NattyPlus2andAHalf · 13/02/2009 21:37

JBM i am watching that too lol

Sputnik · 13/02/2009 21:39

Daisy that sounds awful, hope they get to the bottom of it asap.

Impressed by all the baby geniuses, DD was a bit like that she could accuratly point out things in book at 1, DS still can't now! But I think he will go a long way with his charm and positive outlook (and dimples)

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 13/02/2009 22:04

im being beaten up by my baby

no sleep for me tonight, think i can tell what this baby is going to be like!!

ellen knows all the words to that winter song on cebeebies ("winter winter lets all cheer" that one) and sings along to it everytime its on. dont know whether to be impressed or at my frequent use of cbeebies to keep the kids quiet..

keepingitRia · 14/02/2009 08:45

morning
happy valentines day

just had cold pizza for breakfast (homemade) am going to take DH up a cup of tea with one of friends homemade brownies shortly.

Had a lovely evening (though child was a pain - I ignore most of it, DS1 coped well though he did say he was a jerk with his "I am unbelievably talented" and "DS2 tickled my bottom" - he didn't it was him doing it to DS2, but he maybe seemed slightly more controlled by new partner) I did not drink enough to kill my cold though.

I had to make pizza cos couldn't buy decent nibbles at shop. DH didn't eat the one I made for him though, so that will probably be our "nice" meal tonight with salad. I might make garlic mushrooms and go to M&S for melty choc pudding. (and then there's Boots for Sanctuary stuff...)

daisy you are ill again. Did you eat something that triggered it do you think? hope your referral is speedy.

congrats fury.

hi JBM and everyone

LackaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 09:34

I had a baked potato with butter, cheese and coleslaw! My favourite meal . Life on a very low fat, gluten free diet is looking very bleak indeed . rice crispies with skimmed milk is pants.

I was getting some cheese for the kids this morning, and I ate a huge lump of it before I knew what I was doing.....am waiting for the fallout as I can feel things building again

keepingitRia · 14/02/2009 09:39

daisy.

Forgive me if you know this already, but didn't Rosemary Conley design her diets round having gallstones? I know that doesn't help with the gluten thing, but maybe worth browsing her books for different ideas for food so it isn't as bleak as it could be?

Old habits are very hard to break though.

LackaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 09:44

She did Ria; I have her original Hip and Thigh Diet somewhere. It's very very strict on the low fat though

This is classic case of be careful what you wish for! I want to be thin....so my body is making sure I achieve that aim by rejecting fat

I said I felt like an old banger in need of a good service last night; DH replied that I am becoming less economical to run and he will have to trade me in for a younger model. Cheeky sod!

keepingitRia · 14/02/2009 09:50

tell him younger models are very high maintenance with the shiny paintwork and full-fat fuel and the seats wouldn't be as comfy!! (I am hoping my DH is of the better the old banger you know/classic car type)

LittleMissNorty · 14/02/2009 10:05

Morning

Daisy, sorry you are feeling so shit. TBH my attacks have only lasted a few hours each time, and now as soon as they start I take tramadol and soluble paracetamol. It was the hospital that advised soluble painkillers as they work much faster apparently. I also watch what I eat but tbh, other than cream and very spicy things, I have eaten as normal and been ok. I had a couple of attacks whilst pg and couldn't really contribute it to anything in particular. My stones are like sand, and I think my attacks happen when some of the "sand" gets stuck in my bile duct, and when it clears I'm ok again. Still fucking hurts though. Must get myself back on the waiting list. Once decision to operate is made, 18 weeks maximum wait......my hospital were desperate to get me in before I breached waiting times.....only to find out I was pg 2 days before and I was promptly slung off the list

Jacket pot and baked beans should be ok?

Hope you feel better soon x

My DD has been sick twice today ....no fever or other signs. given her water and toast for breakfast....anything else I should be doing / looking for? Not had to deal with sick before

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 10:06

lol Ria

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/02/2009 10:08

I have just eaten the gingerbread man that DH did get for me after all (well, Jamlet had the legs, I had the head and body) Now feel that it has probably negated (or worse) the good I did at the gym this morning. Ah well! And my hamstrings hurt I need a nice hot bath with black pepper oil in it.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/02/2009 10:12

A few years ago I had severe abdo pains that I think might have been gall bladder related - in the right place. met descriptions of gall bladder symptoms, and always came after eating fatty foods. I never sought medical advice though so might have been completely unrelated, but they stopped when I ate low fat food. But haven't had any since, even though the past 2 years have definitely NOT been low fat food. But my point is that I bought a low fat Italian cook book and some of the stuff I made from it was really yummy, so it can be done (though of course I didn't have to worry about gluten as well)

LittleMissNorty · 14/02/2009 10:22

MY DH would love to give this old banger a service ......no such luck!!

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 10:23

Thanks Norty.

Poor DD Norty . I would just give her lots of clear fluids and avoid all dairy until she has stopped being sick and then give her light foods to eat.

I didn't get the snowsuits posted yesterday afternoon, but DH is doing it this morning, so hopefully they will be with you on Monday.

I was a bit at how small they are compared to my big bruiser now!!

keepingitRia · 14/02/2009 10:34

TBH this morning I would be quite happy to be left rusting quietly under a blanket.

I am going to brave the outside world to get some Beechams, and will see about town this afternoon. The boys want to go and visit Dsis's new dog.

keepingitRia · 14/02/2009 10:35

sneaky name change there daisy.

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 10:50

me too with the blanket Ria.....but DH has taken DS swimming so I have an exhausting toddler to look after as well as Bumble. For some reason DH decided he wasn't taking DD to watch this week; the very week when I really need it. I think his patience with my constant poorliness is running out

LittleMissNorty · 14/02/2009 10:58

Does she still nap Daisy? Both mine asleep for a while ....doesn't last long unfortunately. DS had me up till 1.30am but did sleep till 6.30am so can't really complain....just could have done without changing moses basket bedding twice and DDs cot bedding once

When you're having an attack Daisy, take painkillers regularly.....you can take neurofen as well (although not ideal if you have an ulcer) but regular top-ups will create a "level" IYKWIM like it does in toddlers who have a fever.

Shit, DS waking up and haven't hoovered yet....later x

PS Daisy...thanks re snowsuits....will FB you later x

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 11:06

not until after lunchtime unfortunately. If I try and put her down in the morning she just screams and screams and screams and screams.

Once DH is back I'm back off to bed.

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 11:53

FOXY FOXY FOXY FOXY. You are in print

Ohforfoxsake · 14/02/2009 13:22

Fuck me!

LoveaDAISYcal · 14/02/2009 13:25

I'll settle for your autograph

Ohforfoxsake · 14/02/2009 13:36

ROFL Daisy

Can't even show DP my first publication

Gosh, I am so chuffed with that, probably more than I should be I feel like I have achieved something. I was having a shit day, and I probably still am, but its brightened the shit up a bit

LOL at your DHs and their 'new models'. Ria is spot on. They should be grateful for us low maintenance models. Not that my DP does any maintenance, and servicing is out of the window since having a coil fitted.

Ria, you asked about the coil the other day. I think it could be great if it suits you. I found it took a while to settle down. I had one proper migraine which scared me having not experienced them before. But it was a one off. And not periods. One big downside is my sex drive has plummeted. Or that might be an upside, depending on how arsed you are about these things (DP more so than me, it seems

I'd suggest giving it a go. The pros outweigh the cons if it suits you. I think you get them checked every 5 years.
