hello

although I'm probably talking to myself.

simply grilled with butter is yummy natty, or they go really well with fennel if you have any fennel seeds in your spice rack.

this place gets worse...poor revjustabout is at the centre of it again and has had to justify her existence to MN to prove she isn't a troll

RIAchforthestars · 20/01/2009 22:30

phew, kids ALL asleep, all but one thing of the washing up done (if DH can soak oven trays for days then so can I), uniform ironed for tomorrow (go on, I dare you t find fault oh school of perfection)

and now I am sitting on the sofa admittedly with a headache and a glass of wine, and I bloody deserve it!

meeting with friend was lovely. her partner made a point of saying we needed to try and do it once a week then we might manage it one a fortnight. By way of smoothing things over I said that it had been a pretty strange year last year and it would be nice to get settled again. I think we both understood each other. Baggins was like a different child - he just SAT(it was made easier by having none of the bigger children there) I took flowers too, as one of my "new me" things is taking joy to people(but Dsis only gets them with a yellow ticket, as do I)

RIAchforthestars · 20/01/2009 22:32

what's happening daisy???

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 20/01/2009 22:38

you know daisy i was thinking that. its like a witch hunt atm on MN, very

LackaDAISYcal · 20/01/2009 22:39

too complicated to explain succinctly ria, but it's more fallout from the moldiegate thing the other week and another, genuine poster is being hounded for being rather too outspoken on the subject and it appears someone has been poking about in her RL as well.

OP posts:
NattyPlus2andAHalf · 20/01/2009 22:39

whats a spice rack?

teehee

RIAchforthestars · 20/01/2009 22:48

oh, why (and how) do they do that? MNet is NOT real life, that's why most of us are here FGS. If RL was the better place that's where we would all be.

RIAchforthestars · 20/01/2009 22:53

g'nite all, thanks for the support.

BTW, not a creak of unsettledness from DS1s room tonight sleeping like a baby

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 21/01/2009 06:48

Hope everyone had a good night. An early start (6am) here, same as yesterday. After weeks, if not months. of her sleeping to 7. And I've woken with a sore throat, headache, and bunged up nose

Natty, I hope you got something to eat last night.

LittleMissNorty · 21/01/2009 08:18

Morning all

Thanks for the link Daisy...going to go and have a read and then compose my e-mail to HR/payroll

Hope you're not coming down with anything Jammy .... we've managed to avoid everything so far...

Ria...glad you got things a bit more sorted, and hopefully DS1 slept well having had a good chat with his mum....10 minutes a day on your own with him sounds like a great idea....I would've loved that as a child with my mum and dad....but time is such an issue....even with a 19 month old, especially on a work day I find myself reaching for the remote and cBeebies so I can drink a cup of tea in peace . Hope he gets on OK at school today.

Well done Tom ....DD pulled her trousers down yesterday and took her nappy off and wandered around weeing on the floor (why can I not find poppered vests in 18-24 size!?)....and she would only sit on the potty chair if her nappy and trousers were on

Right, second to last day on my own.....DD at nursery...so I'm going to start with a peaceful shower, followed by a small amount of housework, a bit of peaceful shopping without a toddler, followed by a pub lunch with DH and a bit of relaxation this afternoon before collecting K from nursery ...only one more Wednesday like this, so have got to make the most of it!!

RIAchforthestars · 21/01/2009 09:29

I got poppered vests from sainsburys norty, and I think I saw some in Tesco. can't live without them!

DS is upstairs in bed, and DH is taking him to docs later (he has stress eczema even if we don't mention anything else)

RIAchforthestars · 21/01/2009 09:34

DH just spoken to the school, it seems it was a very unsatisfactory conversation. He and DS are meeting with head of year tomorrow. I SO don't want all this school shit to start again

Sputnik · 21/01/2009 09:56

Enjoy your day Norty. If you can't find larger vests anywhere else there's always here or here.

Ria, I hope you can clear things up with the school.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 21/01/2009 11:01

norty if thomas is potty trained now (i wont relax yet lol) you can have his vests. they have boats and stuff on them, just a little one on the front, not all over. would you mind them being boys ones?

morning all, got my salmon, grilled it in the end with butter thanks daisy

currys man came this monring and reckons there is nothing wrong with it

my landlady calling currys now to demand a refund she is not impressed.

Hey butterfly; I saw you saying on another thread that you navigate using threads I'm on so was going to post you a link next time I saw you. Didn't think you had abandined us

PMSL at lots of salt to make things taste scottich

I've been to see my psych this morning. I have to increase my dose of ADs . I've been getting flashes of horrible things happening like dropping a knife on the baby, crashing the car, DS being run over etc, and me being me, just thought I was being overly dramatic. But, I've been feeling really crap after starting off so well and am thinking things like this several times a day so told the Dr this morning. He said that obsessive thoughts can happen with PND so wants me to increase my dose and nip it in the bud before it gets worse. Now I just have to work out how to tell DH because, a) it sounds really silly and b) he has no idea how crap I've really been feeling. I just want to be well and am really fed up with this

arses to colds and crappy washing machines

Norty...vertbaudet do popper vests up till age 3/4

Went to check on DD lasn night and she had half undressed herself....all the poppers on her sleepsuit undone, vest poppers undone and nappy half off and the bed wet. She was freezing cold as well and had to be wrapped in the duvet and cuddled to stop her shivering. Silly girl!

Another 7hours plus sleep from bumble though

aw daisy sorry to hear your not coping as well as you thought. i get anxiety things like that, flashes of bad things. have doen for years, and your a worrier like me. so it cOULD be ur pnd, or you could be a nutter like me.
either way dont beat yourself up, you are doing amazingly well considering bumble has been a trickly baby.

and dont forget we love ya, and dont judge ya, so feel free to rant here anytime

thanks natty and butterfly. tbh I've had flashes like this for a long time, but not as frequently as they have been recently. I'm not one for talking therapies, as I tend to be all "oh, I'm fine" and not actually do any talking. I think my psych was surprised at how much I was talking about it today to be honest. Mind you, maybe some talking therapy will help me my not liking to talk about it issues . We'll up the dose and see how things go, although I've to take 2 one day and then 1 the next! I've had to write it on the calendar as I'll never remeber which day is which!

natty, love your trickly baby typo

I think the dusting powder is rice powder based. It irritates my nose whatever it is though!

sits in the corner with the other nutters

I wonder of bumble's new found love of sleeping has anything to do with my giving up caffeinated tea and coffee? I's still having the odd can of coke and a fair amount of chocolate though.

Sputnik · 21/01/2009 13:10

Nice to have you back Butterfly!
I am obviously a nutter too, I used to get those kinds of flashes alot when pg or when DS was small, less so now though. I kind of thought it went along with the protective instincts of motherhood (even the dark stuff IYKWIM)

Like Butterfly said Daisy only you can assess in the end if increasing your dose is helping. Keeping a diary sounds good.
