I don't actually have a sex drive, so it wouldn't be missed. At the time, having a thing stuck in my arm seemed easiest and least invasive. But it's in the bit of my arm the the kids always lever themselves up their elbows on when in bed (ouch), and this whole 3 weeks on 3 days off thing is a but much atm. Might look into it.

Feel poo, but if I don't go out I have to stay in with the kids all day. Just watching Balamory before we go.

sorry you're having a rubbish day foxy. Did you say you were dining with a friend tonight though? that should be fun.

Ohforfoxsake · 14/02/2009 13:45

Yes, I was, but have cancelled. Am just too tired. Everything seems like a lot of effort today.

Meant to say, WELL DONE JAMMY! That's a great result

keepingitRia · 14/02/2009 13:49

foxy. hope you get rested up and feel better tomorrow.

Bumperslucious · 14/02/2009 13:59

Sorry you are having a shit day foxy.

Ria, hope you feel better, can you get some sudofed? Still snotty here too.

Good going on the gym jammy, all your hard work will pay off.

Hope DD is ok Norty, not sure how to deal with vom as never had to with DD.

I've been crocheting a present for my friend's impending baby. It's a string of 3 teddy faces, slightly stuffed with coloured pom poms in between on ribbon that you can tie onto the cot. I might get DH to take a picture when it's finished so I can show as I am very proud and loving crochet, even though I have only been doing it a couple of weeks.

Well done Foxy.
Anyone needing a laugh, go here

Sputnik · 14/02/2009 14:07

I'm going to be on my own tonight as DH is still away, but we don't do V-day anyway. I am defrosting some sardines. Infact, I have been eating odds and ends out of the freezer all week, exciting, huh.

Tomorrow I have to get up at 6 to fetch him from the station.

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 14:08

arses, had a huge post and it's lost it. I've gone back in my browser but it isn't there

anyhoo upshot, sorry your day is shit foxy....eat chocolate, it'll help.

well done on the 1kg jammy. I missed that last ngith with all my "Pity Me" whinging

Managed to start some Valentine artworks yesterday though (DD did her first sponge painting) to make into cards, but didn't get them finished so had to make them this morning. DH let me off though given the state I was in when he got home last night. If he bleats on once more about how a certain bodily fluid is "virtually fat free" I'm going to slap him!

keepingitRia · 14/02/2009 14:16

tell him he has to join you on the low fat diet and he can eat as much of it as he likes!

I am off to the shops. Now. Before I get distracted...again.

doggus · 14/02/2009 14:20

Yay foxy!

Daisy - so sorry about your poss gallstones but even more sorry for your proposed diet

Ds had a sterling attack of croup last night, so we were all up between 3am and 6am dangling him over the dehumidifier. It's so frightening for him he starts frantically clutching at my chest as he can't breathe properly. Really really hoping that's the end of it and we all get some kip tonight. I fucking hate croup.

Ohforfoxsake · 14/02/2009 14:20

That thread is priceless! Thanks Sputnik, really made

Bumperslucious · 14/02/2009 14:24

Oh, bless his heart doggus, poor thing. Right, off to change a poopy nappy!

OP posts:
LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 14:33

lol sputnik, that thread is funny

I've just bought another pair of boots. DH will go bonkers (although I have so many pairs that I can probably sneak them by him without him noticing)

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 14:35

barganacious for those long (fairy) or short of foot

Sputnik · 14/02/2009 14:36

God that sounds awful Doggus. My DS had really bad coughing before xmas and was prescribed steroids, worked really well. Maybe worth having him looked at.

Having got over the flu literally a few days ago, my DCs both have fresh colds. I am really pissed off, every time I take DS back to the nursery he gets another cold within 3 days (then passes it to DD), I'm beginning to think it's just not worth it. When he has a cold he hardly eats anything, he's really got a lot thinner in the last few months, people keep commenting on it (luckily he had a good headstart in the fat department).

keepingitRia · 14/02/2009 14:41

bugger (resists the use of the word "arse")

DH seems to have the car keys with him at work (or they are lost)

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 14:46

poor DS doggus , I hope he has a better night tonight.

I'm caffeine free as well at the minute. My life is just so fucking rock and roll

Sputnik · 14/02/2009 14:53

I could not function without caffeine.
I have given up everything else (just don't feel like drinking, for some reason), but don't think I could ever give up coffee.

In fact the worst thing about DH being away is having to get out of bed in the morning and make my own coffee .

Can you tell I'm supposed to be cleaning the house (ILs descending tomorrow)?

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 15:00

lol at having to make your own coffee. I hate that . Decaf tea is OK actually. I refuse to drink Decaf diet coke though, but limit myself to a few cans a week of the regular stuff.

what's happening with the new house sputnik?

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/02/2009 15:48

Woo hoo - DH has taken DD1 & DD2 out for a long walk leaving me with a sleeping DD3. I'm supposed to be making soup & prepping veg for dinner but I'm drinking tea & eating cake instead. (schoolgirl snigger).

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 15:51

lol T

how are you managing carting all three of them around?

keepingitRia · 14/02/2009 16:01

it's not looking like I'll get my melty chocolate pudding

I'm bored.

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/02/2009 16:05

Just had quick skim & think I'm caught up.

Sorry for all those with sick DC's & those not feeling great themselves.

Lots of little geniuses on here . DD is pretty good with colours, numbers, names of animals, parts of the body, clothes etc. She understands just about everything but, like yours JBM, the word 'NO' eludes her, as does please, thank-you, sorry, wait a minute and don't bash your baby sister/s on the head with that!

Daisy - know how you feel about the tiny little snowsuit. I have already had to pack away the DT's first little babygros - DD was in the newborn size for ages. They were weighed yesterday - 9lb 13 & 9lb 6- DD was barely 8lb @ this age & she was 8days late compared to their 2 weeks early. Dread to think what sort of bruiser I'd have produced had there been only one in there. Packing away the clothes really brought it home that I won't be having any more babies & although I truly don't want any more I still felt quite . Don't know why.

God, I'm rambling.

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/02/2009 16:08

Poor Ria - I'd happily share my M&S coffee & walnut cake with you. Especially as there's a GU sticky toffee pud in the fridge for tonight. YUM.

Ohforfoxsake · 14/02/2009 16:33

mmm, I want my M&S dinner now! Went for baked camembert with bruschette, lamb rack with ceaser veg & new pots, and choc souffle for pud.

Do I cook it and eat it alone, or wait for DP and have it tomorrow (bearing in mind I have the Waitrose steak and chips in the freezer too )

Enjoy the peace, tea and cake T!

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 16:42

Have the steak and chips tonight and the dinner with DH tomorrow foxy.

I think I'll be giving my lovely food a miss tonight as I'm still in too much discomfort to eat anything substantial
