Buckets..what ones do you fancy? we could always do swapsies!

poppy.. sorry to hear that about your Grandma

I felt all out of sorts yesterday which is why i said hi and then disappeared. But today has been a different story. Tis strange. i just felt like i'd got out of the wrong side of the bed iyswim.

Right girls, i need some ideas... its my birthday on Thursday and i really don't want to just have another normal day with DS. I love him and all that but i want to do something nice and different soooo...what do i do? I want it to be soemthing special but i don't want to make it a big "hey its my birthday" thing. hmm, maybe i'll arrange to see a local mum who doesn't know its my bday and we can do something..but what?
Perhaps i should do this as a competition and the person who has the best idea gets an invite to join me!

i'd better go, DP is giving DS a bottle and from the screams i can hear it sounds like i'm needed

might be back, if not, goodnight one and all

Christening plans remain sketchy.. .. Despite friends coming 500 miles to discuss it 2 x tantrumming toddlers (and they were spectacular!), plus 2 x babies meant that we didn't complete a sentence let alone a conversation. Have decided though (somewhat unilaterally ) that should DD2 have grown out of the family christening gown, one of the ones you linked to will be purchased as a new family gown for bigger babes!

With you on the wiping the sick off and continuing. I don't even get as far as the febreze . Recounting my approach to such things provoked my oldest friend to declare that she would NEVER have children if that's what it could do to your dignity. And she meant it!

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 23:05

my mother told me to leave my dignity at the delivery room door and not to bother trying to retrieve it until all children grown up and moved out I now understand why though!

some of the gowns are lovely aren't they, am sorely tempted myself

sleekitsambo303 · 25/01/2009 23:09

eek Poppy horrible realisation that you live in Scotland, too far for buggy swap dp understandably annoyed as he suggested Quinny before I talked him into the maclaren. Am in doghouse

miamla will have a think, brain not 100% these days so not promising anything.

night all!

poppysocks · 25/01/2009 23:26

Sorry Sambo. Lovely idea, thwarted by geography! Tried to use it as an extra reason to get to the London meet-up, but alas...

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 23:27

oh crap, think I've managed to get myself embroiled in another AIBU argument

should've gone to bed hours ago as I'd planned

poppysocks · 25/01/2009 23:28

Your Mum spoke sense Dizzy. Wish I had been warned... or maybe better that I wasn't!

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 23:32

bedtime for me, my posts/grammar/spelling etc all going badly downhill

thanks again for offer for tomorrow poppy but I think I'll stick to current plan and only alter it slightly for our guest

night all!

McStadenofKilsyth · 26/01/2009 01:14

TS Maybe you could post some of your post c-sec experience here for MamaG?

Little man asleep. DP asleep. Me wide awake. Have given up trying for now as was lying awake in bed for over an hour and got bored.
WHY WHY WHY??

McStadenofKilsyth · 26/01/2009 01:14

Going to browse nappy sites. Keep myself occupied by looking at pretty nappies

McStadenofKilsyth · 26/01/2009 01:54

Ah well, at least I've had a good laugh at the vampire thread

TwilightSurfer · 26/01/2009 03:05

Thanks Ann. I posted to MamaG.

Dizzy NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! Goodness just your description of things made me hyperventilate, go into a panic attack, and have to sit down. That's just a bit to stressful and life's too short to be that stressed.

Sazzles, I do like how you talk to yourself in your posts. Do you also carrying on conversations with yourself off line? I'm sure you keep yourself good company. Do remind your self to keep better notes next time you shop so things like cucumbers wind up in your basket if they are needed. OH and sorry no cucumbers here but I do have celery, onions, potatoes, chicken and chicken stock.....can anyone guess what the twiligh house will be having tomorrow??

OMG it's 10PM I need to be in bed.
NIGHT!

Well what did you expect me to do? You are on maternity leave and can buy milk at leisure.

I am a man, must work, and must drink coffee.

Yes you've guessed it this is my impression of MrThistle.

VintageThistle · 26/01/2009 07:46

Speaking of which I must get out of this Scottish national dress thing and slip into something more comfortable.
