Jammy sounds lovely. Was the stuff Elemis?

Daisy, daisy bag lady! How are you and yours doing?

Ria, hope you feel better soon. Do you have a college near you where you could go and get cheap treatments? I'm desperately trying to find a hairdresser offering free or v cheap haircuts from students as I look awful at the moment and need something to perk me up.

LackaDAISYcal · 17/01/2009 20:24

PMSL at Daisy, Daisy, Bag lady. I think that might just need to be my new moniker

We doing great......we have won a few recent battles against sleep, but haven't won the war as yet. It's slowly getting better though, the last few nights he has settled by 1am and slept till 6ish or esle slept from about 10.30 and woken once at 3ish. DD is a cheeky little minx and is doing really well. She seems sooooo grown up now. When are you coming up North again? We need to meet up

I must update my photos. You can tell bumble is an NSC...we barely have any photos of him

LackaDAISYcal · 17/01/2009 20:26

and how are you and yours? I should add

that's a great idea about hairdressing models....good way for a cheap hairdo. I'll get on the case next week. I cut my fringe this morning and made a bit of a mess of it, so I need something done sharpish!!

We are fine. DH and I had our usual argument today about what we are going to do tomorrow. He doesn't want to do what I want (go swimming) and can't understand this need to do something and would happily do nothing all weekend

DD is being a complete dream at the moment, mostly, and when she isn't it's usually down to my neglect and impatience , she is just so cute, and like your DD, very grown up, she is very independent. She had a yoghurt for pud today and I was trying to hold the pot so she could get the spoon in and she kept taking it out of my hand and placing it back on the table as if to say 'stop bloody interferring!'

LackaDAISYcal · 17/01/2009 20:52

lol DD does that too

She is developing a bit of a wicked sense of humour as well which is really funny. this whole calling the baby bumble thing is, I suspect, just a big joke on her part, as she insists on him being bumble with a real glint in her eye

are you still BFing?

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 17/01/2009 20:53

oh, and DH is a bit like that as well. Or if he wants to do anything, it's bloody fishing

don't you just hate it when you post on another thread and get completely ignored?

I posted on Jan AN to say I loved their thread title and to tell them about T'belle as they had her on the still waiting list...and have been completely overlooked

I always try and acknowledge any new posters to a thread I'm on...tis only polite!

just chatted to my mum and dad

but ds2 is sulking cos his favourite cousin was still asleep might have to ring again tomorrow

had better get them to bed. DH might not be late tonight

happynewRia · 17/01/2009 21:13

oops hi bumper.

I don'tknow if I could bring myself to actually go for any treatments, but I like the idea of being pampered. It is not fair to go to college with my masses of hair though. I went to have it highlighted a couple of years ago and the poor girl ran out of time because it is so thick. I would be happy enough if DH just replaced the Sancutary bubble bath he used up and let me havehalf an hour without the kids banging on the door or shouting.

Note to self for when I get back - FACEBOOK!!!

Sputnik · 17/01/2009 21:27

Evening all
They are cute atm aren't they.
DS has recently got into dancing, he is totally adorable!

BumpermightsuetheSindie · 17/01/2009 21:30

Awww ria, you need some you time! Are you missing your parents?

Daisy, sadly I had to stop bfing when I went to work FT. We were only doing mornings by then and it just wasn't working out. She didn't bat an eyelid really, I was in two minds, really sad, but relieved at the same time.

I'm going to go anyway as I have been on the 'puter too long! Night all x

LackaDAISYcal · 17/01/2009 22:11

ria, i wuld kill for lovely thick hair like yours. Mine is soooo fine and flyaway and just hangs limply.

I've ordered a pillow with a dimple in the middle for bumble's head. He's getting a flat spot as he always lies with his head on one side. Maybe I'm being vain on his behalf, but I don't want anything to spoil his devilishly good looks

Feeding time and then bedtime for me.

night all

Just watched a lovely film with DH - Stardust.

Not Elemis, Bumper, it was Dermalogica. I am considering going back before the end of Feb to get a half price treatment (What a sucker I am eh?) Will just look at their proce list and see what's relatively cheap!

happynewRia · 18/01/2009 00:34

DH just got in. He has been washing up and keeps making involuntary clicking noises in the shoulder area He could wash up at home if he's that bloody keen on it

happynewRia · 18/01/2009 10:03

oh so tired, Dh and I stayed up chatting til gone 2am.
He has his day off today, hope we get to do something nice as well as stay in and growl at the kids!
Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 18/01/2009 10:39

Well I have filed the important paperwork from 2008 and DH is shredding the stuff we don't need but with personal details etc on.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 18/01/2009 10:41

(Sorry, didn't mean to actually post at that stage)

So not a very exciting morning, but useful. I guess the moral is we ought to sort out our paperwork more frequently!

happynewRia · 18/01/2009 12:30

us too jammy (well DH actually, it's his job and he does little else...)

lovely sunny and windy today. washing blowing on the line.

unfortunately baggins decided to investigate the contents of his nappy so I have to clean the playpen - yuk!

happynewRia · 18/01/2009 12:58

can't even Mnet in peace as have OPC again.

DS1s BF didn't fancy what was for lunch at his house so he came here. I think I must be getting old, things seem to have changed since I was a kid!

Sputnik · 18/01/2009 13:32

You should take that as a compliment Ria

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 18/01/2009 13:57

Jamlet brought me her coat, which I took as a sign that she wanted to go out So we went to "the field", an area of grass about 2 mins from us set between blocks of houses. Took her there on her trike, which we "parked" by a tree while we walked round (her holding my hand) looking at stuff. Patted some dogs, then got back on trike and came home. She was very happy. The simple things, eh? It was lovely though, I hope they don't ever try to build on it

happynewRia · 18/01/2009 14:01

jammy.
baggins is sleeping, despite the best efforts of DS1 DS2 & OPC. He brings his coat all the time, poor boy. I will make more effort to be a good mummy this week. I would love to go and get in bed with him and snuggle him but I know he'll wake up as soon as I get comfy!

RIAchforthestars · 18/01/2009 14:05

new positive Ria

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 18/01/2009 16:04

Our cat has just vommed up liquid that would have been clear if it wan't tinged pink with, presumably, blood She's been off her food recently too. I think a trip to the vet might be in order

DH and Jamlet were out for an hour and a half and I did loads of little jobs - and wrote a long list of all the things that need doing round the house. I have about 60 items on my list . DH has promised that if I wrote a list we can tackle them a few each weekend Trouble is we are away (separately) next weekend .
