Sponge that's fantastic! So, further along, or twins...

parofleurmapu · 03/03/2009 17:11

x posted Sponge Ill second Ah and give you a hug xxxx

PenguinProject · 03/03/2009 17:20

Hello - thought I'd pop in as Amber just send me a lovely email.

I haven't been able to keep up and the way things are at the moment, gave up trying. Sorry - nothing personal to anyone. It's just that the PND has got a lot worse. I've been off work for 6 weeks now and can't see me going back on Monday...

I know this is going to sound silly, but logic and my feelings are on two different planets right now. I know logically not being able to keep up with the posts on here does not make me a failure, but I feel like one none the less so have been giving MN a bit of a rest.

I have just had a quick scan though...

Thank you for missing me AliP.

Sponge - Really hope everything is ok. I bled when preg and remember how terrifying it was, but if sheer will can make everything ok then with the power of this thread behind you, you will be fine.

Essie - I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling rubbish too. Hope the counselling helps. Rolf - I can second that Essie's Lin & Leo bag is gorgeous.

Josey - Great news about the appointment.

I will be back!

PenguinProject · 03/03/2009 17:23

X-posted - Great news Sponge!

spongebrainbigpants · 03/03/2009 17:32

Thanks for the hugs .

paro, your wedding sounds cool!

PP, so sorry to hear about the PND . Sending hugs your way too.

Starting to freak a little actually. Is Thursday too early? What if I don't see a heartbeat?

I can't wait though. I need to know.

Rolf · 03/03/2009 17:37

Good luck on Thursday Sponge. Not sure how early they can get a heartbeat. But even if they can't it will give a benchmark for measuring progress at the next scan.

PP so sorry your PND is worse. I hope you're getting plenty of support.

I've started a thread asking if anyone knows where I can get the Lin & Leo bag for under £159, so if anyone has any suggestions, let me know please . I've had a look round tinternet with no success.

neenztwinz · 03/03/2009 17:49

ebay Rolf? What about a discount voucher code? Which shop sells them?

Sponge, yey!!! 'Further along or twins' !!!!! You might not see a HB on Thurs but that doesn't mean there won't ever be one (or two), just means it's too early. Scans are so scary yet you want to have one every day! It will be fine, don't worry. Now that your body has made a baby already it knows what to do so keep the faith.

PP, I know what you mean about this thread, sometimes if I have not been on for a few days I almost don;t want to come back cos there are always too many posts to read! Hope things pick up for you soon [hug]

DebInAustria · 03/03/2009 17:57

Sponge - only time to skim read today but your results sound very positive, can't wait for Thursday. You know we'll all be thinking of you.

PP - sorry to hear about the PND, (((hugs)))

Josey - so pleased about your appointment with consultant.

Hi to everyone else, still all full of cold here apart from Tristan, I sent Stefan back to school today and he was sent home at lunchtime!

spongebrainbigpants · 03/03/2009 17:59

Lol at the twins - we've already had a scan remember? ONE pg sac quite clear on the screen!

abdnhiker · 03/03/2009 18:15

PP please don't feel like you need to keep up here! You've got a lot on your plate and we'd love to have you just drop in when you get a chance and don't worry about reading every post.

PiggyPenguin · 03/03/2009 18:46

But surely you can get identical twins who share a sac though Sponge? Rare, but possible I think. It all adds to the excitment for the rest of us!

PiggyPenguin · 03/03/2009 18:53

Ok, have now just checked this out and apparently monoamniotic twins (one sac) have greater risks of complications than normal twins as they get tangled in each others cords. Its also really really rare so I think we will have to accept that there probably is just one sponglet. Can't wait until thursday!!!

spongebrainbigpants · 03/03/2009 19:10

Lol, sybil, are you going to be opening a book on this?!

I'll be more than happy with one spongelet!

bitofadramaqueen · 03/03/2009 19:28

Poppy - I've worn black to loads of weddings and always been fine. Normally have a wee splash of colour somewhere but have done straightforward black too.

Way too much other chat to keep up sorry. Am back in study mode ATM.

Wave to PP tho

Amberc · 03/03/2009 19:35

What time on Thursday is your scan sponge? I want to make sure I log in from work. We all want to go through the pregnancy with you!!

spongebrainbigpants · 03/03/2009 19:53

9.30am, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to post - it depends when I get the chance to get to a PC! Although, I have your phone no so can always text you and you could post!

Essie3 · 03/03/2009 20:01

Rolf impossible to get on e-bay but Blooming marvellous do them, and you can get various discounts there - sometimes up to 20%

Crying baby must go

Amberc · 03/03/2009 20:11

I would be happy to post for you sponge if you wanted me to!

spongebrainbigpants · 03/03/2009 20:16

Don't worry if I forget to text you - might be a bit brain dead by Thursday morning!

josey · 03/03/2009 21:17

Sponge how exciting Thursday WOW! cant wait to share it all with you(though wouldnt complain if you didnt share the morning sickness)

PP hugs, PND is awful, what I find the hardest is when Depression is mentioned it is general thought you sit in PJs for weeks on end now showering and leaving your baby to scream in a different room! Its the panic feeling of failing and not succeeding or doing enough or the right thing the envelopes me till I can't breath. With DS I didnt suffer depression as such just panic attacks about leaving the house. I often cant catch up here, so make my excuses and just join in where I can, I dont mean to be rude or anything.

Anyway Im exhausted tucked up in bed, think I might sleep tonight after having a the 1st possitive meeting re Oli in 9months, I do apologies for being a bit over excited this morning, just was just as fab as winning the lotto....Josey scuttles off sobbing at how wonderful her little girl has been against all odds nite nite, luv to you all and thank you for the support xx

neenztwinz · 03/03/2009 21:33

Never apologise for being giddy about Oli!

bitofadramaqueen · 03/03/2009 21:37

Great to hear you had a good meeting re Oli Josey.

Good luck with scan on thur sponge.

vivaGlasvegas · 03/03/2009 21:42

Hi all, have just read a whole two days posts and no time to reply now, just marking my place!

fingers crossed for Thursday, Sponge!

will try and catch up properly tomorrow...

DebInAustria · 04/03/2009 06:39

morning all, how is everyone?

abdnhiker · 04/03/2009 07:07

friggan exhausted! But I've got an easy day planned so it's all okay. (Church coffee morning this morning with a bunch of other women and mine will be the only kids there as everyone elses are in school. I'm counting on a lot of helping hands...)
