train

Flamesparrow · 31/01/2009 20:09

for lack of baby

I wanted to change back this morning but it took all day to find the right bloody button

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/01/2009 20:20

Friends bought us the Alessi stove top kettle. They forgot about the type of stove we have . We don't use it in summer, as would take us about half an hour to boil!

Lakeland have a butterfly mould too, which I was tempted by, but figured she wouldn't want butterflies every year, so it would turn out to be an expensive one off.
Cakes not perfected yet Jas. Made one choc but not going to go with that recipe, so need to trial another one. Haven't tried a carrot one yet at all. Should have time to practice this week as dh will be able to help look after ds as he now has no work.

C'mon Master Peach. I predicted a Jan baby. Don't make me be wrong!

Ds likely to be worse tomorrow, as I had lactose by mistake today. Why on earth stout contains lactose I can't imagine (made casserole with it).

EachPeachPearMum · 31/01/2009 21:09

Ohhhhh- my mother made one for my brother's 2nd birthday a little like that- she used loaf pan though, and hollowed out the trucks, and used a swiss roll (somehow!) to make an engine. Filled the trucks with chocolate fingers and smarties- it was great.

I really don't think he's going to arrive in next 3 hours CSWS

Jas · 31/01/2009 22:41

That makes my train look naff.
But ds didn't care

I'll send it on Monday....can I have it back at the meet though, as dd2 has been going through it choosing her next birthday cake (for September!)

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/02/2009 09:46

No overnight action EPPM?

Our overnight action consisted of ds taking tiny feeds every hour, and dd chucking up at 3am .

Flamesparrow · 01/02/2009 14:04

How is she now?

Phoenix · 01/02/2009 15:30

for dd throwing up more and ds feeding every hour, you must be knackered.

My overnight action was going to the toilet every 1-2 hours. Think i may have a UTI or cystitis. Going to docs tomorrow to check and get it sorted hopefully.

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/02/2009 19:05

Still not eating properly, but she can be erratic with that anyway. Been at in-laws most of the day, and she seems ok, but then she seemed ok yesterday too!

Hope uti clears quickly Phoenix.

Still nothing EPPM? You must be so frustrated.

EachPeachPearMum · 01/02/2009 20:05

sorry about DD csws.
My overnight action was going to the loo every 2 hours too- baby on bladder though
I had forgotten, but I had loads of utis after having DD- I never really had at any other time, but they were horrid, so lots of sympathy your way phoenix.

Well we had a nice day- lunch at PE for DD, followed by cake, candles and presents- DS decided not to crash the party, so it looks like we're up at 5:30 to go off to hospital tomorrow... in the snow.
Started around 1pm today, and is sticking.

DD is pretty anxious about hospital stay- we have explained what's happening (well- mummy is having the baby, not what they'll actually do!) and that Nana will be there in the morning not us, and will get her ready, take her to nursery etc etc...
She chose this evening to start asking questions about death
"what it means die, Mama?"
Right......

She has heard a lot of songs/fairy tales recently that mention dying, and is curious I suppose- just what I needed this evening though! We've never spent a night apart, and I am not looking forward to tomorrow night tbh.
Cannot believe she is almost 3 though- it has gone so quickly.

Phoenix · 01/02/2009 20:33

What time are you going down for c-section then EPPM? We will be needing news before anyone else

Flamesparrow · 01/02/2009 20:36

Argh for uti/cysitis - it is horrible

for still no action and death talk!!!

EachPeachPearMum · 01/02/2009 21:08

We have to be at hospital for 7:30... but we don't know when theatre will be, as of course emergency cases take priority, as the should.
We were advised late morning/early afternoon, so we'll see.
DH has internet on his phone, and I'll get him to text csws when we have news.

It's really odd- I cannot imagine what DS is going to look like, how big he'll be, if he'll have dark hair etc etc.
Very stressed but excited at same time- don't think DH and I will sleep much tonight!

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/02/2009 21:55

Gosh what an early start EPPM, when you'll then most likely have to hang around. Do make sure that your dh includes name and weight, and confirms that you are ok! Do you want me to tell your ante-natal lot too?
Am still hoping that he decides to make his own appearance tonight though.
Glad that dd had a good celebration of her own today .

Flamesparrow · 02/02/2009 09:21

Ooh wonder how EPPM is!

Snow here, and the new car battery is dead

Phoenix · 02/02/2009 11:47

How annoying Flame.

I haven't even been in my car and have no intention of doing so. I walked down to the doctors and now staying in. Rang in sick to work. I got ab's from doc for uti.

Hope everything is going ok EPPPM

Flamesparrow · 02/02/2009 13:54

help me!!

Phoenix · 02/02/2009 14:16

for you Flame. No idea what you can do but i'm sure someone will be able to help you.

csws - I just made ds those sweetcorn patties for his lunch and he loved them so thanks for the recipe

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/02/2009 14:42

Master Peach has arrived! 1pm weighing 8lbs 10oz. No name yet!

Glad ds liked them Phoenix.

Phoenix · 02/02/2009 14:44

Yay Can you pass on congratulations csws

Flamesparrow · 02/02/2009 14:50

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

All is sorted. Mix of misleading forms and me being a moron.

Jas · 02/02/2009 17:56

Congratulations EPPM

How are the dc today CSWS?

Glad the car thing is sorted Flame. Not my field of expertise at all.

Jas · 02/02/2009 18:00

Sorry, didn't mean t press post yet.

Phoenix - I hope the abs kick in quickly.

I've had the girls home all day. The school was open....skeleton staff, the only ne in town that was open, but dp, and every ther mum in the street convinced me I was being mean by sending them and I let them stay home and play

They will be going in tomorrow unless it is closed though....the snow novelty has worn off already

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/02/2009 20:34

Dd sick again this morning Jas, a few minutes after her morning bf. Hasn't been eating properly again, but drinking a good bit of milk. No more sickness during the day. Her school was closed, and is likely to be closed again tomorrow. Not what I need with a party to organise, especially as Tesco didn't deliver groceries because of snow either . Did manage another choc cake practice though, and think I'll go with the recipe I tried today. Wanted to do the carrot cake for variety, but ingredients were on Tesco order.

Is lucky that dh is here and not working really.
Ds still full of cold, but he's a cheerful soul regardless.

Jas · 02/02/2009 21:01

well, cheerful ds is good

I do hope she is better tonight.

DS is causing trouble atm....I caught him in the kitchen puring a whole bottle of sunflower oil into my pasta sauce this evening, then while I sorted that out, he applied all of dd1s lip gloss to his cheeks!
Grr.
