Just like double decker! (I think that's the ones JBM, I wasn't keen TBH, but my friends had them)

Didn't she dump him? Having watched that link I still would. Sorry. But on the plus side I don't have any kind of "problem" with modern day footballers! I wonder hwy he's never looked me up? Maybe he thinks I'm too busy on Top Gear

keepingitRia · 15/02/2009 23:00

right, I'm off. I'm going to watch it again on my own (Mamma Mia, not the Gary Linekar ad)

Night all.

Ohforfoxsake · 16/02/2009 08:40

Morning, had a message from Daisy sent last night (had an early night so only just read it).

She's in hospital Having a scan this morning and possibly her gall bladder out. She has LO with her

keepingitRia · 16/02/2009 09:56

poor daisy. But at least he is with her and she might get it sorted quick.

oh poor daisy
did make me smile that she kept DS in with her tho, i can just see the nurses trying to argue with her!!

hope everyone is is ok just skimmed thread, on way out to midwives to see if i can have my homebirth or not. all depends on the GBS results.

wish me luck

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/02/2009 12:14

Poor Daisy Fingers crossed that this fixes things for her. that she's still with LO though.

Good luck Natty!

I can't believe I've just agreed to go to yoga in my lunch break tomorrow!

Sputnik · 16/02/2009 13:33

Oh poor Daisy
Please pass on all our best wishes Foxy.

Glad she has Bumble with her, but what about her laptop? (worries about Daisy's withdrawl symptoms)

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 16/02/2009 19:13

lol sputnik, i was thinking that.

now you'll remember that divvy midwife that buggered my arm? well she forgot to order my GBS test, so they had to take more urine today to send off. the midwife i saw today has assured me she will personally call me with the results cos she saw how scared i was about it.
she agreed that if i dont have it there is no reason why i cant have my homebirth but i will have to change my hospital as im out of area.
so goodish news. cept that i have to wait ANOTHER week, grrr

hope we get some news from daisy soon am a little worried.

FrazzledFairyFay · 16/02/2009 19:30

for Daisy

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/02/2009 19:48

I had a text from Daisy at lunchtime saying she was waiting on an ultrascan scan and was bored rigid!

We're never happy are we? Too much housework/stuff to do and we want to sit on our arses and relax, but when forced to sit down with nothing to do we complain that we're bored!

FrazzledFairyFay · 16/02/2009 19:56

Thanks for the update Jammy. The fact that she's bored is good news, in so far as it means she can't be feeling too awful . Please send her our love

doggus · 16/02/2009 19:58

Poor daisy - having your gall bladder out sounds like a major op. Does she have family nearby to help?

I have had a nice day looking at possible properties to rent (our house not big enough for two children, dh thinks property market has 30-40% more to fall, hence rental). One of the houses had a hot tub in the garden - I am afraid I saw it and thought 'birthing pool'.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/02/2009 20:23

at birthing pool Doggus.

FrazzledFairyFay · 16/02/2009 20:23

Don't say that doggus, our house still hasn't sold

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/02/2009 20:26

Have just texted Daisy again to send everyone's love.

FrazzledFairyFay · 16/02/2009 20:27

Thanks Jammy

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/02/2009 20:36

Taking the focus away from Daisy for a moment (sorry), can anyone offer any advice/experience? My periods took ages to come back after jamlet, only started Nov 2008. Then I had a couple of 4 week cycles, then a 3 week gap, and today i started bleeding again just 2 weeks after my last period started I'm on the prog only pill, and don't know if this could be linked to that? I don't want to end up in the same boat as my sister, she had more and more frequent periods some years ago, got really ill with anaemia and ended up having a hysterectomy at 35

doggus · 16/02/2009 20:41

Jammy - is the prog only pill the mini pill? If it is then I think that's the cause. When I was on it my periods were proper bollocksed, none for six months and then one that lasted a month and so on. Hormones may be another source - I had a period once that went on for six months and it turned out I had too much prolactin so get your GP to do a blood test too.

Fay - no-one wants to buy our house either

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/02/2009 20:43

Text back from Daisy saying thanks, and that she was feeling OK until she ate something and now feels very sorry for herself because the painkillers they have given her aren't enough

FrazzledFairyFay · 16/02/2009 20:49

Sorry Jammy, I don't have any experience of the pill. I took it in my twenties and it made me really depressed so I haven't used it since.

Poor, poor Daisy

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/02/2009 20:52

Lawks! A 6 month period doesn't sound like much fun Doggus I had one once lasted 40 days (when I started taking the combined pill years ago and had to try a couple of different types to find the "right" one) and that was bad enough. I have an appointment with my GP on March 13th, so will ask about hormone testing if she doesn't suggest it. And yes the prog only is the mini-pill.

Ohforfoxsake · 16/02/2009 21:48

I don't know Jammy. I've had no periods with the injection and coil though.

Evening all.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 16/02/2009 22:34

Evening all.

Poor old daisy, hope she is ok. It sounds terrible. Glad she has ds with her though. Is there any more news? I don't want to text her in case she is getting inundated with get wells!

I have been making flatpacked furniture for the past 3 days. I'm exhausted and my back hurts, but at least we have somewhere to put our clothes now other than all over the floor/hanging in doorways/on top of random surfaces!

I was on the mini pill when bfing dd and it was terrible. I bled nearly all the time. I would have week long periods every two weeks with random spotting in between, so that is probably the cause jammy. I have seen lots of threads about it on here, so it is not an uncommon problem. We have to use smelly old condoms because there is no way I can go on it again. When bfing is finished I can go back onto lovely Yasmin, then hopefully my dodgy skin will clear up too! I am Miss Hormonal Imbalance!

Hope everyone else is well x

keepingitRia · 16/02/2009 23:02

hi everyone. Thanks for texting daisy jammy.
I think I took the mini pill when BF DS1 (so for about a week). I foudn it too scary cos isn't that the one you have to take at the same time everyday?
I feel your pain though, my last one was nearly a month long, two weeks ago, and after heavy random spotting over that 2 weeks I am now having another. How was the yoga? COuld it be to do with your increased exercise (not that I am implying you weren't active before, but sometimes these things make a difference?)

I went for half a jog on the beach today, with the boys and the buggy. The baggins decided to fall over ina rock pool and got soaked. SO we came home/ Feel quite healthy though (although I did fall half-asleep putting him to bed/listening to the others play Wii and so have only just finished the dishes). I have always been a fat trundler when it came to running (even at school when I wasn't actually "fat" iyswim) and it's something I would love to be able to do, so am giving it a try (it will last a week I expect)
