Sky - sounds like you should come and work with me.

charleymouse · 23/01/2009 11:29

Mrs JB so sorry to hear about your niece. Hopefully the chemo won't be too bad and get the result they are hoping for.

Scoot were in Harlow from 12:45 until 14:30 garage had lost log book for their car. DOH. Have the same as before a VW Touareg a blue 3 litre one this time, bit more nippy for sitting queeing in

AM so sorry someone is hassling you, don't give up the course chick they are not worth it.

Nim you have the job. Congratulations.

Good luck Sky and TMAM with your job hunting, obviously can't offer you one yet as have not seen your CVs. You can see I do not demand much I am very demanding and only take the highest calibre applicants as have alreay taken on Nim.

got to actually work today as busy at the moment and have loads of deadlines to meet so may be AWOL awhile.

SKYTVADDICT · 23/01/2009 11:34

Yuk deadlines - not looking forward to those.

Only deadlines I have at the mo are school drop off and pick up and I don't always manage those! If i am lucky enough to get an interview I won't be pointing that out of course.

DD2 now wants me to help with bindeez - a new one on me so wish me luck (beads that youwet apparently)

MmeJaffaB · 23/01/2009 12:01

Thank you for the wishes and the support....

Have just had a lovely chat/cry with SIL on the phone. She is going to see A after the weekend, she has 3 grueling sessions of chemo starting today.
They are waiting for bone marrow results. Her mum has cut all A's hair off and A is very confused and thinks she is being punished for being naughty when she was little. She doesn't want anyone to touch her or look at her, she's very scared and told SIL that she doesn't want to die. SO

Cruel, Cruel world. I am in bits for BIL and his GF, we can all appriciate how horrible this must be for them I'm sure and thats what I'm finding so hard. My pain is with our family for her.

(((((group hug))))))

Themasterandmargaritas · 23/01/2009 12:02

Nim, what a fabulous CV! All manner of opportunities open to you.

Have emailed you Pink, but promise not to laugh now, ok?

Charley I would love to come and work for you. Can't I set up your African office for you, you know you need one really.

Good luck Sky, that is impressive multitasking.

Themasterandmargaritas · 23/01/2009 12:04

MrsJB, tears here for you. They are all in my thoughts.

NimChimpsky · 23/01/2009 12:25

Oh God MrsJB. She's just a baby.

charleymouse · 23/01/2009 12:36

Oh MJB giving you a big squeeze my love.

I know it is early days but MIL had a wig when she had chemo and there is a really good shop in Sheffield near the hospital, not sure what they offer for children though. How about a nice shocking pink one like Steph from Lazytown or can we offer a nice hat/headscarf. Not sure if this is something that will bother her or not but more as it so bloody cold at the moment she might just need something to keep her warm.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

charleymouse · 23/01/2009 12:38

TMAM you are appointed Director of Moral Support and Secret Santaing via the African Office.

Obviously hours to suit yourself and very hefty pay packet.

Oh and of course 3 hours Mnetting compulsory per day.

HaggisGaloreInMyWellies · 23/01/2009 12:41

MrsJB how utterly devastating. Thinking if you. x

NimChimpsky · 23/01/2009 12:42

What job is it I'm doing CM? What's the pay?

OP posts:
MKG · 23/01/2009 12:43

MJB- I just wanted to say how sorry I am. I hope your niece can beat this.

elkiedee · 23/01/2009 13:00

Mrs JB, poor kid - sorry again

TYG, thanks for the reminder about Alison, I intended to try and contact bf support people now and find out about the best thing to do if I need their support once baby turns up. The doctor I saw at 41 weeks was very insistent about induction, remember I'm 9 years older than you! Apparently the view that maternal age makes a difference on this isn't really that based on medical evidence but I fear that won't make it easier to fight it.

NimChimpsky · 23/01/2009 13:09

elkiedee, it's such a complicated time isn't it? I do hope things are different from last time.

I just pierced my belly button. Might do the washing up now.

Obviously in your case pay will be based on Kg of gingerbread.

You will be required to do the following:
Sing nursery rhymes (with actions). Pontificate on the movie known as Shrek. Breastfeed the armed forces.
Teach the illiterate how to read.
One Literotica Mills and Boon short story must be written and published per week.
Swimming must be undertaken bi-weekly and in a cold river/lake.
Supervision and Health and Wellbeing of M must be maintained at current exemplary levels whilst also running marathon every Friday.
Day visit to CP weekend of early Feb 2009.
The uniform will be provided in kit form to be made up by yourself and will constitute both patchwork and hemp and a small amount of crochet.
Evidence of all of this must be captured through the use of sketching and photography.
Mumsnet must be undertaken simultaneously to all of the above.
Any other duties as deemed appropriate by Charleymouse.

PJ can you just check these are not unreasonable requests for new employee? Cheers

charleymouse · 23/01/2009 13:10

On purpose or by accident? Nim

NimChimpsky · 23/01/2009 13:11

Easy peasy. What a job. Although the gingerbread might ruin the weight loss I've achieved over the last year. I know, run an extra weekly marathon to compensate.

DOH fat finger moment sorry.

MKG · 23/01/2009 13:23

Does anyone have a job for someone who speaks Spanish, sells children's clothes, and get's pregnant at the drop of a hat. Do you think I can put that on a resumé?

NimChimpsky · 23/01/2009 13:28

That's a heady night out indeed.

On purpose. With a skewer. Feel a bit rebelly now, might listen to something anti-establishment.

OP posts:
MKG · 23/01/2009 13:31

Oh Nim I tried that in high school. I laid down on my bed with a needle and a hoop earring and tried. Luckily my sister came in and told me I looked like an idiot.

NimChimpsky · 23/01/2009 13:34

Thanks MKG.

charleymouse · 23/01/2009 13:41

MKG thought you already had one. Obviously if this is better you can head up the American department. We shall rule the world. Nim has East Anglia, TMAM Africa, you America and I have Yorkshire. All the important places covered methinks.

Ooh vinyl Nim, are we the only ones with record players?

Ouch didn't that hurt?
