Bleeeurrgggh, I've been up all night with the dreaded D & V. Poor dh has had to do everything this morning and has taken the dc off to a French friend's house where he will have to supervise the terrible toddler, swim with all three, eat a bbq and socialise all in French. Welcome to my world

TYG that site looks great thanks.

Sorry about the sore nips, ouch!

Jam, the chicken and chorizo went down a storm last night. As did the wine. Thanks a million. Shame I had to relook at it at 5am this morning

SKYTVADDICT · 25/01/2009 10:25

TYG - I have sent you an email and I will look at site for the office package thanks.

Sorry to hear you are not well TMAM. Rest today x

SKYTVADDICT · 25/01/2009 11:15

TYG - Email returned as undeliverable because of address. Can you fb me it, I may be being a bit thick!

largeginandtonic · 25/01/2009 13:40

Oh MrsJB i am so sorry. It must be a terrible thing to go through. You sound much more positive now, good way to start thinking. We will all be positive, she will beat this

Master hope you feel a bit better today,

Job stuff sounds scary, i would have no idea where to start. I have been a sahm for 10 years now!!!

Pink lol at you and NKOTB What does M think about all this

Back later with an epic, my parents have been to stay....

twelveyeargap · 25/01/2009 13:56

It's me being stupid. It's @gmail.com.

Will FB you anyway.

SKYTVADDICT · 25/01/2009 14:53

Thanks TYG its sent now x

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 25/01/2009 16:40

LG and T - he thinks I've gone mad, as does my mum. I've just found all my old programmes and photos. I look like such a knob! Think of poor Scoot - if it hadn't been for her being up North, I'd have made her come with me to see them tonight.

Sky - happy to look for you, but I'm not in work til Tuesday.

TMAM - sorry to hear you're feeling shitty.

L is much better now ta, just a stinking cold. We have lost all of our photos and videos of her, in a dodgy laptop / incompetent dh issue. But I'm remembering that some people have much bigger issues, and am keeping it in perspective.

SKYTVADDICT · 25/01/2009 22:35

It has been very quiet on here this weekend!

Job application gone off by email, thanks for the offer Pink but I decided it could go - TYG looked at it and would employ me apparently .

What a nightmare re photos. I think all ours are on disk as well as the PC but really must check.

SKYTVADDICT · 26/01/2009 06:43

OMG - I have put on 4lb since having Lewis. I thought bf was supposed to help you lose weight! I suppose that is only if you dont eat loads of crap to compensate though!

Today is day number of 1 of trying to lose weight.

MmeJaffaB · 26/01/2009 08:31

Get the wet things ready!!!

Put on half a pound. I've kind of had more important things on my mind last week, with dn and it was/is AF too. Didn't go off the rails but probably didn't eat enough of the right things. Feeling better now so here we go again.

Sky bf never had that effect on me either.... I think it's an old wives tale personally...or another one of these "as part of a calorie controlled diet" phrases. Good Luck to you.

Joe...hope L is feeling better, J has a stonker too. Snot fest galore.

AprilMeadow · 26/01/2009 08:50

Pebble has had her little boy.

HaggisGaloreInMyWellies · 26/01/2009 09:04

Fantastic news, congrats Pebble.

Worst night ever here there will be ranting and swearing.

Lachlan has lost the ability to sleep anywhere other than on me. He is also feeding constantly He finally fell asleep yesterday afternoon for an hour after being up since 6. Then that was it until 2am this morning and he slept till 5. DP or not so much of a D slept through it all and had the fucking audacity to pull the duvet over his head muttering and farting the most noxious smell all night long. I swear that was the worst bit I can deal with my nipples hanging by a thread and the no sleep and even Lachlan vomitting all down my boobs at midnight but the smell. I tell you this 2 child thing is hard work.

AprilMeadow · 26/01/2009 09:50

JAM, i'm sorry you are having a tough time with the little man at the moment, but i do have to say that i nearly spat my breakfast over the computer at the comments about J! I started having nightmares dreams about the whole giving birth thing/having 3 etc etc last night.

I have my early scan next tuesday that will hopefully put me out of my misery. We are going there all geared up for seeing 2 heartbeats and will hopefully come away just seeing 1. I feel like the biggest bag of poo going at the mo. Nothing is shifting the constant waves of sickness and the stress of last week certainly DID NOT HELP.

Got a busy week ahead as its DH's 30th on Thursday and his party on Saturday.

LG&T was the visit that bad then....?!

