Frizbe · 30/01/2009 23:23

thank you Jas somebody loves me

Happy Birthday MRM, sorry I forgot earlier, thanks for the prompt CSWS

I've been laughing at some old rock vids I've not seen in years on you tube, its great for stuff like that. Dh has man flu

EachPeachPearMum · 31/01/2009 00:13

OK- don't die of shock.... but I think I may be starting contractions, as in proper ones
Am going to have a pace and see what happens!

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/01/2009 07:58

News EPPM?

mustrunmore · 31/01/2009 08:32

ok waiting with baited breath......

VampiresWalkin · 31/01/2009 08:50

This looks soooo much better this morning! I dunno what has changed though

Does someone have a number so she will text us (or some more sane combination of those words)?

I have a cold now Silly not to add that in with the whiplash and panic attack!

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 31/01/2009 09:36

they stopped after about 5...
went to bed, and nothing this morning
He was really active though, so hopefully he'll get back on it today....
Have been sitting on birthing ball this morning, but DD is fed up of that now

VampiresWalkin · 31/01/2009 09:40

Oh arse

So, do you have a number you're texting with news for us???

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 31/01/2009 09:48

I have CSWS's and Jas's so don't worry- you will hear as soon as there is any real news!

Jas · 31/01/2009 15:58

Is a quiet thread a sing that EPPM is having ds today I wonder???

No news here.

Flame....I have to read all your posts twice now, as I keep thinking it is mrm the first time. Wondering why she had whiplash.

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/01/2009 16:23

No news here either.

Dd seems better. Ds being sick a lot.

Jas · 31/01/2009 16:25

Have you eaten something that has upset him, or is it something else?

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/01/2009 16:35

Suspect a little bug as it's hit both of them. Neither has been particularly bothered though. Just throw up then carry on as normal!

Only diff thing I've eaten is lots of choc cake .

Jas · 31/01/2009 16:54

It would be worse if it was upsetting them.

Have you perfected the huge cakes then?

Flamesparrow · 31/01/2009 17:07

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm chocolate cake!

Anyone got a link to an easy to create aeroplane cake please?

Frizbe · 31/01/2009 17:16

Hmmm aeroplanes, one for Jas me thinks!

Come on baby EPPM, get out of there! I'm guessing you just want to be a Feb baby as well huh, well if you could just make it the 1st, your parents and your sister would be very happy

CSWS {{{Hugs}}} for the poorly kids

We just made chocolate cup cakes, which we're going to ice white, then decorate with pink love hearts apparently, dd1 is in valentines overdrive

I in the meantime have tummy cramps think its AF related, but don't get them very often, so not sure?

Our kettle blew up this am, so that's the toaster and the kettle both brought at the same time crap make Morphy Richards it seems so I've been and brought a stove top kettle today now that can't break down can it?

Flamesparrow · 31/01/2009 17:31

I was sympathetic about sick children in my head btw I really should post everything I am thinking!

I am using MN new and it is going ok, but the smilies are all fuzzy where I have zoomed in to lose the margins

I have been fancying a stove top kettle! Nappiesgalore has one and I am oddly in love with it! Plus it would be one less wire taking up my work surface.

DD has been whinging to make stuff, so we may go for Valentine cooking next weekend. We have to paint my sister's birthday present too.

I need to make the cake in advance and freeze it to save hysteria I think - or we get the hell of DD's birthday last year when the cake burnt. I was reading a site that suggested freezing then shaping which would never have occurred to me before.

Phoenix · 31/01/2009 17:38

Happy birthday for yesterday MRM.

Hope master Peach is on his way

I've ordered a train cake tin from Lakeland for ds' birthday cake, so i'm going shopping next week for things to decorate it with once i make it

Phoenix · 31/01/2009 17:40

Oh and for 2 ill lo's csws. Hope ds is better soon

Flamesparrow · 31/01/2009 17:48

I desperately want that tin, saw it before xmas last year (2007) and have been wanting it ever since!

DS just won't shut up about "aeroplane chocolate happy birthday cake". He has never expressed any interest in planes

Phoenix · 31/01/2009 17:57

We saw them in a Lakeland shop in Cornwall last year and i really wanted one. The train looks the easiest so i ordered it. Only ordered it Thursday night so just hoping it comes in time. Had email today to say it's been dispatched so fingers crossed

Jas · 31/01/2009 18:47

I did dd2s aeroplane cake from a book, so no link, but it was very easy, and I can send you the book if you want it (It is only the size of a magazine), as it has templates for cutting the wings etc.

No picture atm as it was pre digital camera and I can't find the print.

ChasingSquirrels · 31/01/2009 18:49

ds has wanted a thomas cake since ds1's b'day in Sep. We went to tesco to buy one and he chose a vanilla tray bake . It was really nice!

Jas · 31/01/2009 18:49

I had a stove top kettle, but never put the whistle in, and constantly left it to boil dry
It was a good idea as it was before we had the wiring done so only had one socket in the kitchen, but dp binned it. Value elec one is ok, and when it dies I don't mind paying £4for a new one.

Flamesparrow · 31/01/2009 19:01

The book would be good Thank you.

Tray bake is much easier!

EachPeachPearMum · 31/01/2009 19:48

heheh- I was going to say what Jas said- when we had a stove top kettle.... it always boiled dry. Lost track of how many my parents destroyed over the years....

Absolutely nada today well- monday is his deadline [grr]

CSWS- sorry for poorly children, no fun at all, and probably many times harder now there are 2 of them

We're doing cake and presents tomorrow, presuming there's nothing happening tonight. DD quite excited about it.

Flame- you're back to Flame?

If the cake is the shape of a train- how do you cover it? pour choc over, or using icing? (yeah- like it matters to me, cause I'll be baking on tues, won't I?)
