thanks everyone! I will start a thread. That sounds like a good plan. I didn't mention he had his second round of jabs on Wednesday... it all started happening after that - he did have a temperature and was a bit ill, so maybe it's just a normal reaction to jabs?

star6 · 14/02/2009 09:11

sorry to hear that ekka! yuck. CSWS - you have not properly slept since D was born! I can't imagine! I do not know how you are coping. You need a little sleep holiday.

Honeymoonmummy · 14/02/2009 09:54

Hi all, Happy Valentines Day! Why are there no Valentines smileys????

Heather - have a nice holiday!

Star - Poppy had a tiny bit of blood in her vomit due to the reflux, it doesn't sound like the same thing, I would definitely be back on to the doctors if I were you. I vaguely remember reading something like this when I was searching for threads after the above happpened, I'll try to find it for you.

Loulou, I'm so glad the BF necklace worked, I'm going to get one, did you order it from that link? I'm wondering whether to get one with bells on, I already feel like a cow as it is (I'm actually in my cow-print PJ's at the moment which Poppy LOVES!) Plus the bells might wake them up?

Ekka that sounds awful. Good luck to you for the hospital and I hope DS gets better soon.

Smudgey - I love the word 'rotund'

Poppy is still being sick after 3 full days on the meds, she's not pooed since Weds and she's really grizzly, the poor mite. Plus she's really tossing and turning in the night and has woken during the night for a feed which is not like her recently. I can only assume I need to give the meds a bit longer... If she's the same by Monday I'm going to ring the paed to see if we should up the dosage.

Star it was this one I was thinking of - sorry, it won't help.

Not even a card yet altho he did take Poppy downstairs this morning so I could sleep. He'll have got something (hopefully!!). We might be newlyweds but we've been together for 15.5 years and lived together for 7!!!

we're not doing valentines day, we have been together 9 years and married 3 so we have our wedding anniversary to be romantic, plus it's his birthday on friday so it can get a bit daft money wise.
dh is working today and dd is off to grandmas tonight for a sleepover. i'm spending the day getting the house clean and tidy and then tomorrow dh and i are cleaning the garden ready for the spring.

Honeymoonmummy · 14/02/2009 11:24

Yay! Just had our first explosive korma poo since Xmas eve!! (And I'm happy because...?

Just been downstairs for first time and there's a dozen red roses... bless 'im

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/02/2009 11:36

How odd hmm, when she seemed so much better the first day. Remind me if you tried going dairy fee already?

How romantic hmm (although I've never been fond of roses). We've been together 10 years (and 2 weeks!), and married for 8, and haven't even got each other cards for Valentines! We are attempting to be nice to each other though, which is much better than a card!

Honeymoonmummy · 14/02/2009 12:00

No, paed said no evidence to suggest dairy free would help, whatever thatmeans! Obv if I did it at the same time as the meds I wouldn't know what worked, muight rethink in say 2 weeks. Dairy- free would be really hard for me cos I'm veggie, I know that sounds like a crap excuse and you can get lots of dairy free stuff these days...

Funny re ATTEMPTING to be nice!

hmm I have a friend who is veggie and having to be dairy and egg free atm - don't envy her that! She was delighted at dd's party that she could actually eat as she usually can't, but I had done hummous and roasted pepper sandwiches.

Just on way back from the zoo now - only there a couple of hours but had to feed ds twice as well as just before we left.

Am liking having unlimited internet access on my new phone so that I can mn in the car or wherever.

Who is it on here with the Bloom highchair - CC? What's it like to clean? Is the seat pad removable and machine washable?

OP posts:
CherryChoc · 14/02/2009 18:23

Not me with the Bloom highchair (If you meant me!) we have got the Fisher Price Rainforest Booster Seat thing. Ryan isn't keen at the moment, but he isn't on solids yet so I think he just finds it a bit pointless.

star and ekka hope your little ones are better soon. We have all got colds here which is rotten enough.

LOL @ CSWS saying I am a hippy, I don't feel very hippyish, though I do tend to lean that way...

My phone is so old I think it only does wap internet, and I don't think the screen is big enough to mn!

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/02/2009 19:34

Yes I meant you. Am sure it's one of the newer ladies, so must be MM.

OP posts:
star6 · 14/02/2009 19:47

dad and his wife leaving tomorrow... thank goodness... his wife keeps on me about giving him solids!! ugh! I didn't want to leave him alone with her for a second in case she tried to sneak some in him.
No more brown vomit yet... haven't had time to make a thread either! Been on phone with various drs at gp clinic today... I think they ALL know me by name now. Funny how they all say something different, too... don't they keep a record of advice given?
LOL at attempting to be nice to one another csws!
DH making me a lovely romantic dinner right now (so late!! but oh well, it's the thought that counts ). We've been together for 7 years and married for 1.

star6 · 14/02/2009 19:56

I have blackberry bold but find MN on it a hassle. It's new to me still so maybe it will get easier

Honeymoonmummy · 14/02/2009 20:00

I hope you and I both get sleepers tonight Myjob!

star6 · 14/02/2009 20:48

lol honeymoon!
She's a nurse. She keeps telling me not to worry about brown vomit... but I'm still worried.
Q went down at 7.30. He had 2 2 hour naps today again... I know I should hide and run for cover because this is an absolute DREAM! He's sleeping so well at night that Im starting to get really selfish here... I;m wishing he could settle himself rather than me coming to insert pacifier or pat his back a few times when he does wake the few times after 2/3am!

I hope all babies sleep well tonight!! Naomi should sleep well myjob! WOW for being awake all day long! amazing!

Honeymoonmummy · 14/02/2009 20:58

You may laugh Star but that happened to someone I know!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/02/2009 21:48

Still looking at highchair alternatives for if we decide not to go the cheapy Ikea route. Just found this which is obv designed to be a cheaper version of the bloom. Quite tempting, but would like to see in the flesh first.
Also discovered on JL site that the Zuma which I liked apparently has a machine washable seat, so I don't know what that reviewer who put me off it was on about! Need to look at that properly too, and try ds in it I think. Or else this appears worth a look.
Typically none of these have any reviews in the review section of MN!