MrsJoe, you crack me up, i think i am going to need to see some of these pictures also how were NKOTB 2nd time round?

TMAM, how are you?

J didnt get into his chosen school which is just f'ing ridiculous as we live 0.5mile from it! I have just filled in my appeal slip and requested to go on the waiting list - have also put a letter in with the waiting list slip explaining that i am due to give birth the week that he starts school and how helpful it would be if they would consider my new situation etc etc. Fingers crossed....

How is everyone else?

MmeJaffaB · 26/01/2009 10:03

Jam, ewww at J, hope things settle with L.

I'm not LOL at the thought of twins AM....... honest, I'm not. Hope your appeal works to get J into school, what about your friend?

MmeJaffaB · 26/01/2009 10:35

Congratulations Pebble and family......

MKG · 26/01/2009 10:39

Good morning ladies!! I know I'm on freakishly early today.

First off. Congrats to Pebble!

Well I had my baby shower last night and it was beautiful. My sil worked so hard, and it was so nice. I won a Lennox vase in a game of bingo, and I got the sweetest little girly outfits ever. I feel almost completely ready for this baby to show her face.

I am ignoring all statements of worry from going from 1-2 or 2-3. I'm trying to be all ZEN about the whole thing. It will be easy and wonderful is my mantra.

charleymouse · 26/01/2009 11:01

Morning
Congratulations Pebble. Well done hope you are feeling ok.

Decided I am a crap housewife as never have enough time so this morning up just before 7:00, (early for me ) got on running machine for 12 mins (alternate running/walking), got kids their breakfast ready, paired socks/folded load of washing. Had a shower, got kids up and downstairs, breakfasted, dressed out the house by 8:30. Dropped off at nursery at 9:00 detour to drop DH off. Back to work to park at 9:30 then in office by 9:40. Where did my morning go? How can it take 2 hrs 40mins for me to get to work/kids to nursery. How will I ever cope with school in September?
Hope everyone had a good weekend. See you have got me bloody running hobbling along now, decided no time like the present so jumped on yesterday.

Sorry about the nips Jam Haggis
Oh begger April, we don't even get to here about the schools until March. Hope the sickness clears up soon.
Glad you're feeling better MrsJB. Dodgy scales what I say.
Sky bf not have that effect for me either unless it has and if not I would be the size of a small country by now.
Joe sorry about the pics. DH has ours backed up in triplicate as I couldn't bear to lose the ones of the boys.
LG&T dare we ask?
TMAM hope you are feeling better now. Take care.
Nim I polished off a box of Thorntons viennese truffles last week. At least they are gone now.
Scoot how was your weekend up north?
MKG how is the diabetes thing is the diet controlling it okay.
Hi Elkie, Anne, Abby. Doh typed this at 9:50 and forgot to hit post DOH

charleymouse · 26/01/2009 11:32

Aaargh sounds lovely MKG. Glad you had a nice time.

Apparently going from one to more than one is like going from having a pet to running a zoo.

Once you are running the zoo a few more animals makes little difference.
Ask LG&T.

One more makes no difference eh LG&T? (tis the parents that are the problem by then) Hope it was not too bad. Sending hugs in case it was.

AbbyLou · 26/01/2009 19:54

Evening all.
MrsJB I think it must be a bad week all round for weight loss. I just got back and stayed the same this week. I thought I'd been really good too, but obviously not! Never mind, onwards and upwards!
AM sorry to hear you are feeling so poo. Hopefully it will ease off soon. Also sorry to hear about J's school, what a nightmare. Like CM we don't find out until March. Good luck with the appeal, I haven't heard of many failed ones for primary school but I suppose it depends on how popular the school is. If C doesn't get into mine I've had it!

AprilMeadow · 26/01/2009 20:02

Popped into the school this morning and found that Jack is no:94 on the list, so only missed out by 4 places. But is does put us in a good position for getting him in eventually.

elkiedee · 26/01/2009 21:02

Congratulations to Pebble

No news here

Themasterandmargaritas · 27/01/2009 05:46

Morning all from the poo and vom infested household. I am much better thanks, but ds1 now has it and J was up for 2 hours last night so I think he is about to be hit. What joys.

Congratulations Pebble, great news! We wait to hear what name you chose for the little fellow. Elkie stay calm, so soon, so soon....

Anyway, Pink I wanted to say how dreadful to have lost those photos, I feel for you. You are being very calm about it all and you are right in the scheme of things it is not the end of the world but I admit I would be pretty damn upset. Sorry about L feeling off, have you rescheduled the jab? Did you go to the gig again or is that this week??

