Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Phoenix · 27/02/2009 10:02

All cross your fingers, ds has been in pants for an hour Not done a wee yet though. He thinks i haven't got any nappies left so he agreed to try pants.

4 boys sounds like hard work.

Can any of you think of a nice middle name to go with Rhys? You all know my stupid long surname I like Rhys Michael but that's my brothers name and i have 2 brothers so couldn't use one of their names and not the other.

mustrunmore · 27/02/2009 11:42

hurray for pants!

Go for a longish middle name if you're having a one-syllable frist name, like Rhys Alexander or son=methin.

omg, I'm wearung contct lenses for first time in my life. Its weirsd.Ir took bloody ages to get them in anf out practising at the opticians.I'm on a 2 week trial!

BandMeeting · 27/02/2009 12:20

Ooh wow MRM!!!

yay for pants

I like Rhys Alexander

Dude was only sick once more last night - woke at 10pm, said he felt sick, was sick and then slept on the sofabed with me (easier to deal with him there). I think it was just all too much crap/excitement/lack of sleep etc.

mustrunmore · 27/02/2009 12:33

ds2 just threw up all over th esofa

Phoenix · 27/02/2009 12:52

for ds2 mrm, hope he's ok.

I like Rhys Alexander but dh says no, its too long with surname.

2 wees in potty and 2 small dribbly accidents so far. Is that good?

Meant to say earlier, EPPM - glad ds is doing better feeding since his tongue snipping. for sleep, that's great.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/02/2009 15:43

How many syllables does your dh want then Phoenix? I think it sounds best with 3. How about Rhys Dominic? It was you who liked that when we were considering it wasn't it?

Yay for better feeding after tongue snip.

for sickness hitting the mrms.

Another shite night here, so am of all your sleep EPPM.

Phoenix · 27/02/2009 16:12

Oooh didn't think of Dominic, i like. He probably won't though. I'll ask him when he gets home.

mustrunmore · 27/02/2009 17:18

He seems to be fine

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/02/2009 18:25

dd 'seemed to be fine' for a whole week, whilst throwing up in the middle of the night.

mustrunmore · 27/02/2009 18:26

Great, thanks for that!

EachPeachPearMum · 27/02/2009 19:55

mrm- hope ds is better soon.

Well- I did it! Got 2 of them up, ready, out of the house by myself- DD made it to nursery by 9:30, and I got her home by 5:10, bathed her, fed her dinner, fed DS, and put her to bed BY MYSELF!

DS was particularly co-operative today though, so don't know how it will go monday

Am off to bed myself now am shattered- no naps for me today, though managed ironing, laundry, preparing dinner and some thank you letters. Definitely need a rest now... hope everyone's dcs sleep well tonight.

mustrunmore · 27/02/2009 20:58

Ah, well done EPPM

Frizbe · 27/02/2009 21:59

Well done EPPM

CSWS for rubbish sleep, {{{Hugs}}}

MRM yay for contacts, but for poorly boy, hope he's better soon, get some yakult down him, might help fix him?

Phoenix I like Alexander cause its ss's middle name, but I also like Dominic
How about Sebastian or Gregory? hth's

Hope everyone else doing good?

Had a lovely day in York with Meridian and another friend today, came back with another pair of shoes, with a slight heal, reduced to £30, bargin for my size 8 plates of meat and very comfy

Phoenix · 27/02/2009 22:09

well done EPPM

Thanks for name suggestions. Me and dh had a talk about names tonight (i made him otherwise he wasn't allowed to watch rugby ) It was him that really wanted Rhys but now he's opened up to more names so we have a new list

Noah Jacob (current fave for both of us)
Noah Rhys
Noah Zachary

Rhys Jacob
Rhys Morgan

Finley Jacob
Finley Joseph
Finley John

Jonah ??

Frizbe · 27/02/2009 22:15

Phoenix, I like Noah as a name too, not Jonah though, that just sets me off singing.....

Frizbe · 27/02/2009 22:16

Just got good news, friend is out of surgery and doing well

Phoenix · 27/02/2009 22:16

We're not 100% on Jonah either.

Phoenix · 27/02/2009 22:17

Good news Friz

Jas · 27/02/2009 23:01

My nephews are called Noah and Fyn, so I may be biased but I like all your list except Jonah.

Well done n today EPPM. It will get easier.

Yes friend with the 4 boys is same one with useless dh. They are back together, so I just hope they can sort things out long term.

I'm busy with life so not posting much, but mrm, yes I am still on for lift-giving.

EachPeachPearMum · 28/02/2009 07:18

Phoenix- what is L's middle name?
Even though your surname is long.. it is only 3 syllables, so doesn't sound long IYSWIM.
Noah Jacob is just too biblical for me but I am v v fussy with names, and my taste isn't really like anyone else's.

Alexander does go well with your surname IMO!

mrm- sorry, I owe you an email- you asked me ages ago had forgotten. Will try and do this weekend I promise.

Hope all the sick boys are better.

CSWS= more sleep last night?

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/02/2009 07:57

6 wake ups by 3:15am, so gve medised and got over 2 hours straight - bliss!

Phoenix - are you bothered by people spelling his name wrong his whole life? If so (and believe me it is annoying when people do this) then avoid Rhys and Finley. How about Zachary Joseph or Zachary Jacob?

Phoenix · 28/02/2009 10:00

I know spelling a name is annoying. You wouldn't believe the amount of people who spell Lewis, Louis. It's not even the same name

Lewis' middle name is James. 4 nieces and nephews on dh's side all have 'J' middle names. I don't like sticking to the stupid little tradition but we do like Jacob or Joseph.

Ok Jonah is off the list

Thank god for Medised eh csws. But for lack of sleep before that.

BandMeeting · 28/02/2009 10:12

I fell asleep on the sofabed (still out from the night before), and DS joined me slept there for most of the night.

I am now in a quiet, empty house .

for your night CSWS

MRM - how is sickness now?

I like Noah I always swore I wouldn't give my children names that needed spelling out... that went a bit awry didn't it?

mustrunmore · 28/02/2009 13:50

Yeah, but your kids have lovely names flamne

lol dont worry EPPM; I kind of guessed you had alot on your plate

I love Noah, and Jonah. We had Finlay as a shortlist name, but I'm off it a bit now tbh. I still love Tudor and Heath, which I really really pushed for with ds2
in fact, if I had more boys they'd def be Tudor and Heath.

mustrunmore · 28/02/2009 13:52

Sorry, forgot to say thank you Jas I'm gonna bring the A-Z to show you where I need to go, cos that whole area is a complete unknown to me

sickness nonexistent...
