aaarrrgggghhhh - ds been awake ages!

Could be that she has a bit of teething pain when she feeds on other side hmm. Just keep offering.

hedgepig · 17/02/2009 06:05

morning CSWS O has been awake since 4:30 and has just concked out, is it worth me going back to bed??

star6 · 17/02/2009 08:22

dh having a fab time at home with Q this week. Every morning, he will wake at around 5.30am and then I feed him at 7am just before I leave (been leaving a bit later this week, since I can!!) and put him back down to sleep in his cot. Yesterday he slept until 9.30! So dh got a nice lie in.

honeymoon - I think teething perhaps as well. Q gnaws on my nipples at the moment to soothe his gums... great, just as they were starting to feel better...

star6 · 17/02/2009 08:29

I hope you did go back to bed hedgepig!!
csws you canNOT catch a break with sleeping! I'm so sorry for you! When was the last time you had a proper night's sleep??

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/02/2009 08:37

Errrm - 3 years ago?

No, I had some reasonable nights when pregnant, and am sure I've managed 6 hours a couple of times since ds was born.

OP posts:
aubergenie · 17/02/2009 08:55

I wondered whether it could be teething too, Honeymoon. Ds is getting really restless and using my boob as a teether, I think.

Smudgey, I think I read that a slow cooker uses the same amount of energy as a light bulb. We've got one of those electricity monitor things and when our oven is on, it is scary how much energy it uses.

Hedgepig and CSWS I hope you managed to get back to sleep.

star6 · 17/02/2009 08:57

now I want a slow cooker!! Maybe it will inspire me to actually... COOK!
someone tell me an easy veggie slow cooker yummy recipe that they love

heather1980 · 17/02/2009 09:36

morning ladies.
csws- i can sympathise, alex is still up every 2 hours in the night and only slept for about 40 min total yesterday in the daytime. sleepy mummy emoticon

i love my slow cooker, i like to have extra to freeze for the days i can't be bothered.

i think alex is teething i can feel 2 teeth under his gums at the front, he was so bothered last night that i cracked open the calpol and he was much more settled after that. poor wee fella.

They're both nice Myjob, but I've a funny feeling I've read a MN review of the chicco one and there were enough negatives to put me off it - sorry if its the one you've chosen!!
Poppy in a terrible mood today, projectile vomit for only the 3/4th time ever, cheeks flushed and altho fed for 40 mins from the right side at 5 this morning is refusing it now. You may be right about teething. I've put a call into the doc cos the drugs don't seem to be working.
She has her second set of injections this afternoon too!!!
She only stopped crying this morning when we walked round with her, its like we've regressed by weeks.

Apologies Myjob, the review is fine, must've been thinking of another one!!

Just had phone consultation with doc, the good one who worked at Alder Hey, during a horrific screaming session with Poppy, she's back on the gaviscon on top of the others. Apparently she's on max dose of renitidine and domperidon for her weight. She's just had her first gav and is feeding now (left side again, didnt have heart to offer her the right)

He said if that doesn't work as soon as she hits 4 months we need to consider weaning, he said the link to asthma is a myth. I'm gonna do more internet research.

I just feel so bad for her, she was really screaming for at least 30 mins straight. I feel like crying

Thanks Myjob x She's just finished feeding - both sides - and is asleep now. Poor mite.

heather1980 · 17/02/2009 17:57

myjob, i have the chicco one but in a different design. i have the one with the pink circles on but i don't think they make that one anymore. i like it but it is huge when up and when folded its quite small but if you leave the tray attached it's massive iyswim it sticks out so much.
all ok here today, not been up to much, except we went to my sisters and alex did the biggest poo and it was everywhere! up his back and down his legs, he had a huggies on coz all my cloth were in the wash, luckily he was in a snow suit so didn't matter that he had no clothes on!

pistachio I love that photo at the bottom of your pictures page! So adorable!
Q goes to bed every night now between 6.30-7.15pm and he's down for night - he wakes a few times in the night and I have to put the pacifier in or pat his bum a bit, but he falls back to sleep. I'm just now learning that I don't have to go to bed at 6.30pm! . I was jumping at the opportunity to sleep, but now I realize that he will keep sleeping, so I can stay up a bit and MN get some work done

I'm bored of researching early weaning. God I reeeeally don't want to have to wean early.

However, I just found out something interesting - a study has shown that laughter produces more meltonin which reduces the chances of excema - so get the comedy DVD's out girls! www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17540228?ordinalpos=20&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_Results Panel.Pubmed_DefaultReportPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum

Pistachio - count yourself lucky - we've not had POppy in a sleepsuit since about 4 weeks - she keeps getting her legs out of them being a long thin baby then cant get her legs back in! We bought all sizes before she was born!
