csws, we always have that argument about Days of Thunder actuallly!!

So. I ebayed some stuff for the first time in ages... they all ended last night... I made the £40 that the party cost . Well, £39.85, but close enough!

Flamesparrow · 22/02/2009 13:03

yay for ebay!!!

I have never seen Days Of Thunder.

What was the film anyway CSWS?

My mum calls me to tell me about films she has just watched and how good they were. Most of the time we watched them together a few years ago and she has completely forgotten ever having seen it

Jas · 22/02/2009 13:58

Great results on the Ebaying mrm
Sorry I missed his birthday, but I hope he enjoyed it.

I am feeling alot better now, as long as I stick to the crackers and water diet Still no tea

Phoenix - When it stops hurting, don't go thinking you are all better and go back to work. Wait out the month and still ask for light duties, won't you?

Frizbe · 22/02/2009 17:43

Oh Jas {{{Hugs}}} hope your feeling better by now.

CSWS's dh 'slap'

EPPM {{{{Hugs}}}} for Thrush and ds for spots.

Flame, right virtual it is!

Yay for cheap party MRM

Still sorting ss's room out here, have filled holes in celing and woodwork today, amidst faffing around going to garden centre for lunch with dd2, after dropping dd1 at her mates house, oh and Popping by Meridians for coffee and brownie, she insisted

EachPeachPearMum · 22/02/2009 19:46

great ebaying mrm!
I need to get organised and sell some stuff... it is all too easy to buy things when you are up all night

I've never seen days of thunder either surprisingly....

Master Peach's eye seems fine today! (prob got an eyeful of bm sometime during the night! )

Umm Jas.. I started getting sick when I had tea when I was pg.... eek!

Jas · 22/02/2009 20:36

lol EPPM Funnily enough the only time I go off tea totally is when I am pg, but this is definitely illness! I still can't face anything dairyish, but had veg sup for tea tonight, and feel ok nw apart from an unusual lack of appetite

Flamesparrow · 22/02/2009 21:30

yay for better eye.

Can I ocme in and sob in a corner please? Had my mate's DH on the phone - she has spiralled (has very low phases - I think she is borderline bi-polar tbh), announced the marriage isn't working and went out for the day. Was then let down by the people she was meant to meet, and she hasn't come back home. He last heard from her an hour ago, and she isn't answering his or my calls. So worried

Flamesparrow · 22/02/2009 22:03

found her - she is heading home

EachPeachPearMum · 22/02/2009 22:50

Oh Flame hope she is okay.

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/02/2009 08:09

Have you read this thread EPPM.

Glad friend found flame. Where was she?

Phoenix · 23/02/2009 08:21

Glad your friend was found Flame, is she ok?

I thought of EPPM when i read that thread too csws

Glad you're feeling better Jas, sickness is the worst thing ever. As much as i really don't want to i will be going on light duties when i go back to work.

EachPeachPearMum · 23/02/2009 09:11

Ooh- great thread!
A certain someone was up until 4:30 last night
Am v tired.

Flamesparrow · 23/02/2009 10:31

Just randomly driving as far as I can tell.

for no sleep

damewashalot · 23/02/2009 12:23

Hello sounds like general hugs are needed all round

EPPM has ds had tongue done yet?

Jas · 23/02/2009 12:39

Hello

Glad your friend was found last night Flame, and I hope she gets whatever help she needs.

4.30 is very late I hope you get some rest today EPPM.

I am feeling much better at last. The dds have an inset day so we are doing homework and housework, then if that gets done, a trip to the park

EachPeachPearMum · 23/02/2009 13:12

dame- we are going on thursday.
Hope you had a lovely holiday

Jas- glad you're feeling better!

We have slept most of the morning- he is unsettled because he can't poo- oh how I had forgotten these days. It's been 24 hours... and previously he had about 8 dirty nappies a day, so we're in for a treat when he does manage it!

Any ideas how I do the school(well nursery) run with a newborn- am dreading next week when MIL goes back to work...

damewashalot · 23/02/2009 13:21

Mine all learnt quite quickly to cope with having 1boob before school run then 2nd boob after did mean I was a little lopsided but it worked
You will just manage, face it I managed to get 2 to school with a 2yr old and new born in tow not sure how to explain how you just do because you need to, plus you will get lovely 1 to 1 time with your little one

Not sure that was at all helpful but I tried

Jas · 23/02/2009 13:42

DS had a very early feed, then if all went well, stayed asleep while I got the dds up and ready, then into the buggy for school run in sleepsuit (great thing about a Feb baby) then back home for feed, dressing, more sleep.

It only actually got hard to do once he was weaned and I had t fit in breakfast for him, which meant I had to wash and dress due to severe weetabix face!

damewashalot · 23/02/2009 14:15

Oh yes don't dress baby first! ds4 tends to eat when we get back still as sleeps late.

Flamesparrow · 23/02/2009 14:28

Jas - I just postponed breakfast until after school run for the dude.

EachPeachPearMum · 23/02/2009 15:06

Dress baby?
He doesn't have any clothes, just sleepsuits
V good idea Flame when we're at that stage...
Presumably Jas & Dame you woke baby for a feed? He is still so random though...

I have no idea how you managed Dame, with ds4...

damewashalot · 23/02/2009 16:18

It helps if you can just go with the flow and remember it gets easier

Jas · 23/02/2009 17:45

I never wake a sleeping baby! School run is 1/2 hour, so if he didn't feed/go back to sleep early enough, there were times when he just had to wait.

Flame - I did breakfast late to start with but there came a time when he wanted t eat early and everything had to be rearranged.

Going with the flow is the only way EPPM. You will find something that works.

Jas · 23/02/2009 18:50

Just need a small rant about FIL. He is a stubborn old goat!

In India, postponed homecoming due to arthritis, and now postponed again due t a broken hip....which he is going to heal himself by lying still for 6 weeks rather than go to hospital.

Frizbe · 23/02/2009 19:34

WHAT, jeez no wonder he drives you nuts Jas why won't men go to the Drs???

All good advice there EPPM don't think there's anything I can add.

Flame {{{Hugs}}} for friend, hope she's home safe?

Feeling drained here, not sure why? haven't been to gym tho, as inset day, so took dd1 to work with me this am, and gave dh a lie in, in a house with no kids, which he's hopefully appreciated, though he's knackered at the mo and playing Fables, so am leaving him to it and not enquiring, as he may be grumpy..... Off to read a book me thinks.