Good luck Sky with the job app, when is the closing date? I haven't yet applied for mine, I need a clear head (and tummy) to be able to write a convincing cover letter.

As for you Ma Larkin, pray tell, what happened when the family was all together? We love a bit of drama. Did you confess all about your feelings towards yours sister? C'mon girl get back on and spill the beans, anyone would think you are tied up with a tiny baby or something. Love the FB pictures, the girl is the spit of her next big brother.

Jam lol at the description of your dp Just think you will have so much time on your hands when they start at playschool, so hey, only another year to wait J came into our bed last night between 11.30 and 2 am. During that time ds1 got up to go to the loo with my help, 3 times, the house alarm went off twice and it pissed it down noisily with rain. Did dh move at all? Nope. This morning he said, 'let's not make bringing J into bed with us a regular habit or it will be hard to break'. I almost threw a mango at him.

How are you feeling April? Still terribly yeuky? Have you tried a small piece of peeled ginger steeped in boiling water? I'm pretty sure that if there are 90 school places not all will be taken and J will get in. Fingers crossed. What's the alternative? The whole school placement thing is such an issue isn't it?

No comment on having three dc. Or the school run.

SKYTVADDICT · 27/01/2009 07:26

Morning all

Glad you are feeling better TMAM. Closing date for job tomorrow. Found another one on PC this mornig at a school - advertised as full time or two part time and asking what hours you would be willing to work - going to ring for an application form later.

Not long now Elkie x

DP always wakes when they boys do so I don't have much to complain about on that score. He always gets up to C even on work days as he says I have to deal with/feed L. Anyway, last night they both slept through apart from both being settled with their dummies once. DP on the other hand went to bed at 10 pm got called out gritting at 11.45 (for 12.30) and didn't get in until 5.15 - then got up for work at 6.30 . He then won't be home until about 5 tonight with the prospect of gritting again tonight (all week in fact).

largeginandtonic · 27/01/2009 09:05

Full sympathy Jam, i know where you are coming from. DH has an eye mask so the light i put on to feed/change bum does not affect him It's fine though, he gets up in the morning and sorts the school run etc... of course when his Paternity leave ends i may not be quite so forgiving.

I have mastitis right boob all red down one side and i can't even lift my arm above my head. Midwife today so will get her to have a look, i have done the hot flannels and bath/shower while expressing. Put the girl in the rugby ball position too last night while gulping paracetemol. Not made a bit of difference. Hope it clears before the dreaded flu like stuff appears.

Congratulations Pebble!!! Does he have a name? Will check FB later.

Nim i read the FB message just have had no time to reply yet. Glad you liked the Lush stuff I couldn't believe it when i saw gingerbread bath bombs and soap!!!

Parents came at the weekend, i have lost patience with them. I mentioned the sister situation and my mother said that ex and his wife are 'only coming to the evening do'. FFS. I pointed out she could invite them to the ceremony if she fecking wants as i will not be going I beyond upset about it. They do not get it, my sister is obviously avoiding the whole situation. DH has told me i have to phone her and discuss it. I didn't do it yesterday as her fiancee has just gone away to sea.

Good lord i wrote this lot yestarday morning! Will have to catch up again now and re post...

H's birthday today so we are doing a Toys R Us run later, he is very excited

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 27/01/2009 09:12

Congratulations Pebble!

LG&T - glad the parents ordeal is over, enjoy the Toys R Us run, we did that yesterday, at one point L had four dolls in her hands. Getting her to put them back was mucho fun.

Sky - glad dh is doing his bit.

TMAM - I know, I know, but no amount of wailing and screaming will bring the videos back, I do have hard copies of the photos, so am trying to focus on that. (And not kill dh with a blunt instrument.)

L is fine - getting over her cold, must ring and reschedule jab AGAIN. It's getting very tiresome now.

We're all fine, except my mum is being really weird about this NKOTB thing. She thinks I 'want to be a little girl again'. I've been trying to explain to her that it's not a case of me trying to recapture my lost youth, I just love them! And I loved them so much when I was a kid that I used to vomit before the concerts as I got so overexcited (and this is not your cue to say you'd all vomit because they're so bad), so why would it be any different now? My music tastes haven't changed as I've gotten older. I still listen to Wham: The Final in the car! I tried to use a Donny Osmond analogy but it got a little lost in translation.

Woo hoo - AM and I are going to CP a week on Friday. I shall be holding her hair back while she pukes.
