Sazzles I know so many women (self included) just like you... I am always impressed by those ladies strong enough to put their personal needs before others. I have a friend who often says no, she gets respect. This book must get written.

Miamla · 25/01/2009 22:07

sleekitsambo303 · 25/01/2009 22:11

no cucumbers here, just a couple of pickled cornichons. I think they're related (to the cucumber not to each other LOL)

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 22:13

DH has just replied to a text I sent him saying that I amuse him and he thinks he'll keep me

I just think he's lost the receipt and my dad won't take me back without proof of purchase

night Sazz

Giraffe menu so those going can be organised and those not going can play fantasy food ordering. No nonsense about salads/diets etc please, this lunch is all about getting what we deserve.

Dizzy I'm confused, surely your friend is offering to take the 2 big swimmers while you sit the 3 littlies? If not, tell her that's the only way you can manage it (unless she wants to have the 3 littlies?). She'll soon learn to say no to her DS if she's got the excuse of looking after your DD too.

sleekitsambo303 · 25/01/2009 22:31

got your priorities right buckets , that menu starts with dessert

Buckets · 25/01/2009 22:32

Actually those salads do look delish

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 22:35

no, she's taking her eldest DS leaving me with her youngest and all of my girls. My DD goes swimming on a Thurs which is when I take all of mine with me if DH is working. Her DS has his lesson on a Monday

I'm having the herby chicken schnitzel burger BLT burger

sleekitsambo303 · 25/01/2009 22:35

yes but you can only have a salad if you finish your dessert

poppysocks · 25/01/2009 22:36

Dizzy - YANBU. Couldn't she think of a better reason for asking you though?! The Tesco suggestion could be a goer given the geographical proximity? Give me a shout though if I can take a DD or two off your hands for a bit.

cyteen - You're on the dark FB side?! I thought we had some solidarity!

VG - Loved the jacardi things you linked to. MiL buys the girls stuff from there. Gorgeous, but when she leaves the prices on . Lastest batch included a 35 Euros babygro!!!

So sorry to hear about your aborted night out TS. Hope you manage to reshcedule and Reese lets you go. Glad to hear you had a good night with your DP ann.

Nothing really to report here (on the post-natal theme). DD1 no longer being sick - phew. Rather long conversation with my Dad, who did a dawn dash to his mother's bedside. She may not now be long for this world.

Buckets · 25/01/2009 22:39

Well that's no use, she'll have to change her DS's day .

OMG why are there no Giraffes on the South Coast? I will have to order at least 5 main courses!

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 22:40

oh poppy no, what sad news. I hope your dad has managed to get there. Is she far?
glad to hear M is feeling better though

I've had a bit of a day of it in that sense - dog puked this morning, Dylan threw up on her lovely new babygro just as we were about to leave, DD1 stood in dog poo on way to gymnastics , Dylan threw up on herself again at the gymnastics so third outfit of the day for her all by 11.30!!

seems to have stopped though

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 22:41

buckets I've suggested this as I'm more than happy to do my share of lifts, I already share with another lady from the school which is a big help to us both but apparently Thurs doesn't suit

poppysocks · 25/01/2009 22:49

Oh Dizzy I'll match you a healthy smattering of baby vom and raise you some less savoury bodily functions. A DD1 accident that coincided with DD2 pooing in the bath really made my day.

weetimorousdizzybeastie · 25/01/2009 22:51

I do feel its a sign of my parenting skills somewhat though as if it were DD1 who threw up on me when she was a baby I'd have changed and chucked everything in the wash. Thesedays I apparently wipe the baby sick off my trousers and give myself a quick febreeze

Dylan pooped in the bath last week but it was on Dh's watch so I got away with it!!

how are the christening plans progressing?
