No way! That WAS me!
You MUST pop in for tea. Really you must. It's silly that you pass my house all the time and we never see each other. I would be up for meeting in Harlow, Chelmsford or Cambridge. Also still up for a "sleepover". I could even host if you like. I'm sure DH wouldn't mind going out. Hehehe. Really sorry about your wallpaper. Do you have another bit to hang in place of the ripped part?
LG&T, let me know when you're up for a visit. I can do Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays or I could even come on a weekend day and then leave A or even both kids with DH.
CP was great. It was fab to see AM again and her tiny bump and lovely to meet PJ. NOBODY'S children are as bad as they make out. I thought J & E were great and was impressed by how nicely they play together and how J was looking out for E in the pool and L went to bed really nicely at 9 and was asleep in 15 minutes. More to the point, L slept through whereas my two woke the Family Meadow at 5 on Sunday morning. They annoyed/ grumbled each other awake as the travel cots were next to each other and then started crying. I put them in separate rooms after AM left, which meant at least they didn't wake each other, but O started teething again with gusto, is apparently having a growth spurt and had had to be fed at 10 and again at 3 and again at 6. I waited a few mins after the 3am feed to change his nappy to make sure no poo was forthcoming, changed him, put him down, went back to bed whereupon he started screaming because he'd managed to poo up his chest fgs. Major clean up operation progressed. Had to go and find blankets because even the Grobag was destroyed. Took him an hour to get back to sleep. A kept kicking off her covers and crying because she was cold. (When do children learn to pull their own covers up anyway?) Then O was crying in his sleep from 5 with teething I think, A moaned and groaned until I gave her milk at 6 and I wondered how L was supposed to be the one with the sleep "issues" and my children were apparently "good sleepers".
So on top of the vom-fest on the way up, which required a 45 minute stop at a services to wash the car seat down (bearing in mind I had to get O in his car seat and A and her car seat and a bag of nappies/ clothes etc in from the car to the toilets with A covered in sick) you can see that AM and PJ must be really lovely to have made the trip worth the hassle.
You can imagine my response when on arrival at CP I was asked if I could "manage my stuff from the car park to the villa".
