Thanks Natty, it's mostly because I'm at work 3 days and also DH gets a bit narky if I spend too much time on MN. Anyway off to bed, night all x

Nothing from fury on here, and I haven't seen her on fb either. I hope she is OK.

holly, I saw that thread as well....very funny. trolling for a laugh is OK, it's the ones who sucker people in that are either sad or dangerous.

hi bumper . have you given up the idea of legal action then? I was imagining the high profile court case with your head in a bag to preserve anonymity

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 03/02/2009 22:28

He is still feeding every 3 hours or so, day and night. No wonder I look like shit!!

Sorry you are still feeling a bit crapola bumper, but it sounds like you are on the mend. I wasn't really around for that whole moldies thing, I don't get involved in other threads anymore. Every one I've posted on recently has ended up in mud slinging and bitching, so I stay away. It's sad really, esp when I see a thread I could help with, but I just can't take the agro.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 03/02/2009 22:31

holly i feel a bit that way, like there is just a bad atmosphere on MN in general atm.

ah balls to it all.. might start up my own mumsnet.. tee hee [evil grin emoticon]

LackaDAISYcal · 03/02/2009 22:33

holly, is he helping with weight loss?

Are you going to let him self wean? I'd like to go with DS as long as it suits him, but we'll see how it goes.

you should help where you can. I try to, but often stay out of things that look potentially inflammatory or else try to moderate my responses such that I'm sitting on the fence.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 03/02/2009 22:40

I've helped on a couple of bfing threads, but they always turn nasty and I just think that someone more knowledgeable than me will show up soon! Tiktok always takes them over anyway with her "advice"!

No. I am still a fat cow. When I stopped bfing dd I lost a stone, so I think I'm holding onto some extra weight [hopeful emoticon]. I am going to let him self wean (within reason). If he is still bfing at 3 I might just draw the line there. I do know a 4.5 yo bfer though and she is still going strong!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/02/2009 22:55

ikwym, sometimes I feel my advice is unwanted. I try and just post my expereince rather than giving impartial advice which goes against the training I've had so far, but I got my knuckles rapped once as I had apparently given someone a bum steer, so I'm wary of posting as a peer supporter now. I usually just link to the appropriate page in kellymom or advice contacting a bfc.

how is your training going? I must get going with my ABM stuff. I would ultimately like to work as a lactation consultant but that is a loooooong way off.

reet, am off to finish my glass of wine, feed the bumble (or coconut head as he is affectionately known due to his fuzzy sticky up hair) and then bed.

night all

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 03/02/2009 22:56

holly i would love to bf for longer this time round, only managed 6 weeks with ellen, and i would love to self wean i think its a loverly natural way of doing it.
i had one friend who feed till 18 months then stopped it, mostly due to the pressure from others.
there is an extended bf thread on here i believe i peeked at.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 03/02/2009 22:57

night daisy

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 04/02/2009 11:15

morning all.
just had a letter from tax credits
apparently we arnt entitled to all the money we have been receiveing for the last year and half despite being told that we were several times.
so i owe inland revenue 15 grand.

wish i hadnt got up this morning.

Ohforfoxsake · 04/02/2009 12:17

is this a follow up to the last one natty, or a new one?

What happened last time? Did you question it or get any advice?

keepingitRia · 04/02/2009 12:22

natty and for you. Get yourselves to CAB asap. I dread letters like that.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 04/02/2009 12:28

this is a follow up to the letter requesting all financal documents for jan last year.

the other letter we had was for housing benefit who also say we owe them a grand and half.

ffs, why cant they all just piss off and leave me alone. im hardly living the life of luxury here, we can barely afford to eat.
if they take away my tax credits completly now im gonna have to declare bankruspy, as i cant pay the bills.

keepingitRia · 04/02/2009 12:28

DH at home today
so far we have had several cups of tea, omelettes for breakfast and a bath. And baggins fell off the sofa. Going to achieve bugger all again.

Is there an on-line campaign to reinstate Pui & Chris to Discover & Do? (I never thought I'd say that)

keepingitRia · 04/02/2009 12:30

can you get to citizens advice today natty, or ring them? if you've been providing all the information they ask for then there must be some sort of help available to you.

keepingitRia · 04/02/2009 12:31

here natty

keepingitRia · 04/02/2009 12:35

sorry natty, this is a better link

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 04/02/2009 12:35

the problem is that i spoke to someone on the phone who assured me that michael being at uni was irrevant and didnt effect our claim, so they had no info on the student loan stuff as i was told they didnt need it.
NOW im being told we werent entitled to working tax and a lower child tax cos he is a student.
so as far as they are concerned WE are in the wrong for not informing them, but as far as i was aware they didnt need the information in the first place.
im so confused.

FrazzledFairyFay · 04/02/2009 13:05

That's really crap Natty. efinitely go down to the CAB, I'm sure they'll be able to advise you

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 04/02/2009 13:07

yeah i will do when i get a chance, ive got to wait for the final desicion letter thingy saying what the repayments will be, then i can go and claim hardship etc etc..
sometimes i really wish we were just on the dole, least i KNOW what im entitled too, and they cant keep screwing me up

FrazzledFairyFay · 04/02/2009 13:19

Would it be worth a trip to see them before hand anyway, as they might be able to tell you whether you were or weren't entitled to the money - it might help clear your mind a bit?

LackaDAISYcal · 04/02/2009 13:21

15 grand natty . They can't demand it all back at once surely?

Ohforfoxsake · 04/02/2009 13:41

I think Natty, that you need to make a lot of noise about this. Do you have any details of who you spoke to? At least when (they probably tape their phone calls).

Trace said her's got written off, didn't she?

I think you should write to your MP. Seriously. They can help with things like this. They have 'surgeries' usually in local libraries where you can go and see them. A word from them can help, and also shows you are serious. It might not be worth their while persuing you, but they will if you let them. At the very least, phone them up and cry down the phone. I'm not being flippant. That's what I would do.

Its not your fault and you will be left very hard-up because someone misinformed you. Make them find that phone call.

keepingitRia · 04/02/2009 13:43

good advice foxy.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 04/02/2009 14:00
