csws- v good point about spelling- I would have spelled Finlay myself! Who is awakening? dd or ds?

Flame- I don't actually know your dd's name, but I'm guessing its same as califrau?

dude's name is gorgeous

Phoenix- definitely listen to Flame on names, not me!

my list this time (other than what we picked)
Arlo
Milo (pronounced Meelo not Mylo)
Ludo
Cosmo
(erm- are you seeing a pattern?)
Kester
Theodore
Hector
Rufus
DH vetoed all of course.
We're still debating middle names
Liking Gregory
Laurence
Benedict
Theodore
Arthur
Peregrine (!! amazingly, DH wants this one- I only suggested half jokingly as I expected him to veto immediately )
Alexander

I like Tudor, (never thought of) but I don't think it scans well with your surname.

EachPeachPearMum · 28/02/2009 14:50

And I only admitted sheepishly to DH yesterday that I called DS 'Arlo' and 'Theo" when we were alone in the hospital, just to make sure he wasn't those

BandMeeting · 28/02/2009 14:58

Lol @ listening to Flame on names! Yes, I'm your person if you want random welsh names .

Yup, same as Cali but with a y (which got die hard actually english but convinced she is Welsh aunt all annoyed, she did shut up a bit when I said that it was the spelling severely dyslexic DH chose as he was happiest with it )

Got completely confused reading your list EPPM as I was suddenly convinced I had imagined you having a newborn

Ooh meant to say yay for it all going well with nursery runs - a good first one means you have hope to cling to if it goes wrong next time

BandMeeting · 28/02/2009 14:59

EPPM - nothing about that. Given that I still see DD as Jennifer

EachPeachPearMum · 28/02/2009 15:10

Jennifer is a leetle bit different from what you chose!

of course, with Jennifer 'you can't go wrong'!
[obscure Lloyd Cole reference emoticon]

BandMeeting · 28/02/2009 15:50

I know Jennifer I decided was "right" from about 36 weeks (hadn't been on any list), DH was dead set against it though. When she was born, I looked at her and felt Jennifer.

mustrunmore · 28/02/2009 15:55

She looks more like who she is than a Jennifer.

So. I bought some books at a car boot last yr, boys not fussed, so ebayed this week... £30.63

EachPeachPearMum · 28/02/2009 20:07

you are becoming the ebay queen!
I really must get organised- I have soooo much stuff to list, and walking to the PO is good for me now I have time. Just all the photography takes so long...
And the organising, of course. But we really need the space- ds is going to outgrow his moses basket imminently so we're having to find space for a cotbed at the moment

Frizbe · 28/02/2009 20:16

Good news on the ebay MRM

Baking birthday chocolate cake here, so I've just had to run to the kitchen and have forgotten all I've read
mainly name stuff I think....with both we had names chosen by 35wks and we stuck to them, so its a good job they do suit!

Have just cracked open a bottle of wine we got for xmas, its a bit 'wince' on 1st taste, but its all we've got so we're sticking with it

Party tomorrow, though I'm sure I'll be on here at some point. Have great weekends, Flame I hope you have a great night out

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/02/2009 20:19

I love Cosmo and Kester (I suggested that to dh, but he'd never heard of it and thus vetoed it as one of my 'weird ideas'.

As you know, I like Lawrence/Laurence, but I think that Theodore or Benedict sound better with his first name. I can't do the full scan in my head because I can't remember your obscure surname!

Frizbe · 28/02/2009 20:53

Hmmmm 1st half of cake hasn't risen as much a I'd like, was hoping to cut it into two....2nd half now in oven.....pray this works, or I'll be heading for 24hr supermarket.....

mustrunmore · 01/03/2009 09:41

ds2 helped me make a cake yest; looks lkie a brick! Its for friends today when they bsbysit so i can go aerobics! I've been up cleaning and cookinhg since 6

EachPeachPearMum · 01/03/2009 14:00

6? crazy woman!

It's a gorgeous day today, but we can't go out, as BIL is coming... grr.
Btw- he wanted us to name DS Xavier, and was genuinely hurt when we said no, we'd picked our own name...

mustrunmore · 01/03/2009 14:54

ds2 gets up at 6 anyway so might aswell put the time to use

Frizbe · 01/03/2009 22:02

Do I take it you've all been out enjoying the spring sunshine today then (did you get into the garden EPPM? or go out with BIL?) it was a lovely day wasn't it? we chucked the kids outside at dd2's party for an hour, as it was so nice In fact they were out there earlier in the day too, such a refreshing change, mind you I was a bit miffed 1st thing, I had to go out there and clear up as when I opened the curtains, there was the contents of some oik's takeaway strewn across my garden, it was the bright blue fork skewered in my lawn that gave it away, followed by the trail of chips, cheese and ketchup, with the container hanging in the holly bush I rang dh up and said, we'd better be moved out of here by the end of next year I like peace and quiet in my garden, not chavs trash. (sorry for rant) Will post party photos on facebook for you to view!

BandMeeting · 02/03/2009 17:47

yay for good party! Argh for chav garden though

Meet up has arrived a lot faster than I expected!

Frizbe · 02/03/2009 19:11

looking forward to meet up, have just trebbly ensured that we have staff to cover dh, so he can look after the kids, though think that they may end up looking after the kids and dh the store

EachPeachPearMum · 02/03/2009 19:32

Am a bit nervous about the meet up, tbh- not the meeting bit (and have met 2 already)- but how DS is going to behave....
csws is used to it, but I bet the rest of you have forgotten what newbs are like for waking, crying etc.

Phoenix · 02/03/2009 19:40

I might need the practice EPPM

mustrunmore · 02/03/2009 20:02

i dont mind; i dont sleep anyway

EachPeachPearMum · 02/03/2009 20:06

hmm, well-he has fed every 1.5 hours today, so not sure how much I'll be able to interact with you all... I think it's a growth spurt- DH came in from work and said he's looking huge!

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/03/2009 20:18

Awww don't worry EPPM. I don't think that anyone is coming for the sleep .

Ds still feeds every couple of hours, and more often than that at night .

Meet up might arrive before the house is clean and tidy at this rate though. Fancy all bringing rubber gloves and flash?

All this talk has just reminded me why I wasn't going to try and get ds into his own room yet. Have put him in there tonight just to see if he wakes up more (is that actually possible?!) or less without me beside him. Mind you, he's had so much daytime sleep today to catch up on bad nights, that I'm not sure that anything that happens tonight can be classed as representative!

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/03/2009 20:20

Have people thought about roughly when they are turning up btw? You're welcome any time, but nice to have at least a vague idea.

mustrunmore · 02/03/2009 20:27

Well, I finish class at 11.30 trains roughly every 30mins, think it takes ?45mins to wgc or w north or whereever i go, so say 12.45 to 1.30 at a train station waiting to get pivked up pretty please . Or, if you'd ratgher I came later, i'd be very happy to not sacrifice my run, and do that; so say add 45mins onto those times. Or can come even later still?!

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/03/2009 20:36

The perfect solution would surely be to make you run from the station to mine?
