me, does that make things better or worse?

LaTrucha · 28/02/2009 21:13

You see Madmouse, that's why you're a better facebooker than me. I was tuning out by the third line down!

No, really, I understand. Really. I do. SO when you go to FB do you go to your 'home' or your 'profile'?

LaTrucha · 28/02/2009 21:15

I have a feeling I could actually live my lif eon line if it weren't for Sabela! And DH being away of course. I just can't keep up with everything!

My typing is definitely going to get worse....

Lilyloo · 28/02/2009 21:17

Scared to really get into FB tbh as i have no time now , my children will be neglected to a lifetime of fruit shoots and greggs pasties

OP posts:
madmouse · 28/02/2009 21:21

first to the chat box to see which of my mates are online, then to home to see what they have been up to and then to profile if I need to change my status or upload something.

madmouse · 28/02/2009 21:22

must say being a clergyman's widow wife means i am home bound every evening as he has meeting meetings and er meetings, so for me it is a life saver. i never watch telly in the evening

Hello all, just checking in to get thread active, drifted over half term and haven't made it back on yet. Have not had time to read so hope everyone OK and will try to get up to speed

Gingeme · 01/03/2009 10:18

Morning ladies.
looks like you all had a fab time yesterday and the weather was kind
Edward is much better today He has had a small bowl of Shreddies and two cups of flat Lukozade and is curently resting in his bed watching CBeebies. Had a better night too.
Happy St Davids day xx

LaTrucha · 01/03/2009 10:36

Oh St David's day! Oh to be in Wales.

Wales is a special kind of place. When I first went there I was a bit taken aback by all the nationalism, but one St David's day I was at school and it was my first St David's day assembly. We have harp playing, three choirs and prayers. We came out of the hall and it was a beautiful moring, the hill the school is on, tumbling away to the see, Cardigan bay bright in the sunshine and a faint mist over the sea. Absoultely gorgeous.

Lilyloo- so annoying abou the car! MAkes me feel like never getting one.... DH wants one, you see.

Gingeme - glad E better. Have you got over yesterday?

Madmouse - I never watch TV either really. Although I wouldn't mind a good old british murder mystery!

Hi Housemum! good half term?

simpson · 01/03/2009 11:36

Hi all

Fab news on new car lilyloo fingers X on the old one getting MOT

Lucky - where are you??

Gingeme - Glad Edward on the mend

Hi to housemum

DD just building up to nap time whinge I think!! She is creeping round house whinging clutching soggy piece of toast. She has had this piece of toast in her hand for ages but no sign of eating it but refusing to give it up!!

madmouse · 01/03/2009 12:13

LaT you sound a bit homesick there, you ok?

I think Lucky was staying over with A, so may not be back yet.

Ginge glad Edward is on the mend

LaTrucha · 01/03/2009 12:29

Yes I'm fine thanks. TBH I would always rather be at home, but it's best notto encourage me in these sentiments.

Gingeme · 01/03/2009 13:39

Afternoon ladies.
Simpson soggy toast yum
LaT I couldn't live anywhere than London. Tried it for a few years with the exp in Cambridge and hated it. I'm talking the realy rural parts of Cambridge though. Even worked in a veg factory for a while Though saying that if we ever won the lottery or my premium bonds came up we'd consider moving to Tenerife.
Edward has had a packet of Quavers and half a honey sandwich. So far so good Still looks washed out though
Hi housemum
George walks more than he crawls now. Even trying to run at times I'm sure he thinks hes as big as his brothers already

simpson · 01/03/2009 15:38

Well Molly has slept for 3hrs today and totally missed lunch

However she is quite happy and as I type eating her first ever sausage which is going down very well

Fragolina · 01/03/2009 16:14

Please tell me the whinging is just a phase! Full melt down going on - have give her a five minute calm time in cot. emergency wine called for.

simpson · 01/03/2009 16:31

Frag - enjoy the wine!!

Sorry to hear about whinging...DD a big time whinger here so you are not alone

Although she has been quite good today

JustKeepSwimming · 01/03/2009 19:30

Hey all, missed some stuff, glad some are feeling better, hope others are feeling better soon.

Had an OK day, H up at 4.10, then back to bed, T up at 5.10. H then not up till 9.30!!!
T in big trouble with a very cross mummy.

Parents went after lunch, sent DH out with T while H & I napped.

Then we went out to Frankie & Bennys for tea together instead of a roast. yum, but more bad for my diet.
Last few days:
fri - Chinese takeaway & wine
sat - Nando's & wine when i got home
sun - F&B & one glass of red now.

Can't imagine my Wii Fit will look good tomorrow

Weekends go by so fast don't they? didn't get most of the jobs i wanted to done but hey ho....

Oh and tbh, i would live abroad at the drop of a hat, esp having grown up abroad.
But dh's job is here, so no chance of moving anyway.

oh and Mooncup Q - do you have a bath with it in? i have twice and found i've leaked loads after, then when i've checked it, it's full of bathwater & tmi, sorry.
Should i not bath when i'm using it???

madmouse · 01/03/2009 20:09

come on JKS you did not eat that much at Nandos and we did a bit of walking didn't we?

I had sore feet. Purple Planet-station-Nando-park-station-purple planet-tesco. glad I was wearing trainers!

JustKeepSwimming · 01/03/2009 20:13

I know i was relatively good at nando's, and walked a bit.
and resisted junk food at service station on the way up.

am getting better at saying no to things, just need to watch out for the treats/meals out.

AngeChica · 01/03/2009 21:03

The meet-up looked great! lake district just about doable for a day here MM.

been quite trying w/e - trying to keep DS out of way of men at work included a slightly nightmarish trip to Ikea today (!)

Al been very whingy too (it's catching) - he's not usually that bad at all in the whinging stakes. He slept badly at friends' last night then when brushing teeth saw his nasty sore gum cutting another molar I fear.

we have knocked kitchen and dining room together and putting new, much bigger kitchen in Frag. Looking good so far....

working 4 days this week .

madmouse · 01/03/2009 21:28

Ange maybe we and any other Northern lasses can get together in Carlisle?

Gingeme · 01/03/2009 21:31

JKS why are you dieting? You look just fine love Can't think why your mc would be full of bath water only that your not inserting it properly or far up enough. Thats the thing I love most is bathing and swimming with it Did you get the right size?
Edward has done brilliant today eating wise. Getting them ready fo bed tonight and David says he has a tummy ache and runs to the toilet. He has diorrhea . Looks like theyll all be home tommorrow.
If hes not too bad were going to go and book our holiday can't wait. Certainly need one I can tell you.
Right quick bath then off to bed.
Night all xxx

Lilyloo · 01/03/2009 21:34

Gingeme just going to say glad E seems better but now D

JKS agree you absolutely dont need to diet at all!

Although feeling very unhealthy as had chinese take away last night and went to McDonalds today!!!
